| Samantha and her mum suffered abuse at the hands of her father and it has left Sam very vulnerable near men so she avoids them at all costs and tends to behave like a brat around men. She hasn’t even had a boyfriend. Then her mum remarries to a nice man with two twin sons, Liam and Aiden who are a bit older than Sam. They are handsome, hunky, charming and everything a woman could want in a boyfriend but they are also opposites of each other. One being calm and the other more reactive. They are also show jumping experts and when Sam incurs difficulties with her mare she goes to her step brothers for assistance whilst their parents are on honeymoon. This will mean that she is looked after and the step siblings can get to know each other. Their first impression of Sam was that she was a brat but they come to understand why she behaves that way. They are very attracted to her and she thinks they are gorgeous, but this is so taboo! Whatever will their parents say? Or do they even have to find out? It’s not like they are going to have a long term relationship is it? The best laid plans often go amiss and I was pleased that SC Daiko didn’t let the story seemed rushed nor too slow. Issues had to be dealt with but in a realistic and sensible manner. The writing flowed nicely and the dynamics of the three step siblings developed in such a way that I almost “felt” the changes with them. Now whilst I’m not going to give any spoilers, I must let you know that there are some beautifully written steamy scenes that will raise your blood pressure and may overheat your Kindle – so please be careful ;). I really enjoyed this story and look forward to reading more books by SC Daiko.
