This is the second book of the trilogy in the suspenseful series Hangman by WL Knightly [who is really the best selling author team Ali Parker and Lexy Timms]. We were introduced to detective
Detective Jake Thomas who is retiring and this is his last case and he hopes it’s one that won’t test his sanity as the Hangman is one determined murderer with a focus. Jake is trying to train his replacement Detective Jo Calloway. The chemistry between these two is off the charts and makes for some fabulous reading. I was hooked with book 1 [just like I was with the Zodiac Killers series] and I can’t wait for book 3. Can these two piece together the clues to save the Chief and stop the Hangman? A great action packed storyline with sensational characters, a deeply disturbing character in the form of the Hangman. I love mysteries and this is one that will be solved but how many more need to die before the Hangman is stopped forever? A superb story that has me on the edge of my seat waiting for book 3!! This is an exceptional series, the Zodiac Killers, by Ali Parker and Lexy Timms who write together as W.L. Knightly. Now confession time here, I hate series. I avoid them. BUT, when I saw who the authors were I was prepared to give Capricorn a chance way back in the beginning of the year and I was hooked! As months passed by I was getting deeper in the complexities of who was murdering these men and why?? I love solving puzzles and reading mysteries [Agatha Christie got me hooked as a young 10 year old fascinated by her stories and so I enjoyed these monthly episodes and looked forward to them with relish. Derak and Lizzy are the main leads in this series trying to solve this who series of murders. Now Derak is keeping secrets from Lizzy as he knows all the men involved and is working with bay to keep secrets that could destroy both their lives. The detailed ways that they were all murdered were all different and these differences held clues about them that could help you piece together what is going on. Now I have to be honest and tell you that just reading this book alone will not be anywhere near as satisfying as if you had read the whole series, as I did, in the correct sequence. Ali and Lexy are fabulous authors who together, are amazing the way they create these gruesome, deviant and fantastic characters that the reader will meet along the way. The storylines follow through with such detail that are all important and should not be dismissed if you want to solve who is behind it all as I most certainly did. I was certainly shocked at some of the deaths and felt so sad at the ways their bodies had been mutilated but they all held a message that could be used to solve who was behind it all. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. I am now fully prepared and willing to read any series that these two writes compose for us as I was delighted with the tension, storyline and conclusion. Just as amazing series that I most definitely recommend . A Must Have Read!

  The Zodiac Killer Is Closing In…

And so the mystery, the tension, the puzzle that has kept me riveted to these books for eleven months continues.  Detectives, Derak and Lizzy are still here but the Zodiac killer is  gaining on Derak as he knows that the Killer is after him very soon.  Lane who is the Libra member of the Zoiac Killer’s list has been sickened by the deaths with Lizzy and Derak and movers and starts his successful restaurant. He’s in New York for a fashion event when things start stepping up a pace.  I was really pleased that I (a) wasn’t alone in my home when reading this and (b) that I read it in daylight!  Oh boy things get excessively dark and things I didn’t expect to happen in my wildest dreams did.  It is obvious that the Zodiac Killer is determined and thorough and is now killing more than those on his/her list.  Do I really think that I know who he/she is?? No!  I wish I did as it is now driving me mad – hence why I don’t watch serials on tv and tend to avoid them in books.  But these books are by two of my favourite authors ALi Parker and Lexy Timms and I knew that the pain of having to wait would be well worth it and, so far, they have exceeded my expectations and beyond!”  I now NEED to know who it is and why! I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended – I’m looking forward to book 12 in the series!!!!!!
