Bolt [aka Bolton] goes to Lily to have his very first tattoo drawn. They both have secrets and alcoholics in their families[her younger sister and his father].  The secrets don’t all have to be kept as full secrets and these cause angst within the story that could tear these two apart.  Lily is struggling to keep her head above water after her parents were killed and she is having major issues with trying to keep Natalie’s drug, drink and thieving habits in check. Bolt is trying to keep the family business afloat whilst his father drinks away profits. He is completely enamoured with Lily and buys her clothes, a car and anything he thinks she may want but he overwhelms her and she dumps him.  But the lust, passion, sizzling chemistry between them can’t be ignored and they end up in bad having unprotected sex.  She leaves him when she realises that she is pregnant. Will Bolt go after her for a third chance at love? Will Natalie, whom I didn’t like at all, continue to make Lily’s life very difficult?  Will Bolt’s family business fail? Will his real occupation come after him via Lily?? To find out these answers and more you’ll need to get your own copy of this short, fast paced story by Kira Blakely. I did like the story and usually love Kira’s stories but this one just didn’t grab my attention as usual. maybe it needed to be longer to really ‘get into the characters’. having said that it is a unique storyline that I did like and is worth reading.  I look forward to Kira’s next book with anticipation. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Trouble by Kira Blakely

  He’s Deciding if He’s Good Enough For Her

Cain and Margot have had crushes on each other since they were in school together.  Their fathers were in business together although her dad was more of a father figure to him than his own father.  There have been plenty of ups and downs for them. Cain is a mess with his life and Margot has been treated very badly by people unworthy of even knowing her. It’s when he comes to claim his father’s half of her tattoo business that they are brought together again and this gives them a second chance of having a relationship together.  But Cain needs to get his head in the right place and they need to talk and trust each other more. There is certainly plenty of chemistry between Margot and Cain but Cain, to me, needed to make a decision and stick to it and then make sure that Margot really knew how he was feeling.  Margot, I liked very much I just wanted to shake Cain a few times.  He wasn’t as bad as he thought he was, he just needed to ‘man up’, make an informed decision and stick to it!  A very clever story by Kira Blakely who is a terrific author has woven a romantic tale here of two people who are given a second chance to find happiness with each other.  I was entertained from beginning to end in this fast paced story and I encourage you to get a copy and enjoy it too.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

All four of these wonderful short stories by Kira Blakely will sweep you away to the beautiful Island with warm tropical breezes and the air full of passion.  I really enjoyed all four stories but my favourite has to be Forbidden Daddy as the chemistry between them was so explosive and so unexpected!!! Now that is one homecoming that could cause all sorts of issues!  A very close second was Forbidden Feast with Ella and Rainier, those two tortured souls all because they refuse to spoil a working relationship if the other doesn’t feel the same.  It’s just as well that Fate helped them get their HEA.  All of these were written with such a wonderful style that is all Kira’s and that is what makes them all that more special! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Savage: A Bad Boy Fake Fiancé Romance by Kira Blakely

  Hang On To Your Seat & Buckle Up!

Savage is an all consuming, red hot romantic story by Kira Blakely that will keep you glued to the book from first to last page.  Olivia, our heroine in the story, is guardian to her late brother and his wife’s little girl called Penny. Beck was his best friend but he’d promised to not try it on with Olivia to her brother. They’ve both been in love with each other for years but done nothing about it so they’re both frustrated and wishing things could only be different.  Beck doesn’t have the best of reputations but when Olivia’s uncle and aunt try to gain custody of Penny she calls on beck for help. And Beck has the perfect solution so that Olivia can keep Penny and he will clean up his reputation as well AND, if he’s lucky enough, try to persuade Olivia to give him a chance at love.  Kira has created a great plot with such endearing and sexy characters.  Penny will make you love her as well as beck and you’ll feel involved in their story.  Expect lots of sizzling passion, humour, and wonderful writing that keeps you invested in the story.  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Eli owns a bar in town that he has worked so hard to make a success. he had a dreadful childhood once his Mum married JP who was abusive and kicked him out the house when he was 15 years old. Eli also suspects that JP murdered his Mum.   There seems to be  a crime wave happening in the town and he suspects JP.  But when he discovers that he has a step-sister and that JP’s daughter runs a bookshop very close to his business he makes it his business to meet her and when they meet the heat and lust between them cannot be denied.  But does Eli and Nina have a chance of a relationship between them bearing in mind that she doesn’t know anything about JP’s criminal dealings? There is an instant attraction between the two of them and it only takes so long before the chemistry between them spontaneously combusts in one fantastic night of lust, passion and mind blowing sex like they’ve never known before and it’s not just a one night stand. This is a fantastic story by Kira Blakely that is very different from most of the books that I have been reading lately and so it’s rather refreshing.  In this storyline, there is drama, fear, attempted murder, thugs, a beautiful and feisty young woman who falls passionately in love with our handsome hero . Kira has created these two terrific characters for us to enjoy as we get to know them. As the story progressed, I immediately liked Eli as he has had so many hurdles to overcome to be where he is now and that shows determination, courage and a profound sense of self worth.  He is exactly what she needs and vice versa. They both need a loving partner who will love them passionately, always support them and when their lives are in danger they are there for each other. How is JP  going to react when he finds out that Nina is in a relationship with his enemy? What will he do to Eli for making enquiries about him and his business?  Will Eli be able to protect Nina? Do they have a chance at a HEA or will death part them forever?  To find out you need to get a copy of this book and the prequel too so that you can enjoy the suspense and hot and steamy romance between Nina and Eli.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. What is a young woman to do when she has high aspirations for herself but lacks the money? Well Dani wants to become a commercial pilot and has no way of getting that money unless she gets a job with a very generous salary. In fact, she is lucky and gets herself a job as nanny to Holden’s little girl. Holden is a multi billionaire and is newly divorced so whilst he is incredibly attracted to Dani he knows that he can’t do anything about it as his girl loves Dani and he doesn’t want to upset her security with Dani there. But Holden has an identical twin brother, Joey who is younger than Holden and is a playboy to Holden’s hard working business man persona. Joey decides to set Holden and Dani up but sending them both tickets for a short break at the island of Mystique. There everyone must wear a mask and so no one knows who anyone is. This way Holden can get Dani out of his system. But Joey is there too on the island. Holden and Dani know exactly who the other is as they would know each other anywhere as they’ve spent so much time watching each other and , oh boy, do they indulge themselves with each other. But once Joey has seen Dani he wants her for himself and lets her think that he is Holden. At the end both twins are in love with her and Dani cannot choose between them! Holden and Joey come to blows and Dani doesn’t know what to do! Kira Blakely has really given us a delightful suspenseful romance here that is part 4 of a series. It can be read as a standalone or as part of the series but it will make you want to purchase the rest of the series if you haven’t already. This is a fabulous read that is a MUST HAVE. With passion and lust turning to love but what a choice for Dani. How can she choose between the brothers? In fact, does she even want to choose between them? To find out this and more you need to get yourself a copy and indulge in Kira’s fantasies. So very well written as I expect from all her books. She conjures up for us such wonderful stories and fabulous characters that have sizzling chemistry between them, that make you feel invested in their storyline. A great entertaining read.

Delivering Her Secret by Kira Blakely

  Bedside Manners Have Never Been So Good!

Oh this is so good by Kira Blakely! She has written for us a real treat with Charlie, Charlotte, and Houston’s love story. She is a kindergarten teacher and some of the children’s mothers are really very snobby when they really have no reason to be. Houston only filling in for the usual doctor in this small town and when he meets Charlie he is in instant lust with her. She’s so stunningly gorgeous with curves in all the right places for him and she looks so sweet and innocent but he wants to change that! Houston can’t stop thinking about her and, on his last night in town before moving to another post, he sees her in a bar[she’s there with her aunt trying to cheer herself up with the way some of the snobby parents treat her] and he approaches her and he eventually persuades her to come back to his motel room where any resemblance to innocence in Charlie is eradicated by Houston during the night of red hot passion that they share. But the night was so good that he slept in and missed the only flight out for the next week. So Houston decides to make the most of his time waiting for the next flight by being with Charlie as much as he can. Kira is so great at writing the wonderful characters that she pens for us. Houston and Charlie are perfect for each other and the passionate scenes between them will be hot enough to make a reader’s panties melt so have your fans at the ready as when these two get together it is STEAM HEAT. But let’s also remember that they are young and having fun together as they get to know each other. But time flies when you don’t want it to and a week goes by in a flash – not nearly enough time for them to have together. But Houston must leave for his work. However, he does leave something that means that he will be back to see Charlie! No spoilers from me, but I will say it’s just as well he returns as we need HEA’s! I loved this book and think it is probably my favourite by Kira. A great read that I enjoyed very much and hope that you will too. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

Surprise Package: A Bad Boy Christmas Romance by Kira Blakely

 

Another book by Kira Blakely? Got to be a winner as all her other books that I’ve read have been. And, YES, it is. This is a fun packed story about a young woman, Blair, who seems to have everything – family, wealth, health but she has a difficult mother who does not want her to go to art college. In fact nothing seems to please Regine. An easy fix for Christmas would be for Blair to have a fiancée that would take the heat of her mother’s nagging. So Blair walks into a strip club looking to hire an escort to play her fiancée for the holidays. Now Samson, the alpha handsome wealthy owner of the club and other businesses sees her and she is just not what he is used to. But he wants to find out about her and offers to help her on one condition. But you’re going to have to buy the book to find out what it is and how the holiday season plays out for them. The chemistry between them practically sizzles and sending sparks between them and it just gets hotter as the story plays out. Both Blair and Samson are going to find that what they started is going to end up way more than they first anticipated. It’s a joy to read, with humour, innuendo, lots of delicious flirting with hot and heavy scenes that you won’t want to miss as this is a MUST READ.
