Work Me Good by Ali Parker

A Second Chance After 8 Years. He’d Better Get It Right This Time. ENJOY!!!

Saige met Nash over 8 years ago when he desperately needed help with his taxes. There was never any question about their mutual attraction but there ended up a question about his faithfulness and honesty. Saige, unfortunately, realised too late when she saw the notification of his impending marriage. Eight years later he is back and this time he is more successful than ever but he’s also bought the firm that she works for and he seems to have zero people skills. The attraction is ever present but, this time, it’s Saige who is keeping one major secret from him! His name is Jace and he is an engaging, loveable 8 year old boy who looks like Nash but is struggling at school as he is being bullied for not having a father. I confess that I struggled to like Nash at the beginning of this story. He was too arrogant and seemed to be dismissive of anything that wasn’t of benefit for him. However, as you read this book Ali Parker illustrates another side to what makes Nash the apparently cold hearted businessman that he is today. But not all is as it seems. There is not doubt about the palpable passion between Saige and Nash and it is also very obvious that she is good for him. I love both of their best friends – Joss and Davin. One of my favourite sections in the story is when Nash takes Jace and Saige fishing. There were so many happy moments and seeing Nash and Jace interact was wonderful. This is one of those books that I enjoyed so much that I will be re-reading it in the future. This is a very enjoyable story that will have you absorbed from beginning to end with a great storyline, fabulous characters with hot and heavy moments so have your fan/ac at the ready! I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended!
