Outracing Demons: A Best Friend’s Little Sister Love Story by Ali Parker

Racing Against Time – A Fabulous Read!!

Mason Thomas was The Man – The Street King until everything fell apart and the wife, Evie, that he loved more than himself betrayed him in one of the worst ways possible. This nearly led to his brother, Rick, dying [fortunately ‘only’ seriously injured] and he sank into six months of drink forgetting about his life and his addiction for speed racing the streets of New York whilst avoiding the police. When his brother turns up with a 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback he knows that he is going to sober up, dust himself down and show Sis and Mark [whom he lost his wife to] and everyone else that he was back ! Rick, his best friend Benji and Benji’s little sister Lania [whom he never even really looked at before as he was married but, oh my has she grown into a stunning young woman who is HOT] all help him prepare for the race. The first win has them all going out to celebrate and this is where he and Lania really get together [she’s crushed on him for years but never thought she stood a chance as he was married back then]. But Lania is great for Mason and helps him believe in himself and his confidence that was so badly broken with what Evie did to him. But is this just a rebound hookup – in which case is Benji going to be furious with him? Will Sid and Mark just let him keep winning the races as they’ve been winning whilst he wasn’t driving? With some very dirty deeds being played out, kidnapping, lies, and some excellent connections, friends, love and some fabulous cars this is one heck of a storyline that kept me engrossed from first to last page. I so loved the ending although my heart was in my mouth times with what was happening. The race scenes are so well written that it’s almost as if you’re there in the car with Mason. Such a great story that perfectly illustrates how good an author Ali Parker is and why she is a USA best selling author! Just fabulous!  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended – I’m looking forward to her next book.
