   He’s Been Waiting For Her

Miranda Bailey writes about bear shifters with believability and plenty of red hot sizzling scenes.  In this book we meet fell who is trying to keep away from love and the human race when he finds Sasha on his doorstep badly injured. When she wakes up she has no idea how she got there nor how she got injured.  Fell really doesn’t want to have a female in his home as he has a major secret and hasn’t got any time for relationships.  But when he meets her, he realises that fate has played a trick on him as she is his mate.. His bear is ecstatic as he never thought he’d find her. But he must discover who did this to her and make sure that she is safe for the rest of her life.  There is some violence in this book so please be aware of that before buying this book if you don’t like reading that sort of thing.  There is sizzling chemistry between Fell and Sasha that provides plenty of heat so be ready to switch on your fans/air con to max cool and enjoy the story.  This is a fun and entertaining read and I loved the way Sasha and Fell interacted and the ending was ‘just right’ for me.  I am a fan of this genre of books and Miranda’s stories and I look forward to her next book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Alpha’s Second Chance by Meg Ripley

  A Second Chance With Her Bear Shifter

Owen left Addie, his mate, because she didn’t realise that he was a bear shifter and he knows that he can’t keep it from her so he foregoes what his heart wants and leaves her.  He has a job as Head Ranger and life goes on. But Addie has now finished college and is in the area with some of her friends celebrating.  But secrets generally do get revealed and Addie finds out his secret when the croc shifters start a turf war as they want ALL of the park!  Will Addie turn away from Owen as she really only wants to be with him?  With such danger does Owen declare his feelings and beg her to stay with him??  I loved the interactions between these two young people.  So perfect for each other and true love will win out!  Meg Ripley has that rare talent of making her characters come alive so that I feel as if I almost ‘know’ them.  This is such a well written story that flows so smoothly and is so much better than watching a film.  This is a must have read and one that I had trouble putting down when my ‘real life’ prevented me from reading!. The Apex Shifter Complete Set: Books 1 – 3 by Emilia Hartley

A Must Have Series
if you are new to paranormal stories and shifters, in particular, then I believe that this is the series that will sway your mind.  I confess that I love reading about bears so these were winners before I’d even read them but they certainly lived up to and exceeded my expectations.

Whose After Thorn’s Territory?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  We are introduced to Thorn, a Kodiak alpha bear shifter who is the largest shifter in Ripple, Oregon. Now he’s a peace loving bear who is only interested in fighting and having fun with the ladies!  Felicity is a property developer form out of town and she is here in Ripple to see if there is the potential for building a shopping mall, high rise buildings and changing the nature of the whole town.  It’s in Sally’s bar [she has been after Thorn for ever so long but he never notices her], that Thorn notices when Felicity walks into the bar. In fact everyone notices her as she is so out of place.  When she walks back out three creeps follow her so Thorn follows them as he knows that they’re up to no good.  There he finds that they have tried to ambush her so Thorn goes to the rescue and by the time the creeps are running away she has got in her car and sped away, but he paused as he was so surprised that she had been so calm!  A puzzle! She returns to see Sally and threatens her into selling her bar as Felicity is determined to get rich with this scheme of hers.  But things start happening like Thorns property being damaged. Who would dare threaten the biggest alpha around??  Is someone after his territory?   Will felicity tell him that she is a mountain lion shifter? Secrets are revealed from the past that are effecting today.  As they get to know one another better their attraction and lust increases are they mates? Will they get their HEA? Will Thorn discover who is behind the ‘pranks’?  For you to find out you need to read this latest book by Emilia Hartley.  I really like reading paranormal stories, especially bear shifters an so I knew that I was going to like the hero.  I have read all of Emilia’s stories that have been published in ebook form in the UK and I do like her easy flowing writing style with great storylines and interesting characters and , of course, the HEAs.

His ex who is Thom’s mate, Felicity, asks him for help when Sally, a young bar tender, is accused of attempting to murder Thom but she knows that Sally didn’t do it.  Sally, meanwhile, has not had it easy lately as she has been turned into a were-bear by a mad raging were-bear gone crazy and she has not made peace with her bear yet. Thom has been helping her get to understand her bear but she knows her attraction for him is fruitless as he is already mated to Felicity.  Sally’s ‘sire’ is causing havoc with her free will and could put Thom ‘s life in danger. As Oliver and her spend more time together, however, their attraction grows rapidly and it cannot be ignored.  It goes against his cat ‘genes’ to be in a monogamous relationship but the desire to do that increases with every moment spent with Sally Can he save her and ensure that Thom in safe too?  Can he prove to her that he only wants her and forever??I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Book 3 – The Grizzly’s Vendetta

This is the perfect ‘ending’ for this wonderful series and is even better than the first two that I loved.  Whilst I read this one at a time and it was perfectly fine for me to do so, it was so much better reading one straight after the other as I really felt almost a part of the community that I had come to know so well.

This series is Emilia Hartley at her best and I strongly encourage you to try7 this series if you haven’t read any shifter/paranormal stories like this before as I am confident that these could get you addicted to them like so many of us.

Cohen (The Outcast Bears Book 3) by Emilia Hartley

   She Saw Him In The Cards

I LOVE reading. I LOVE reading many different genres.  One of those being about the paranormal, more specifically about bear shifters.  This book is book 3 of the The Outcast Bears Series by the top 100 author, Emilia Hartley who makes these wonderful paranormal creatures ‘come to life’ before your very eyes.  In this book we get to learn about Ashe and Cohen.  She is the result of a witch mother and a lynx shifter father, but she herself cannot shift and so she is mistrusted. She only ever feels safe when Cohen is there. But Cohen has his own problems. he is an alpha bear shifter with no pack to run and he is concerned that he couldn’t control his bear. They knew each other as youngsters but they kept apart and never spoke.  Cohen avoids his family and those he loves to protect them from his bear. But Ashe has seen him in the cards and knows that her only chance of happiness is with him!  To find out how this all occurs and if they do, indeed, have their HEA you need to get your own copy and enjoy.  This can be read as a standalone although it is much better as a part of the series.  I can’t wait for the next book!  I loved reading about Cohen and Ashe and her struggles with magic and his with his bear and I so wanted their story to turn out well.  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Clan Legacy Complete Series Box Set by J. S. Striker

 Paranormal Stories At Their Best

This is a fabulous collection of eleven paranormal stories by J. S. Striker who is a terrific author who really knows how to draw the reader into the storyline and maintain their attention right to the very end.  There is something for everyone in this collection. There are wolf shifters, dragon shifters, bear shifters [my personal favourites], panther shifters and vampires! If you haven’t tried reading any paranormal stories before then you are in for a treat with this well written bundle.  I have no qualms at all about encouraging you to get yourselves a copy of this now and enjoy.  With hunky heroes and feisty heroines, plenty of ‘bad’ guys, twists and suspense that will keep you on the edges of your seats but also getting hot in the steamy sexy scenes!!

This is part of the Clan Legacy Series by J.S. Striker, but don’t let that put you off as this can easily be read as a standalone or as part of the complete series. For those who have read the series like me, I remember Simon in prior episodes. The blurb is very true to the book. Robin wants to be the best witch ever and her friend Simon, from long ago, just wants to settle down with a wolf shifter and enjoy family life. Having not seen each other in a few years they are taken aback by the sizzling passion they feel for one another. On a mission together, Simon becomes jealous and has difficulty hiding it. Robin also is having trouble keeping her desires for him in check. Who will give in first? This is a really fun read and story that I enjoyed immensely and look forward to the next story. Bearly Rescued: A Howls Romance (Mates of Bear Paw River #3) by Everleigh Clark

   Can They Find A Way to a  HEA  For Them?

Caleb is a bear shifter who is running away from his past and trying to make amends so he goes undercover to work for a human called bossman who is torturing shifters.  Isabelle, or Izzy, is a princess wolf shifter and has special powers and secrets just like Caleb.  His ‘cover’ as a guard at the facility where Izzy has been captured, when his bear suddenly roars ‘MATE’ but Caleb strives to ignore the mating thrall but the chemistry between him and Izzy is too great and real to ignore.  This is a fantastic paranormal by Everleigh Clark is wonderful to read.  I love many genres of books and paranormal with bear shifters is one of my favourite.  This is so well written with a fabulous storyline, and spectacular characters such as Caleb who is gorgeous and Izzy who is a strong, feisty young woman/wolf shifter that have so much chemistry between them that it’s off the charts. With plenty of red hot, steamy scenes that you’ll need a fan handy to cool yourself down and the passion between them sizzles throughout the story.  So many secrets and such a powerful enemy. Can they find a way to be together for ever?  This is book 3 of the Mates of Bear Paw River and is my personal favourite although the others are wonderful too. This can be read as a standalone quite happily although, I think it’s better reading them all in order.  Enjoy!!!  I look forward to reading more stories by Everleigh Clark.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Matched with the Bear: A Shifter Dating Agency Romance by Ruby Forrest

  The Bear’s Mate

Okay – I have to confess that I LOVE bears, I really like shifter stories, romances and so this book is jest perfect for me as it’s a romantic story about bear shifters and by Ruby Forrest who is a new author to me so I’ve also found another author to follow as I do like her writing style and the storyline is great!  Bronte is an interior decorator and catches her boyfriend cheating on her in her own bed. So she packs and leaves.  She sees in the paper a notice for a Dating Agency and decides to try it out. meanwhile, Brett is sick of meeting girls who just want to have a good time and his money so he joins this agency too.  They are matched but he doesn’t reveal his true nature of being  a bear shifter till later on in the book. There are some time jumps that make it a bit ‘awkward’ and I would have preferred more details and depth to their characters and storyline. I do hope since we’ve met his brothers that we’re going to be able to read their stories in the future. This is a short read and I would hope that as Ruby gains more experience that she will write longer stories which will provide more information about the plot and the various characters so become more 3-dimensional and so more entertaining.

Gage (The Outcast Bears Book 2) by Emilia Hartley

  Finding His Mate

This is book 2 of The  Outcast Bear Series by Emilia Hartley who, as far as I’m concerned is one of the best authors writing about bear shifters.   The first book was fabulous and this one is just as good a read.  Whilst being part of a series it can be read as a standalone with no issues although, I personally prefer to read them in order as a series.  Kaylee has had a rough time when her partner basically stole their business and so her mum and dad suggested that she have a holiday and regroup. She’s standing in a shop one minute being bitten by  a man and she runs out when he is looking elsewhere. gage is a bear shifter and general good guy who cares.  He sees a young coyote pup scared in an alleyway and he takes it home as he remembers hearing about someone being shifted by force the other day and knows he can help the pup learn some shifter rules/tricks to survive and control their shifting.  His bear also recognises the pup and although he has no idea who she is, his bear knows she is very important to them.  This is a beautifully sweet story of love between Kaylee and Gage that I really enjoyed. They are two very engaging characters that Emilia has created for us.   This is a fabulous part of the series and sees gage make the decision whether he is going to leave or not and also when he finds his mate whom he has longed to find.  A great story and I’m now really looking forward to book 3 of the bear shifters in The Outcast Bear Series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bear Club by Miranda Bailey

  Bear Shifters At Your Service

I read this book last year and enjoyed it very much.  Trudi has struggled with her dirt poor background is on her way to a position to work for a senator but her GPS gets her journey all wrong and she ends up in the middle of nowhere with only a biker bar , Ursa Majors, the local motorcycle club, nearby for assistance when her car breaks down.  Trudi is very dubious about going inside but she literally has no choice so in she goes and that is where she meets Travis and Quinn. Oh my goodness, it’s surprising that she didn’t just melt into their arms on first sight as they’re gorgeous examples of alpha manhood – a far cry from the ‘prissy’ senator. In fact, they are not like she expected at all – but are so much more and very much like she really wants.  This is a fast paced, sexy tale of a woman who starts out on a certain path realises that she has made a mistake before it can cause her any harm.  Quinn and Travis are in lust with Trudi as soon as they see her and the more time spent with her the more they want her to stay with them and never leave.  To find out how Trudi feels you’re going to have to get this book [there is a part 2 which I would have at the ready to read straight after]. Will Trudi reciprocate their feelings? Will the senator’s pull of status prevail or will these two sexy lovers capture her heart and convince her to stay?? Miranda Bailey is a favourite of mine as I love her shifter stories and she really ‘knows’ how to weave a story with them as the main event in a book.
