Chance McCallister and his two younger brothers come back to Springwell where they grew up for their Dad’s funeral. Chance has just retired as a Navy SEAL and still has his love of tinkering with cars that he had a a youth. Back then he used to go to Maddy’s dad’s garage and help out – a great way to learn about cars and spend time with her. But fate lead to him joining up and leaving her broken hearted. He was also broken hearted and never forgot about her so when he comes back and the attraction is still there, he isn’t going to just let her be bullied and harassed by some creepy man who won’t leave her alone. But he doesn’t realise how much debt her dad left her to pay off and things look bleak for them. Beautifully written by Leslie North and I loved the interactions between Maddy and Chance. It was so obvious that they belonged to each other and I must say the ending was FABULOUS!!!!! No spoilers from me but just enjoy!! This is the first of three of the SEAL & Veteran Series by Leslie and this is a magnificent start to it! I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
