Lovemaker by B. B. Hamel

   A Murder Mystery Romance

Oh what we have here is so very much more than a romance. B.B. Hamel has penned us a romance that is like a childhood crush chance of HEA, but also it’s a murder mystery with suspense and a question of why the local police won’t help! Cora who is a kindergarten teacher is standing at her brother Atticus’s funeral when she spots his best friend Wyatt who ;left town years ago to become a successful cop in Chicago where is nickname is Lovemaker as he’s such a womaniser. He left when Atticus was getting involved with the wrong crowd that dealt in drugs and petty crime. Cora is at her wits end as she wants to know who murdered him and why but the local police aren’t interested. She persuades Wyatt to help her. It helps that many years ago she had a major crush on Wyatt but was too young to do anything about it AND that Wyatt had a crush on her too that he kept a secret all these years. Their mutual attraction is re-ignited and , this time, the flames will not be quashed! B.B. has the reader enthralled with the Who Done It aspect of the story but also with their love story. Revelling in the pages as Wyatt and Cora fall in love. B.B. has delivered to us here two wonderfully believable characters in Cora and Wyatt who took us along the journey to their Happy Ever After. It’s a journey that I’m pleased to have experienced all encompassed by the suspense and mystery of who murdered her older brother. Have your fans at the ready for the passionate scenes that may well leave you hot and bothered but are so enjoyable to read.  I received an arc of this and leave my honest opinion of it here. I read this story via KU and loved every part of it. This is a must have read and one that is so good that I will be re-reading in the future.

The bonus material is not to be missed either!!!

My Brother’s Five Friends: A Reverse Harem Romance by B. B. Hamel

  Who To Choose?

6 December 2017
This is a fun and sexy read by BB Hamel. Since I ‘discovered’ BB’s books I confess that I have been addicted, mainly because they are fun and flirty with a real storyline and realistic people that I will be captivated by the characters and not want to put the book down till it’s finished. PLUS, I always re-read them as they are so good with that ‘feel good’ factor as an added bonus. Henry is a nerdy tech who has been extremely fortunate and is now a billionaire and likes to share his good fortune with his friends and family. His 9 years younger sister, Emily, is going to stay with him over the summer holidays as where she lives as a student has had to be vacated as the landlord was making meth and it’s no longer safe to live in. Henry and Emily are not especially close due to the differences in their ages but he does want to be a good brother and look out for her. He has his five best friends staying with him over the summer too and they are all staggeringly handsome with wonderful personalities to boot so he warns them that Emily is taboo for them and to leave her alone! They don’t mind this till they meet her than all bets are off. Emily can’t understand why these five gorgeous guys are all besotted with her and as the days go by they all end up having some time with her and kissing her – with her responding. Whatever will henry say and do when he finds out what is going on with the six of them? Emily has issues as she is wildly attracted to them all, who should she choose if she’s given that option? The men oops sorry I didn’t name them before are :- Aiden, Carter, Daniel, James and Ryan are all very similar but then again, when you get to know them, there are definite differences that make each one of them special and all the more difficult for Emily to choose. This is a very enjoyable book with humour and plenty of sizzling chemistry between the six of them. I would, however, have liked an epilogue, say in five years time, to see how their lives were playing out – but, you never know, we may hear about them in another book and find out. It is very well written as I expect from BB and it cleverly keeps you engrossed within the story from start to finish and wanting to read her next book asap as she’s such a good writer.
