Unexpected Marriage
Arcadia is in Las Vegas on a dad- daughter holiday but, of course, he’s not turned up to meet her for dinner nor bought the tickets to see the show that he’s promised her. So this feisty 29 year old young woman goes to play in the casino and it there that she attracts the attention of billionaire playboy Xavier Dean who is on a stag do weekend for his friend and got bored. When he sets eyes on Arcadia, he and all the other males in the room are focused entirely on her. He’s just looking for a one night stand but she’s no push over and he has to use all his charm to even get her to have a drink with him. Whilst there is sizzling attraction between the two of them that is almost combustible she refuses to just go to bed with him. In fact, she gets him to do somethings that he has never done before! One of them being getting a tattoo of her name in a pretty font on his bicep whilst she gets one on her ankle [because he refuses to let the touchy tattoo artist touch her thigh] with an adorable dolphin which is close to her heart and her masters degree. One thing leads to another and with too much drink in both of them, they end up getting married to each other but they both think it’s just for the one night! But things always don’t go as planned and soon they find themselves in hiding and still happily married to each other. I’m not giving any spoilers as this is way too good a story told by Sarah J. Brooks in her inimitable way which shows why she is one of the USA’s top best selling authors. Beautifully written and prepare to fall in love with Xavier [don’t call him X] and Arcadia and let the bad guys get their just ‘reward’. A wonderful story that I will be re-reading in the future as it is just so good and a fantastic unique storyline.
