The Kiss Of All Kisses!
This is the third book in the Chemistry Lessons by Susannah Nix and I have loved each and every one of them. This book, like the others, features a strong, intelligent, feisty young woman and in this book she is called Penny. She is a larger young lady and has had a string of rotten boyfriends who all turned out to be cheaters so she is having a rest from them. She is a chemical engineer and works from home for the US Patent office as an examiner. But she makes herself go out every day to meet people, but each day includes going to the local coffee shop where there is one very fine barista called Caleb who is gorgeous but he seems disinterested in her no matter how she tries to talk to him. What I found really great was that we met again characters from the previous two books [but don’t worry as this can still be easily read as a standalone although I would recommend and encourage you to read the other two as well as they are fantastic too]. One day a gentleman called George collapses and Caleb comes to the rescue and keeps him safe and alive till the paramedics arrive. Penny goes with George to the hospital till his son can arrive and as she is leaving she notices Caleb disappearing and she follows him. This is where he finally kisses her and O.M.Gosh!! What a kiss!! A Kiss of all KISSES. This is where their relationship changes for the better. The book is not just about Penny but involves Caleb’s family and their issues as well as the ‘regulars’. So very well written by Susannah and I am especially impressed with the way in which she inserts correct science within her stories as, so often, writers put in supposed science and it often isn’t accurate, but Susannah knows her science and it is most definitely correct. Great character development and the heat between Caleb and Penny is explosive and needs to be able to be developed further. I look forward to her next book , in the meantime, I will be re-reading her first three stories and enjoying them again. I most assuredly encourage you to buy your own copy of this amazing story. I received a free reader’s copy of this story and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here
