My Brother’s Bad Best Friend by B. B. Hamel

  The Bad Boy She Needs

Lizzie was devastated when her elder half-brother, Ezra, was kicked out of their home by their abusive step-father, Royal. His best friend, Jonas, was a known bad boy and drug dealer and he fascinated her and he helped Ezra cope and find a place in the real world.  Lizzie’s boyfriend killed himself in a car accident and injured her badly too.  Her life is going no where, but she realises that she must get out too when Royal punches her in the face.  So she packs and goes to Ezra and Jonas’s apartment.  She discovers that Jonas isn’t exactly as he seems but neither is her brother.  This story is about self discovery and red hot passion between Lizzie and Jonas that you will not want to put down till you’ve completed the whole book.  B.B. Hamel has a way of pulling me into her stories so that I almost ‘feel’ as if I know the characters and feel invested in their romantic adventure.  This is why I love her books and will continue to read every new novel. So well written, believable and fun with plenty of heat.  Jonas is a dangerous man but he is oh so gorgeous too.   I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Due Date: A Baby Contract Romance by Emily Bishop

  An Immature ‘Hero’

I normally love Emily Bishop’s stories but this one just didn’t work for me. Wes was an immature jerk who just wanted, and did, jump on his bike and ride off leaving a load of lovers in his trail and not settling down anywhere or with any job. His father wants him to settle down and have a legitimate heir as his older brother has died. He sees one of his ex’s from high school [also his best friend’s younger sister – although she is supposed to be the same age as him whilst he’s also the same age as her brother??]  Then one of his many ex’s comes along with a child claiming to be his.  Remy and Wes together?? Forever?/ based on this story, I don’t think they stand a chance as I wouldn’t trust him to not just jump on his bike and go off without a word.  So sorry this book was just not for me. But I do look forward to reading Emily’s next story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

His Amazing Baby by B.B. Hamel

Her Brother’s Sexy Best Friend Got Her Pregnant!

Riley had crushed on her older brother’s best friend, Aaron. he was confident, cocky, handsome, gorgeous and like sex on two legs. But she doubts he even thinks of her at all. She’s nerdy and quiet.  Twelve years fly by and she’s into the job of her dreams as an engineer working in solar energy when he starts working for the company in PR. He hasn’t changed much – still as confident and as cocky as ever but more handsome and she can’t stop thinking of him. But this time he does notice her much to her surprise and he wants her!  She can’t say NO to him and she ends up miraculously getting pregnant [she had been told it was impossible for her to have children].  As they work more closely together, real feelings start to grow and when he finds out that she’s carrying his child he will do anything to keep her and their baby safe.  I loved the interactions between Aaron and Riley and it is so obvious that her feelings for him are still there and are ‘waking up’ to that fact and as you read the story, you realise the depth of feelings he has for her.  Now don’t get me wrong – this is a story by B.B. Hamel  so there is OODLES of RED HOT Steam, a great and unique storyline and two people who are such fun and,yes HOT, together.  Their banter is flowing and seductive. This book was read in one go as I couldn’t put it down as it was such a good read.  This is one must have read from B.B. Hamel.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Come Back to Me: A Brother’s Best Friend Romance by Vivien Vale, Gage Grayson

  Loving His Best Friend’s Sister

Ruby’s older brother, Jake, invites his best friend, Wyatt, to the lake where they all had so many found memories of growing up.  Seven years ago Wyatt kissed Ruby and neither has forgotten it.  He became a Navy SEAL and has been through traumatic events as you can only imagine and has PTSD.  But he’s back now and Ruby is even more beautiful, both inside and out, than ever.  The chemistry between them is so strong that you could almost ‘feel’ it emitting from the pages in the book.  This is a wonderful read composed by those brilliant authors, Gage Grayson and Vivien Vale who write so beautifully in their own right, but together – they are magnificent! I loved reading about Wyatt and Ruby getting to know one another again in this second chance romance – sitting in front of the fire, and with the air simmering with the heat radiating off them.  This is a story that is romance with a capital R.  Such wonderful ‘people’ and their love and passion is not going to be denied for long.  There is some angst and full of emotions all woven into a lovely storyline that I could not put down [yes I lost some sleep but it was well worth it] and will certainly remember, and want to read again.  I look forward to reading more of their stories! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

First Taste: My Best Friend’s Little Sister Romance by Lauren Wood

  Once Will never Be Enough!

Eve has had a crush on her brother, Carl’s, best friend, Stan but only ever saw her as his friend’s little sister.  They don’t see each other for many years when Eve is on holiday with her bff, Callie, and they accidentally walk into Cambodia with a supposed artifact and so they are arrested and slung into prison. Carl finds out and immediately calls Stan as he is now a very successful solicitor. Stan pushes his work aside and flies out to help. Now they are both adults and, this time, with no Carl around they become involved as they are bot so attracted to one another.  But once is not enough! What will Carl do if or when he finds out?  Lauren Woods has delivered a real winning story here, yet again, and I loved the suspense, the angst, the quirky Callie and how protective Carl was of Eve.  But most of all I loved Stan and what he did so that he could get her out of prison.  He gets frustrated by her stubbornness but is also attracted to her because of that very loyalty she has for those she loves.  Turn your fans and air con on before reading this !!  The intimate scenes between them are red hot as the chemistry explodes between them. I look forward to Lauren’s next book!I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Please Me: A Lover Boys Romance Collection by Michelle Love

 A Steamy Must Have Collection

Michelle Love is one of my top favourite authors and I know that whenever I pick up one of her books that I’m going to be engrossed and ‘glued’ to my Kindle reading her story.  In this collection we have not one but SEVEN different stories, two of which are not published anywhere else *.  The titles are :-

1. A Single Mother’s Heart (A Billionaire & A Single Mother’s Romance) *

2. A Lover’s Secret Baby (A Billionaire Secret Baby Romance)*

4. His Sweet Torment (A Bad Boy Billionaire Romance)

5. Daddy Next Door (A Bad Boy Billionaire Romance)

6. Secrets & Desires (Season of Desire Book One) – A Love So Strong

11 November 2017 Verified Purchase – There is so much that you need to know with this story as it is compulsive reading with a storyline quite unique. Michelle Love has exceeded my expectations which were very high to start with. This isn’t just a love story about Nox [gorgeous, handsome, intelligent, charming, good looking, FIT, talented in so many ways 😉 ,caring, protective, loyal, secretive, lonely in many ways surrounded by people, charismatic, SEXY, too trusting in many ways, wanting to believe the good of people and possessive but in a so good loving way.

This is a suspenseful story with real tragedy in the past and in the present as more and more , firstly, bizarre, then deadly events happen. I loved the detail that Michelle went into that whilst they didn’t all make much sense at the time, later on they become vital to what is happening. The romance aspects of this story are beautiful and HOT as you’d expect from a book by this author. But it was so very much more. It captured my imagination and it was only when the bizarre things started that I fully appreciated that this book was exceptional. if I could give it more than 5 stars I would as it certainly deserves it. Michelle was already one of my group of favourite authors but this really cemented her place there. if you haven’t read any of her books before – why?? She has penned a story here that, once you’ve read it, you will always remember the tension, the sorrow, the relief, the love and the joy of life it all encompasses. Don’t pass this book by. Please try it and I sincerely hope that you love it as much as do. I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. An Exceptional Story. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED
* I have bought this book even though I was given an arc as I will be re-reading this for years to come. Plus the bonus stories are excellent too and very enjoyable too.

7. Arsen’s Rules (A Billionaire Romance Novel)

This is an exceptionally good collection that I strongly recommend that you purchase for yourself. A perfect bundle to take away on holiday.

I purchased my own copy of this book and, whilst I had read a few of them before, I enjoyed re-reading some and relished reading the new stories to me. DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Bad Seed: A Brother’s Best Friend Romance by Rye Hart

  Not To Be Missed!

Scott had a very troubled and abusive childhood and it was only when his best friend’s, Rob, family took him in that he had a stable and loving home.  Now Rob’s younger sister, Theresa,  had a major crush on Scott – she always had, but when she was misheard talking to her best friend, Jane, about Scott her father, Glen, chucks Scott out of the only home he knew. Theresa is devastated and tries her very best to stop her father but he won’t listen to her and Scott leaves. She tries to find him but he’s gone. Gone for good. At least, he’s gone for eleven years and he receives an email telling him that Theresa is in trouble and needs him. So what’s our hero going to do but go back to save the young girl he cared so much for?  The beginning of the book by Rye Hart just illustrates why she is a USA top selling author. The emotions flowing through her words really =drew me into the story that is powerful. there is angst, grief, love, compassion, secrets  – plenty of secrets, lust, passion and LOVE.  Scott and Theresa are just so perfect together and when they meet again as adults just emphasises how they both knew each other was ‘special’ to them years ago whilst growing up.  I loved the banter between them and the way they were trying to keep secret from her family that they were together. But who sent the mysterious email to Scott in the first place?  This is one MUST HAVE READ that will remain in your memory for a long time as it is so well written and just re-enforces why I look forward to every book that Rye writes for us, her readers.

I received a reader’s copy of this book by Rye Hart and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. However, as I enjoyed it so much and to support the author, I purchased my own copy and look forward to reading the bonus, and exclusive materials, Accidental Daddy,Beautiful Disaster, The Better Brother and Forbidden Touch.

The Baby Package by Sarah J. Brooks

A Story Of Love & Hope

Sarah J. brooks is one of the USA’s best selling authors for a very good reason – she is an author who knows what her readers want and she conjures up the most wonderful storylines with fascinating characters that just make your heart melt.   This is one must have read by her that I think you’ll love as much as I do.  Mike  feels comfortable with Julia and it’s almost as if he knows her but he doesn’t make the connection.  The thing he has forgotten is that she is his old friend, Rob’s, younger sister and she had a major crush on him long ago.  Now she is home again and wanting to have a child but not a relationship. When she meets him by chance at the fertility clinic where he is a doctor,  the chemistry that she always felt for him , is now also felt by Mike and it quickly blossoms and rapidly grows.  Mike has not been very successful in relationships in the past and since Julia is a very stubborn and feisty young woman, will they ever get together????  Will she give him a chance?  Will Julia risk her heart? I loved the witty banter between these two believable characters and thought that the epilogue was superb as it nicely rounded off the story. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

The One who got Away: A Second Chance Romance by Mia Ford

  Hold On Close

Brandon, Leah’s older brother, is having his 18th birthday party to which his best friend, Zane, is invited too with other friends. Leah has had a major crush on Zane for years but he rides a motorcycle, is gorgeous and wealthy so why would he even look at Leah? But as the party goes on, Leah and Zane end up chatting and taking a walk. Then kissing and the passion between them leads to them going to bed together and she gives him her v-card.  he starts to help her tidy up after the party and promises that he will be back the next morning to help and to see her.  Leah goes to sleep in bliss. But when Zane gets home he is forced by his father to pack and leave for California to start a medical degree at university [Zane had wanted to start his own motorcycle shop and repair bikes and live there and be with Leah]. So the next day he can’t see Leah and hasn’t left any note.  She doesn’t hear from him in years.  I loved that Mia Ford, who is a tremendous author, did not make Zane out to be some womanising playboy whilst he was away. he constantly thought of Leah.  There are so many conflicts in this story as both Zane’s parents don’t really want what he thinks is best for him but what they want him to do.  Leah’s parents and brother are not happy with her choices.  Now what you’re wanting to know is whether Zane and Leah get back together – don’t you? But if you’ve read any of my reviews before I don’t give spoilers. I’m just here to let you know what I thought of the story.  I actually loved the storyline, with strong characters and the love between Zane and Leah is sweet and gets progressively hotter so have your fans/.air con set to MAX COOL, switch off your phones and lock the doors.  This is one story that hooked my attention on page one and maintained it right through to the end.  As for the exclusive … nope, no spoilers but you NEED to get your own copy!

I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  However, As I enjoyed this so much and wanted to be able to read the exclusive bonus story, SHH… Don’t Tell plus other bonus stories, I purchased my own copy of the book.

Unbroken: A Second Chance Romance by Aria Ford

  Will They Or Won’t They?

Margo and jay were childhood sweethearts and he was her brother’s best friend.  He was a talented footballer and played for the NFL whilst Margo was a beauty and a model for a make up company. They have made a pact to never go to each other’s work – she never sees him play unless it’s on TV later and he doesn’t go to her photo shoots.  But she hears from her brother that jay has been severely injured in a match and his career may be over.  Margo never hears from him again as he ghosts her totally.  She is devastated and can’t get on with her life as she still loves him and , believe it or not, but he still loves her but doesn’t feel worthy of her.  Four years later, he comes home for his dad’s birthday and he sees her at the airport with her brother.  But he continues to push her away and won’t give her the answers that she needs to hear from him and really that they both need to talk about.  There is a great deal going on in this latest story by Aria Ford.  She has created a great storyline with interesting characters and secrets.  Whilst I did feel so sorry for jay, he really needed to not give up on himself and others who loved him.  he’s so unhappy doing that – so it’s obviously not working so why not embrace his loved ones instead??  Margo seems to almost ‘let him’ push her away again and again which, in a way may have encouraged his behaviour.  But does she continue like this or does she decide to take him at his word and evict him from her heart?  Can she do this? Will jay be happy if she turns away and leaves him alone forever??  This is a good story although I did want to give them both a ‘mental shake’ to grow up a bit and see what is really the important things that they want in life.  I will, however, be looking forward to Aria’s next story.I received a reader’s copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
