Run Away with Me (Lone Star Lovers Book 4) by Taylor Holloway

f 5 starsA Wonderful Read With Amazing Characters by Taylor Holloway. Enjoy!

Jason’s life was not easy. He lived on the family junkyard with his mum, some animals and that was that. No father. They lived a very sparse life and were often the subjects of spiteful comments by people in the small town in which they lived. His first day at school, all but one child was mean to him. That person was little, gorgeous Wendy. Now Wendy was a few years younger than him but he was put in her reading group as he couldn’t read at all {no he wasn’t illiterate but to find out you need to read the book]. Wendy and he became firm friends despite her family’s warnings. It was only as they got older when her father banned him from coming to her home. He and she were each others’ FIRSTs in everything that mattered and they truly loved one another. But he had nothing to offer her and he left without a word and broke her heart. Years later he is in one of the most successful rock bands ever and after a tour he is back in Texas when he meets her accidentally in a bar where she is working. This is when life changing things take place. Truths emerge and feelings are put out there. Do they stand a chance of rekindling their friend or even their love? No spoilers from me. Taylor Holloway has really composed a such a great storyline here for us all to enjoy. With such fabulous characters that are so flawed in so many ways but also so ready to do anything for love and acceptance. Many of the secondary characters are so great too. The bar owners and their regulars [well apart from one guy!!!!] and her ‘fiancĂ©e’ from their small town – a good guy now that he’s grown up in so many ways but Jason still can’t quite get over all that happened and he gets his revenge in such a sweet way. There is humour that is natural peppered throughout the book which makes it all the more realistic and a great read. A fast paced book that was very difficult to put down as it was such an enjoyable read. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Definitely recommended
