Connor Dawson is the latest in the Dawson men to be ‘caught’ by a woman. The woman in question is Lydia and he meets her at a dance in Safety but he ends up getting his face slapped when he kisses her on the dance floor. Totally embarrassed and upset because he really was attracted to her. How can he get another chance with her as he doesn’t even know her name? But his little sister comes to his rescue without realising it. She persuades their dad that they need the kitchen, lounge and dining room updating and he agrees as long as Connor keeps a check on the budget. She invites a designer to help and guess who it turns out to be! Yes, that’s right – it’s Lydia and oh boy is Connor happy [but he doesn’t let on that they’ve met before]. The attraction between Lydia and Connor continues to grow and when he discovers that she really is a country girl their attraction deepens. But there is trouble on the horizon. Will they still get their HEA? This is a real page turner by Ali Parker that is so well written with delicious characters that are so likeable and realistic. This is book 6 in The Dawson Brothers Series and it just gets better with each book. You can certainly read this as a standalone but is far better read as a part of the series in order.
