This book illustrates why Mia Ford is one of my favourite authors and one of the most popular for romance novels. She writes from the heart, creating characters that we love. In this book, we are introduced to Reese who is a 23 year old virgin, who owns a business with her friend, Leena, caring for animals. Reese knows exactly the type of man that she wants and so she tends to be rather particular whom she goes out with. Leena persuades her to go to a friend’s wedding and it is there that she meets Blaine. Now Blaine, is not totally your average multi billionaire playboy. Sure he can get any woman he wants but he’s a bit of a tech nerd. Caleb, his best friend, little sister is getting married and Blaine is also invited to her wedding. When he sees Reese he is in instant lust with her and she is reluctantly attracted to him too and they flirt. But before he can ask for her phone number Caleb drags him away saying that Reese is not the woman for him. But he can’t get her out of his thoughts so he asks the bride for her number. Blaine has a secret that he hasn’t shared with Reese that will be important for any potential relationship, just as she hasn’t shared something with him. The chemistry between them is sizzling and their dialogue is flirtatious and witty. I loved the way Mia wove her story including details that made them come alive and made me root for them. The story takes place over a year and has fantastic epilogues for all of you to enjoy. What I did love was the way that Blaine’s character did develop over the 12 month period and it is easy to see why Reese falls in love with him. With hot and steamy sexy scenes and passion in bucketfuls and romance flowing between the pages, this is a real page turning story that I didn’t want to put down and read it into the wee small hours of the morning as they say.
DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
I loved this book so much that I know I will re-read it again and again so I purchased my own copy. !
