Falling Angels
I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. In this fantasty story by Valerie Twombly we meet archangel Tegan who is part of the elite archangels and his mission is to keep close watch on all the emerging species. To assist him in his endeavours he is introduced to Rhea who desperately wants to go to Earth. Tegan is still in mourning having had to leave the woman he loved behind although they had a daughter together who is now the Angel of Death. Rhea is a relatively young angel compared to Tegan but she is given instructions that Tegan must not find out and she feels uncomfortable with it, but as she is looking for her Mate and wants to go to Earth she feels that she has no other choice but to act as his wife down there. They begin by inspecting the vampires and see whether they are a threat or will they be allowed to ‘live’ . behind the scenes, higher up in the hierarchy want Tegan to have another child and they are using Rhea as the bait. Therre is a natural attraction between her and Tegan and so this aids her instructions but although Tegan tries to resist her, he can only do so for so long. The sex scenes are sensual and HOT and yes, you will need your fans switched to MAX, but it is done so well and fits in naturally with the storyline. This is book 6 in the series and , whilst I haven’t read all of the others yet, it can easily be read as a standalone. Will they get their own HEA?
