Masked Indulgence: A Billionaire Holiday Romance (Nightclub Sins Book 2) by Michelle Love

  A Beautiful Love Story!

Whilst this does start with a newbi visiting a BDSM Club and the hero, Nic, a visiting DOm to the club and area, most of the story does not revolve around the BDSM lifestyle. SO if that lifestyle does not appeal to you, do not worry as after chapter 4 it isn’t really an issue. Katana is a designer of book covers and is way too busy to have a relationship. Several years ago she did try BDSM but the dom that she experimented with got over zealous and brutally broke her arm. She goes to a Hallowean BDSN party where everyone wears masks. Nixon or Nic who is visiting the area and he is a Dom but he never ‘plays’ at home – only whilst away. He immediately spots Katana and makes a beeline for her. They enjoy their ‘play’ and he invites her back to his hotel room! What woman would do that these days?? Thank heavens this is just a story! Anyway, they keep on their masks to add that extra mystery to their night of passion. The next morning her gives her his business card and tells her to call him and then sends her home in his limo. The problem is that she doesn’t feel as if she should call him even though she really wants to see him again and is waiting for him to call her. However, Nic can’t get her out of his mind but he wonders why she never calls as he can’t call her as he doesn’t have her number! But don’t worry Fate lends them a hand and their love story is revealed to us. It is very sweet and with no ‘villains’ in the story this is just a wonderful read of their HEA. Michelle Love has penned a wonderful treat for us here and I will certainly be buying myself a copy!

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.

The Naughty One: A Doctor’s Christmas Romance (Season of Desire Book 2) by Michelle Love

   Doctor’s Orders

Michelle Love writes with a passion and finely tuned literary skills such that her words flow across the pages drawing you into the story and I always feel as if I’m ‘a part’ of the story unfolding before my eyes. Before I go any further with my review I feel that I should warn you that this is the darkest story that I’ve read by Michelle as it is not just a wonderful romance [and it is ] but also a murder suspense a story that will have you sitting on the edge of your seat worrying what is going to happen next and whether the two psycho’s will be caught! I am so very pleasantly surprised that this dip into a very different genre has worked exceedingly well and this is one story that is a must for this season. Dr Romy Sasse [her twin brother had been named Remus and her name had been Romulus after the twins brought up by a wolf in mythology] is a very talented second year surgical resident who has moved from the east coast to the west coast by her family after a very painful divorce and she is now basically in hiding from her vicious ex. Her boss is Dr Blue Allende who is like a Greek god and has a wonderful personality to match and he and Romy are both instantly attracted to one another. His father has just got engaged to Romy’s mum so they are going to be step siblings too! But Blue and Romy both want to know if they could be so very much more to one another! As their love affair progresses they hear in the news and have to treat patients who have been murdered or attacked by a ‘mad man’ that is terrorising the city. The murders are similar to ones that occurred in New York but are now closing in on them. The people attacked are all young women and their initials are R, O, M and Y. When this is realised and Romy is brutally attacked Blue knows that he could not bear life without her and he will do all that he can to protect her. This is where the story really begins with suspense and suspicion. It is a truly gripping story that I really couldn’t put down and had to finish it well into the’ wee small hours’ of the night. So cleverly presented to us with snippets of clues throughout the story that make it one heck of a fabulous read that I think is Michelle’s best yet. I do love reading mysteries and suspense and this would certainly fit in with the best of them. Don’t get me wrong there is plenty of passion and steam, sizzling heat between Blue and Romy that will make you switch on your fans or air con and it is definitely worth it. An excellent story that has passion, true romance, death, anxiety, fear and hope

A copy of this is being given to me by Santa if I’m good 😉

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED.
