Bestill my beating heart! WHEW! R.R. banks has succeeded again in making me swoon. he just seems to know instinctively how to grab the attention of the reader with a fabulous romantic story with some unusual twists. There is also, as its by RR Banks, humour throughout the storyline and it’s like the icing on a cake. Roxie needs help as she doesn’t want to go to her BFF’s wedding and see her cheating ex there [who just happens to be her BFF’s brother]. In comes Luca. and he agrees to play the part of her boyfriend for the wedding. But once he meets her all bets are off [yes, he’d been rather juvenile and made a bet with a friend – but that comes later!]as he wants to make her not just his real girlfriend but his One & Only! Roxie is feisty which Luca loves – in fact he loves just about everything about her. But he has a major secret that not even all his friends know about him.The comedic moments are wonderful and make this story come alive also because the characters are so 3-dimensional as RR Banks is so good at creating well developed characters that seem almost real. I loved Luca and Roxie as you can probably tell. I also loved some of the romantic moments in the book such as when he got his friend Captain Benson to ‘surprise’ her! Full of life, many red hot steamy scenes,love in it’s many forms and great twists in the story. Will Roxie forgive whatever Luca’s secret is all about? Is Roxie even interested in Luca or does she want her cheating ex back [of course not!]. This is a fun book with plenty of heat and just proves why RR Banks is a Top 100 writers. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Needless to say, as I’d loved this so much, I purchased my own copy to indulge in and enjoy the bonus books.
