Solomon’s Eagle Kindle Edition by Andrew Stanek [Reviewed by M]

Andrew sent me a free copy of this book, I originally started following him as a result of reading his humorous novels. He’s written far fewer political novels and as a UK citizen I’m a little removed from US politics, but this is in reality a detective who-done-it. The idea of setting it in an America in the near future which has fractured in two along political lines is an original one to me and works well. Its strongest element is Detective Mark August who develops into a 3-dimensional character with a back story that develops as he searches though the red herrings to find the guilty party; complete with a clever twist at the end.
I’m not sure if Andrew intended this to be the start of a series, but I would like to read more of Detective August’s adventures hunting down criminals and there is more than enough of him for his back story to be further developed.
I voluntary leave my honest option of it here and would recommend it to you.
