We Meet Again
What a wonderful second chance at love that Jess Bentley has penned for us here. We meet Parish who is a lovely young woman who was the nerdy quiet type at school who no one took any notice of except for Hawk. he was the handsome bad boy who all the girls wanted but he wanted Parish.They have a night of passion where he takes her v-card and then leaves, taking her heart with him, to go to LA to follow his dream of becoming an architect. Shortly afterwards Parish marries his younger brother Matt and they seem so very happy until he dies and then she gives birth two weeks later to a beautiful baby girl she called Gracie. Hawk couldn’t face them at home so didn’t even return for his brother’s funeral which makes Parish and his sister, Anna, furious at him. Matt’s parents make Parish their ranch manager and life goes on for 10 years when Matt’s dad asks Hawk to design a new barn for him. This means he’s coming back home but what sort of a welcome will he get? Jess has created some wonderful characters here. Anna is a feisty young woman who says it as it is and she is NOT happy with hawk for deserting them all these years. Parish was broken hearted when he left without a word and then he never even returned for the funeral that are not going to make life easy for him But he still loves Parish- she’s the only woman that he has or ever will love. To find out whether they get their chance of love with a HEA you need to read this book. Just a warning though..as once I started reading this I didn’t put it down till I’d finished it and then the bonus story was just so good too!! This is a book by Jess so, if you’ve read her books before, you will know that it will also include some humour and the characters are so well developed that you almost feel as if you know them. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and encourage you to try this too. I got the book on KU to read the bonus story but am buying it so I have a copy to re-read in the future.
