Filthy Dirty Brother: A Forbidden Cousins Romance by Mia Ford

Not Quite As I Expected But Some Great Writing Anyway… Well Worth Reading!

This story was not quite what I expected. By the title I thought Sam and Kay were brother and sister and, therefore, totally taboo for a relationship together. But they’re not – they’re first cousins so why Mia Ford gave the book this title perplexes me? Sam irritates me with his immature behaviour and using any excuse not to get a proper job! He and Kay were not brought up knowing each other and they are very s@xually attracted to one another. However, there are some very real reasons why close relatives are discouraged from having s@xual relationships because of the birth defects that are very high in cases such as this and is as very real problem in societies where cousin marrying cousin is encouraged in Asia for example. Discounting this aspect of the story… Kay is supposedly a strong and feisty young woman and, in many aspects, she is. There is no doubt that they are in lust with one another and the scenes of them together are red hot [have your fans/ac at the ready and set to MAX COOL]. There is plenty of drama =- especially when their families find out what’s happening between them. But will they get support or will they be pulled apart? Are their feelings strong enough to stay together or is this just a fling? I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This book is well written [if repetitive at times]. Recommended as long as you can deal with their close connection!
