The Truth (The Butler Ranch #5) by Heather Slade

  A Wonderful Suspenseful Drama

As you can see from the above there have been changes in the cover and the actual title of this latest story by Heather Slade.  No matter what the title or cover, it is one excellent story that will keep you absorbed in it form page one to the very last and want you needing more of her stories to read.  This is the fifth book in the Butler Ranch Series and focuses on Mercer, ex-Marine and gorgeous alpha male, and Quinn, his partner Kade’s daughter.  Kade has been apparently kidnapped and he set things up so that if anything happened to him mercer and his other buddies form the marines would look out for his ex wife and Quinn.  Mercer has been keeping watch over Quinn for years now and has started to fall in love with her.  When danger becomes apparent, will mercer come to Quinn’s rescue and what about Kade?  Proximity between these two certainly raises the temperature in the room when I was reading the story. With plenty of suspense, drama, danger and love developing make sure your fans/air con are set to max cool and that you switch off your phone and enjoy!!  Beautifully written with well developed characters and a fascinating storyline.  I’m looking forward to heather’s next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Definitely Recommended!

Win Me Over (Cowboys of Crested Butte #5) by Heather Slade

   Trust In Me

In this book 5 of the Cowboys of Crested Butte, we meet some wonderfully complex characters that will make your heart melt and sigh as we learn of the lives in the Crested Butte ranch. In particular, we learn all about Tristan McCullough and Bullet Simmons.  Tristan swore herself off bad boys after an unfortunate encounter with a bad boy that she thought was @The One’ but turned out to be more of a turkey. Bullet loves riding bulls but since his son’s mother died he doesn’t know how he can work riding bulls and being a regular dad to his little boy. When Tristan and Bullet meet she’s not sure that he can be trusted and she doesn’t want to risk her heart being broken again.  This is such a sweet romance with things from the past still influencing their futures. But there is also so much fun, passion and love that they surely can overcome any obstacles?  To find out you’re going to have to get yourself a copy of this wonderful book by Heather Slade.  I love her style of writing which is so flowing, no angst, loving people who are nice to each other with  believable characters and a plot that they truly make the most of!  Whilst this is the fifth book in the series, it can be read as a standalone but you won’t always appreciate some of the nuances in the text so readily.  I ‘discovered’ Heather’s books not so long ago and I’m enjoying catching up with all her stories as they are all so well written and captivating so that you want to read each story in one go. If you like cowboys, adventure, nice people, belivable plots and caring characters with a touch of love and humour then this is the book for you! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Stay with Me (Cowboys of Crested Butte #4) by Heather Slade

   When The Time is Right…

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is book 4 of the Cowboys of Crested Butte by Heather Slade and the very first time that I’ve read any of her stories. I can honestly say that I was really impressed with her relaxed style of writing and I loved the way she drew me into the storyline and was so wanting Jace and Bree to find their HEA together. Professional saddle bronc rider Jace Rice has not been lucky in love as the women he’s been attracted to have fallen in love with other men like his best friend, his twin brother but this time he has properly fallen in love with Bree Fox who is a widow whose husband has not been dead that long and she really hasn’t let herself grieve properly so that she can move on with her life. He would love to tell her how much he loves her, how attracted to her he is and how much admires her but she lives at Crested Butte where his twin who he is not friends with lives with his wife and the rest of Bree’s family. There is angst but really Jace is going to waste his time telling her how he feels so early as she needs her head and heart to be ready and open to love as he can’t compete with a dead man. Such a wonderful storyline and I enjoyed this so much that I will now be reading the others in the series and trying out other books BY Heather. It can be read as a standalone and enjoyed!
