Ashlee Price has delivered us another must have read when we meet Ava and Scott. They were the best of friends [he the only son of billionaires] and they both want to go into medicine. So she becomes a doctor and he a surgeon. They spend one night together without revealing their true feelings for each other. But they get on with their lives and don’t see each other for 7 years – unless you count when she sees him being interviewed on tv. But now he’s back and he knows that he needs her and wants to help her. She’s in an abusive relationship with a creep of a boyfriend that Scott wants to hurt badly and her mother tried to marry her off to pay off her own debts!! But how does Ava feel for Scott now?Will she see him for the man that she loves who loves her so much and what about the secret? Ashlee caught my attention at page one and kept it right to the very end. I was so pleased that Scott was there for Ava – just wish he’d come back sooner. She didn’t deserve the awful situation that she was in and getting this from two people, one being her own mother,- she didn’t stand a chance. A real page turner that you won’t want to put down and it was so good that I know that I will be re-reading this in the future.
