The Alpha’s Assistant & The Dom Next Door: A Billionaire Romance Collection by Michelle Love, Eliza Duke

   A Great Collection!

This is two stories co-authored by Michelle Love and Eliza Duke. They are both short, fast paced reads that kept me entertained from first to last page.

The Assistant –  This is set in Chicago and billionaire Brock sees Erica and is determined to have her.  Well written and a familiar storyline.  Erica seems a good feisty young woman but Brock, at the beginning, is just too arrogant for me to like although by the end of the story I did like him.  They were both well matched and it’s a nice short story.  A good short story.

The Dom Next Door –  In this story we meet Emmeline and Carl who is her next door neighbour and a single dad to a baby daughter.  Emmeline’s parents are murdered in a car bombing and no one knows why. The police have no clues and she is having a really tough time coping especially as she witnessed their deaths and she is suffering from PTDS, and her sister hates her.  Emmeline had been in training as a novice but once this happens she is really struggling and she needs to refocus her life and aims.  Emmeline and Carl have been watching each other from a distance, but when he hears her screaming for her life, he rushes in and saves her from her insane sister and offers her a home with him and his daughter, Jenny.  I loved this story as the storyline is so good and very captivating with a mystery to solve and Emmeline.  Carl and she make such a great couple and there is plenty of sparkle between them. The initial attraction slowly becomes so very much more and it was wonderful to ‘see’ their love growing.  Can they solve why her parents were murdered? What will happen to her mad sister?  Do Carl and Emmeline stand a chance at a real long term relationship or will she return to her novice training??  This was such a great and unique storyline that I actually wish that Michelle Love & Eliza Duke had made it into a full length novel as the characters were strong and well developed and I love their styles of writing which compliment each other so well. Amazing Story

As you can probably tell, I really loved reading The Dom Next Door  the better of the two as there was so much depth and originality to the story and I was fully focused on their lives. It most certainly is a must have read and one that I couldn’t put down until I had reached the end of the story. This story really illustrated Michelle and Eliza’s strengths as terrific authors and why I am looking forward to more of their co-authoring!

Under Her Skin by Michelle Love

  Turo’s Second Chance at Love

Hero has had a tragic life so far.  She married her college best friend, Tom, and they married and had a beautiful daughter called Beth. One journey changed their lives forever, when  drunken driver drove into them killing beth instantly and leaving Tom in a coma for a brief time and hero in a coma for three months to wake up to be told that her beloved husband and daughter were both dead. Her adopted sister, Imelda whom I didn’t like very much at the beginning, tells her after two years to get up, get out and do something!  So Hero takes her to her word and travels to Italy where she was born. She doesn’t have to worry about money and she sees an apartment that she wishes to buy and goes to the auction and wins the bid.  Also bidding was Arturo Bacchi has purchased all the other rooms in that building but that one and is furious when he loses that bid.  He also noticed Hero and thought she looked the most beautiful woman that he’d ever seen and she looked remarkably like his murdered girlfriend, Flavia, but no one was ever found guilty of the murder. When he and Hero start a relationship after their almost instant lust/love at first site at the auction, the murderer makes his feelings known and sends messages to hero saying she has limited time left.  This is an amazing story by Michelle Love that I really enjoyed from the beginning right to the end.  My attention was captured straight away as I felt as if I almost ‘knew’ Hero  and when she met the delicious Arturo [Turo] it seemed as if her life was taking a turn for the better but she hadn’t revealed to him that she had bout the apartment yet. There is so much going on in this tremendous story with some real evil villains and I learned to love Melly [aka Imelda], Hero and Turo. Just amazing descriptions and plot  that with Michelle’s persuasive writing it was almost as if I was watching a film of this all happening in front of me.  This is a MUST HAVE READ and you will not want to put the book down – I certainly didn’t and do not regret the lack of sleep that night.  There was no cheating and we ‘listened’ to both their POV so it was much more insightful as to what was going on. My favourite story yet by Michelle.  WARNING: have your fans set to MAX cool as it’s going to get RED HOT!!

This is the three book series of Nightclub Sins by Michelle Love.  All are fabulous red hot steamy stories that are a must have read.  They can be read as standalones or as a whole series together.

The Forbidden Sitter

This is about the wonderful connection between Gannon and Brooke.   Gannon is a billionaire playboy and Brooke’s brother’s best friend. When he hears that Gannon needs a babysitter for his newly discovered little son, he suggests Brooke but Gannon must keep his hands to himself. yes sure – like that’s going to happen!  This is a wonderful story by Michelle Love and one that you won’t want to miss. With red hot steamy chemistry that is off the charts, these two very attractive people are going to raise the temperature whenever they’re together. To find out if they have a HEA you’re going to need to get a copy of this book.

Whilst this does start with a newbi visiting a BDSM Club and the hero, Nic, a visiting DOm to the club and area, most of the story does not revolve around the BDSM lifestyle. SO if that lifestyle does not appeal to you, do not worry as after chapter 4 it isn’t really an issue. Katana is a designer of book covers and is way too busy to have a relationship. Several years ago she did try BDSM but the dom that she experimented with got over zealous and brutally broke her arm. She goes to a Halloween BDSN party where everyone wears masks. Nixon or Nic who is visiting the area and he is a Dom but he never ‘plays’ at home – only whilst away. He immediately spots Katana and makes a beeline for her. They enjoy their ‘play’ and he invites her back to his hotel room! What woman would do that these days?? Thank heavens this is just a story! Anyway, they keep on their masks to add that extra mystery to their night of passion. The next morning her gives her his business card and tells her to call him and then sends her home in his limo. The problem is that she doesn’t feel as if she should call him even though she really wants to see him again and is waiting for him to call her. However, Nic can’t get her out of his mind but he wonders why she never calls as he can’t call her as he doesn’t have her number! But don’t worry Fate lends them a hand and their love story is revealed to us. It is very sweet and with no ‘villains’ in the story this is just a wonderful read of their HEA. Michelle Love has penned a wonderful treat for us here and I will certainly be buying myself a copy!

Tawny and August, despite the four year age gap between them had played together as next door neighbours. On the night before he joins up to the Marines, he goes outside in his back garden where Tawny just happens to be moon watching in hers.  She’s now 18 years old to his 22 years. They kiss then passion overcomes them. The next time they see each other is years later in San Diego when he is with his nephew, Gino, and  a woman accidentally touches him when she walks past him that sends a tingling up his arm that reminds him of his reaction to Tawny! But it can’t be her, can it? The woman shouts a boy’s name and a little boy about 6 years old turns and runs to her shouting ‘Momma!’  He looks like a miniature August!  This second chance at romance story is exceptional and is, most definitely, my favourite story by Michelle Love. There are so many profound issues that effect the people in it. August is suffering from PTSD after a traumatic accident occurred in which his friend died.  August doesn’t think that Tawny could cope with his issues however much he wants to be with her and Callum.  Tawny does have a secret that she doesn’t know if she should confide in August and it is eating away at her conscience but when Callum’s life is put in jeopardy she has to make a decision.  Michelle has created such wonderful characters in August who is so troubled and wants to do whatever he can to help people and forgive himself. Tawny is wracked with guilt over a lie and her secret.  August’s sister is a fabulous character and she gives such great advice and support to August. I loved the way he went into automatic ‘hero’ take charge mode when Callum needed help.T he fact that we could ‘hear’ both their POV also made this so much more intimate and added greater depth as we got to understand why they reacted in certain ways.  The sensitive issues she covers in the story are pertinent, realistic and , sadly, effect way too many people in life.  They need to be addressed in such a way that they are addressed and not ‘brushed under the carpet’However, as I love all her stories I purchased my own copy so that I would have the extra bonus materials to read too and support a terrific author.DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!

  Two Unmissable Stories

Hacked For Love – Drake is a multi billionaire who has it all. Until one day, he finds that someone has stolen some of his money!!  How dare they!  Now Robin Locke is an orphan and lives in a slum – but she is a brilliant hacker and steals bitcoin electronically from the rich to donate to people who can’t pay medical bills and desperate loans they have taken out to survive!  What she doesn’t realise is that the latest three hits of wealthy men include two high Mafia and they are furious!!!  Oh heck what has Robin done this time!  How is she going to get out of this mess??   When he finds Robin he is also at risk of losing his heart to this feisty and curvy young woman. These two troubled and lonely souls seem to see in each other a part of themselves that they never knew was missing. They need each other to be whole.  I loved that it alternated ‘hearing’ their POV which helped meas the reader understand where they came from and they desires.  A fantastic story with superb characters that are fascinating and well developed. It captured my imagination right at the beginning and kept me engrossed in the story right to the end!  Brilliant!!

The Dom’s Songbird – Gwen Love is a waitress at one of Donovan Fox’s hotels. She is a very talented singer/songwriter which she really wants to become professionally but with little likelihood of it happening.  But when Donovan meets Gwen the sizzling heat in the air between them is potent.  This attraction that Donovan has for her means that he doesn’t see any other woman as she has bedazzled him with her beauty and he is mitten big time. But Gwen finds it so difficult to believe that a handsome, wealthy playboy such as he could ever really want her.  This beautiful story is how they get to know one another and he does everything he can to help her reach for her dream. They are so well written and perfectly matched. The storyline is great for this novella and the characters so well developed that they are so easy to love- especially Donovan 😉

Dirty News (Dirty Network Book 1) by Michelle Love

  Their Love Is Taboo

Lila is a young journalism graduate and gets her job as the night newscaster at the tv station WOLF. The nightime sportscaster is Duke, retired linebacker for the NY Jets, and the air practically sizzles whenever they are near to one another.  But there is a strict no fraternisation policy at work. But how can Duke deny his love for Lila??  This is such a fun read by Michelle Love that I’m actually going to say that it is a MUST HAVE READ.  Michelle has created two wonderful characters in Lila and Duke – she is smart and feisty whilst he is an alpha male through and through but he is also a man in love!  This is a fast paced read that I was so drawn to the storyline that I felt as if I was seeing the story right before my eyes.  Their banter is witty and very flirty which was adorable to read and I loved that we ‘heard’ both their POV so it was so much more intimate and I felt more engaged with the story. Will they give each other up as they want their dream jobs or will they resign from their jobs for LOVE?? Or will the rules be relaxed?? To find out you’re going to need to get a copy for yourself and I hope that you enjoy the story as much as I did!  I received a free copy of this book and leave this review of my honest opinion here.

He’s absolutely gorgeous looking and so polite with his sexy British accent.  He seems to be mesmerised by her too and his eyes follow her around all night. She actually starts thinking that life may not actually be that bad. But later on in the evening she notices that he’s gone. When his buddies settle their bill his friend writes on the bill Weston’s phone number saying that he was sorry he had to go but would love to see her and please phone him. She doesn’t realise that Weston is very wealthy because if she did, then there would be no way that she would phone him as her father is very wealthy but he just upped and left her and her mum years ago and they haven’t heard from him since.  Their fist date he picks her up in his VW Beetle that he rebuilt himself and she is enchanted by that and they have a wonderful date with the air sizzling between them. The next date does not start off well as he is all dressed up in a very expensive business suit and driving an expensive sports car that would cost more than her apartment many times over.   How can he persuade her to get to know him better if she won’t even answer his texts or messages??  But Weston is made of sterner stuff and will not give up on making her his own.  Enjoy reading their romantic love story.

No Promises: A Bad Boy Billionaire Romance by Michelle Love

  Unexpected Love

Noosh is a British journalist and is the subject of an obsessive US senator who is determined to kill her.  She moves to New York and is hiding from him. She uses burner phones for keeping in contact with her family. She is researching a story on BDSM and thinks the best way is to go to a club.  Sitting at the bar she meets Christos, son a Mafia Don who has disowned him as he isn’t interested in being  apart of the Firm and is following his own path. He walks up to her, the worse the wear from drink, and propositions her.  It works as she is very attracted to him and they go to a private room together.  A beyond imagination passion filled night happens and both are left wanting more.  But her life is in danger and does she really want a relationship with Christos? Is he really serious about her for the long term?  There is so much incredible amount of detail to this story that just by a single word change could change the tone and intensity of the characters and story. THAT, is what makes Michelle Love such a fantastic story teller.  The way she creates the tension between the two protagonists is superb and as the story progresses their connection, which vies between sizzling and then combustible, develops into something so much more profound. There is lots of steam heat between these two and it just increases as they become closer.  With certain aspects that could trigger flashbacks regarding physical abuse/rape it is only suited for a mature audience of 18+.

A brilliant read that is suspenseful, passionate, profound and very loving.  It kept me gripped in the story from first to last page. A real must have read that is so good that I know that I will be re-reading it in the future. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.

   A Must have Bundle Of Stories

This wonderful collection of stories by Michelle Love also includes my very first set of books that got me hooked on her writing in Evergreen!  There is something for everyone in these fabulous stories. So hand on to your seat, buckle up and enjoy the ride!!

The Doctor’s Magic Hands –  What’s different about this story is that the male is the virgin at the beginning of the story but he is absolutely gorgeous and that status is not because women aren’t interested in him, nut because he was just so busy being focussed on his work. But when he meets his patient’s beautiful feisty daughter who is a work-a-holic solicitor that changes everything!

The Nanny’s Gentleman – Bernard is a billionaire businessman who is still grieving at the loss of his wife and is struggling to bring up their young son, Toby. So he decides to move to Chicago from England to see if they can bond and have a much better quality of life. After a succession of nannies that Toby dislikes intensely, he hires a live in nanny called Scarlett and this is where the magic begins!  A very sweet and emotional story.

Dangerous Waters –  Where is my wife?  What was in that glass of wine? Suspense that you won’t be able to put down!

Doctor’s Demands – Petra is in love with her doctor and he loves her but he can’t risk his job for what ‘might be’.  But there is more to her persistence!

Evergreen – This is the set of stories that started me loving Michelle Love’s stories and I have been a fan ever since! But, if you haven’t got this yet, you need to get yourself a copy as I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed!

His Beautiful Revenge – This is a hot and steamy romance between Norah and her billionaire boss, Giacomo.  He makes no secret of his desire for her but she resists – at least at first! Have your fans at the ready when reading this story.

I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. However, I bought my own copy as I knew that I would be re-reading these stories. My favourite? Possibly The Nanny’s Gentleman or Evergreen.

   A Must Have Collection Of  Suspensful Stories That Are All Linked!

I bought this is March, 2017 and thought I’d save it to read for my summer holiday. Well I did save it for then and absolutely LOVED it. This is the set of stories that started me loving Michelle Love’s stories and I have been a fan ever since! Just forgot to review it! But, if you haven’t got this yet, you need to get yourself a copy as I’m sure that you won’t be disappointed!  Just make sure that all your doors and windows are locked! Plus have your fans at the ready to switch to maximum when reading the steamy and passionate scenes.
