Winter Heiress (Reverse harem (Daughter of Winter) #2) by Skye MacKinnon

  Customs of Court Etiquette

This is the third book that I’ve read by Sky MacKinnon and I’m becoming a real fan of her writing.  She has such a clever way of drawing you into her ‘world’ and keeping you entertained right to the end.  I do have one confession – I HATE serials and this ends on a cliffhanger so I’m now waiting very impatiently for book 3 of this series.  This is a fabulous series and I didn’t think it could get any better than book 1 but she did it.  A fantastic read that I really encourage you to get – obviously get book 1 first!!. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Polar Destiny (The Drowning #1) by Skye MacKinnon

  Polar Bear Shifter Reverse Harem!!!!!

“I’ve got a polar bear in my bed. Didn’t think I’d ever get to say that. A very warm, soft, cosy polar bear.”

Well I chose to read this because I love reading anything about bears.  Bear Shifters are intriguing and so, it was if it had been written for me personally as it was also set in Scotland which I love so much.  Skye Mackinnon is a very talented author with a powerful vocabulary that she uses to enhance her writing. Isla is to be married off by her vile uncle [who does he think he is for heavens sake??] to an equally unpleasant man. But Isla is a feisty young woman who refuses to be manipulated and so she escapes and is found by four hulking strong men who are absolutely gorgeous and seem to be rather keen on her too – which is even better!  They also don’t seem to like wearing clothes much? But Isla isn’t going to complain, now is she?  This is my first book by Sky McKinnon and I’m really impressed with the way she uses language to bring to life her fantastic characters.  I’m ordering book 2 and hope it’s published soon! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
