The Art of Ghosting by Ashley Hastings

Passion From The Past & The Present. Superb!

Alice and James were meant to be – they just didn’t realise this at first meeting. She is a travelling nurse who has a gypsy spirit who won’t let any man tie her down and James is a womaniser and thinks his life is just fine. When Alice comes to the wonderful, fictional town of Peacock [where Ashley Hastings stories are set] she meets him. When going through the deserted house of her deceased aunt, they discover a 100 year old book with a mystery that they need to solve. At times the chills tingled down my spine it is so very well written by Ashley who really grabs your attention with her must have read stories. Don’t get me wrong though – this is not a horror story. It is very much a love story with mysteries and coincidences that cannot be explained! It was fun reading how Alice made James really ‘work’to even have a date with her and she certainly lead him quite a dance. If you haven’;t read any of Ashley’s previous books then I think you will be hooked on her writing after discovering this story! Superb! Sweet Talk by Ashley Hastings

The Bucket List – ENJOY!!

This is the fourth book by Ashley Hastings and I am addicted already. I love that each of the four books could be read in isolation but also that they are connected with their fabulous and realistic characters and location. Casey has grown up loving her Great Uncle Bob who took her in when she was a tiny tot devoted his life to her. He had a fish and tackle shop which, as she grew, she helped him with. But he sadly died and now she is setting the shop up as Sweet Treats as she loves to cook and is trying to make this her employment. One early, and I mean very early, morning she accidentally gets locked out and in need of clothes whilst being ‘attacked’ by a rather large pig! What a way to start the day! To her rescue comes a very attractive man with a ‘slapper’crawling up his arm which doesn’t impress Casey. But the man, seems determined to help besides the fact that he can’t keep his eyes off of her delicious curves. Then she is rescued really by the local cop who is well acquainted with the pig. Later that day, having dumped the ‘slapper’the hunk returns but this time in the guise of her great Uncle Bob’s solicitor/lawyer. He has several letters to give her and each one is for Casey to do one of her Uncle’s bucket list wishes with the solicitor! She’s not going to mind and neither does he. But her lets her know that he only does one night stands and is NOT into relationships [he has given ‘advice’ to his ‘brother’ to even dump his girlfriend because she won’t give up her v-card to the brother!!!! Expect to get irritated by anyone stopping you from reading this book as it is compulsive reading with a terrific storyline, plenty of over the top passion, plenty of OMG romance as well as some angst and feelings of betrayal as well as hope and a HEA. I look forward to Ashley’s next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!

Ride With Me by Ashley Hastings

This is the first book by Ashley Hastings that I’ve read – but I’m looking now for her next book. This is just so well written with precisely the correct amount of detail that brings the characters to life and love! Lucy is a wonderful young woman that you just can’t help love – feisty and determined and no way will she date a cop! A pity really as Grayson, fun loving and a bad boy most certainly wants to date her and do all sorts of things that would make her blush. be prepared to laugh and enjoy the fun as these two fall in love. Great writing and it’s one of those books that I just couldn’t put down easily. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Now looking for her next book to read. Most Definitely Recommended

His Wife by Ashley Hastings

Darby is a gentle young woman who has been bullied by her mother for too long. When they agree to meet in New York for a meal, little realising that her mother has set her up with a repulsive jerk from their small home town that she considers will make a good marriage match with Darby. Overhearing the deplorable way that the jerk speaks down to Darby, her knight in shining armour, Nathan who is 20 years older than her, comes to their table making out that he had a date with Darby. With the jerk’s feather’s ruffled but Darby liking Nathan, they depart. Darby is overwhelmed by Nathan who is so much an assured alpha male who is a widower fallowing his wife drowning a year ago but no body found. Nathan is so enchanted by Darby that events take a turn that are nothing like the way she envisaged her trip to NY would or could ever be. He takes her home and there she meets the wonderful Mr Maxwell [who appears in Ashley Hastings other two books Magic Man and Ride With Me. She also meets the dreaded mother-in-law as well as making some great new friends. This is the third book that I’ve read by Ashley Hastings, having discovered her stories just a couple of months ago and I must say how impressed I have been with the storylines and the amazing characters that she has created. I must confess that I probably read these books in the ‘wrong’ order as I should have read The Wife first but it really didn’t make that much of an issue. Darby is such a lovely young woman who is so easy to like and so believable [in fact all her characters are like this – well her mother-in-law maybe not so much 😉 ] But you will find that there is an overlap of characters in these stories which I love as we get to see how they are ‘getting along’ in their Hea’s. I am definitely looking forward to reading more stories by Ashley and encourage you to try her other two books too. I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. If I could give this more than a 5 star rating I would as it is just so good. be ready for a few twists and turns that certainly surprised me! MOST DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
