Ian’s roomie has left and he is looking for a new one.  he hear’s that Abigail, his best friend Zach’s little sister, is having to move out of her apartment and has also just lost her job.  As Abigail is his friend and Zach sees the sense of this as Ian will fund her lodging till she gets a new job she moves in.  But Jason, her creepy stalking ex, is back in the area so Abigail says that she is engaged to Ian.  he goes along with this fake engagement as it keeps the women at his gym at a safe distance.  How long will they have to maintain their fake engagement?  How will Jason react to finding out that Abigail is now engaged? As there has always been an attraction between Abigail and Ian, will they be able to keep their distance from each other?  Bearing in mind that this book has been written by Amy Brent, we should all realise that their is going to be  a HEA, no cheating and lots of sizzling, passionate scenes where our hero and heroine are going to ‘discover’ their love for one another.  Amy’s wit and sense of humour shines through the story and it is so easy to love these two and want them to have their HEA – but will Zach get in their way?? I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.  However, as I enjoyed the book and to sup[port the author I have purchased my own copy of it so I can also read all the bonus stories this bank Holiday Weekend, including the exclusive one, Baby Fever.

   This Time he Will Win The Girl Of His Dreams

Theresa has a major crush on her older brother, Hollis’, best friend, Scott, who is a bit of a nerd. What she doesn’t realise is that he likes her too but because she is 15 to his 18 and he is living with her family [they took him in because of the way he was being treated by his supposed family].  She is talking with her bff, Jane, and they’re talking about which boys they’d like to kiss them. her mum overhears and misinterprets what was said, tells her dad and he kicks Scott out of the house even though Theresa stands up for him. He leaves town and no one hears from him again. He works hard and, with enterprise and good management, his construction firm makes him a billionaire.  But he still thinks of Theresa wishing life could have been different.  Meanwhile Theresa gets a college degree in business but he dad still has her working as a clerk in his business not using her abilities. But her life isn’t even great in love as her boyfriend, Ike, is a controlling and manipulative jerk and those who care for her are worried.  Scott gets an email sent to him and it states “Theresa needs you. She’s in trouble. Please come home and help her.” So he drops everything and goes ‘home’. Hollis is in now in the police force but even he can’t help Theresa.  When they meet again the attraction between Theresa and Scott is even deeper than before. But how is Ike going to react to Scott being around? What will Theresa’s dad say with Scott being home??  To find out if you think that this time Scott and Theresa will get their HEA together you need to get your own copy and enjoy to find all these answers.  This latest story by Rye Hart is a real emotional tale that will make you feel so sorry for Theresa and Scott. The chemistry between them is so obvious and I loved the way Rye ‘reintroduced’ them to each other in the story.  Plus who has sent the email to Scott??? Wanting It: A Brother’s Best Friend Romance by Scarlet Wilder

  Giving In To Their Passion

Nicole’s brother, Brandon is getting married in Hawaii and everything is paid for apart from the flight tickets there.  Nicole is taking her best friend as she has been so busy with work that she doesn’t have a boyfriend.  Brandon’s best friend, Jack, is a professional photographer and also a workaholic so goes on his own to the wedding. When he spots Nikki [Nicole] for the first time in years he realises that she is most definitely NOT a little girl anymore. But the best friend code won’t let him go after Nikki as her brother would kill him!  But the attraction between them can’t be ignored and Jack can see that she’s as into him as he is with her.  Can they explore a relationship between them without her brother finding out?  Certainly the attraction between them is off the charts and this storyline, whilst not unique is well written and with interesting and believable characters that are very likeable. I enjoyed reading this book by Scarlet Wilder, the first that I’ve read by her, and I look forward to reading more of her stories. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

So he calls on his best friend, Ford, to go and protect her.  Now Ford loved Addie years ago but thought that he wasn’t good enough for sweet little Addie. But when he flies out to her, he finds that she is no longer ‘sweet little Addie’ but one stunning and gorgeous young woman that he can’t get out of his mind. As they spend more time with each other their feelings deepen and the chemistry between them cannot be denied nor do they want to deny it.  They both want to protect their hearts but maybe they have a chance of real happiness together if they try. Surely the opportunity of a lasting and loving relationship is worth the risk?  Will Ford be able to keep her safe?  Will they act upon their passion for each other or will they let this second chance go?  I really enjoyed this fun read.  Addie and Ford’s characters just ‘leapt off the pages’ to me and were so 3-dimensional that it was almost as if I knew them which made the story so much more entertaining and readable.  I have read many Vivien Vales stories before and have loved each and every one of them.  There is no cheating plenty of passion and love between the two main characters with caring and respectful but with plenty of sass and fun too!  I really enjoyed this book which I read in one go and I am now looking forward with anticipation for her next story.  get yourself a copy now and enjoy! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Torment (Savages and Saints #1) by C.M. Seabrook

  Bad Boy Comes Home

Torment is the first in the new series, Savages and Saints by that well known Irish writer C.M. Seabrook and you are in for a really great treat with this first book. Zee St. James was the local bad boy and Quinn’s brother’s best friend and she had had a crush on him for years but he never thought that he was good enough for her. After one mind blowing passionate kiss he left the next day without a word and broke her heart. No words nothing directly to them but he was mentioned in the press as the bad boy of rock and he wasn’t in a good place at all. After years of taking illegal drugs and alcohol he nearly died which was the wake up call he needed and so he got admitted to rehab and now he’s back home.  His demons are still right with him but he’s come home to try and put right what he did wrong and make peace.  Quinn still loves him [she is even living his apartment] and didn’t expect him back. But now he’s back she is determined to try to be his and she will have his back as he fights his demons. can her love overcome all adversities? Can she prove to him that he is good enough for her?  Will he admit he loves her too or is he going to waste this second chance of happiness?  Whilst this is the first book in the series, it is very easily read as a standalone and, I confess, that I am now waiting impatiently for book 2 as it was a really well written story and I thought Quinn and Zee were so good together. The attraction between them was palpable and the author drew me into this story so quickly and kept me rooting for them.  It will be interesting to see who will be the next two main protagonists in book 2, but I do hope that we get to see, or at least hear how Zee and Quinn are doing in their lives!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a  review.

  Second Chances – & Beautiful Ending!

Cherry and Gabriel were childhood friends, with Gabriel being her older brother, Brent’s, best friend.  When Cherry’s dad died, Brent said he would take care of their mum and her and for her not to worry but this was not to be following a tragic accident. So Gabriel left and he never saw Cherry for years but he’s back now and they are astonished when they meet again.  Cherry’s mum is seriously ill and she is doing all she can to make sufficient money to pay for her medical bills.  meanwhile, Gabriel’s father gives him an ultimatum – have a child to show responsibility or you won’t become the CEO and owner of the company after his father!  Gabriel is obviously furious and is furious with his father but what he doesn’t realise is that his P.A. who keeps him on track perfectly has given her job to Cherry.  he has always liked Cherry especially when she started to develop into a stunning young woman and they do have a history but she is even more beautiful now and he really does want to get to know her better anyway.  But could she help him with his father’s latest proclamation??  He’s sexually attracted to her and she seems to be equally into him as the air practically crackles with electricity humming between them.  But what happens when real and lasting emotions become involved??  I loved the beginning of the story and I don’t know how Cherry was so polite to that wedding planner and as for that jerk, Ashley, she had a very lucky escape form him.  I loved the way R.R. banks gave us layers of the story and as I got into the story more  and more layers were revealed making this the perfect feel good factor story. So well written with a unique storyline that was such fun to read and as he revealed more and more parts of the layers to the story it became ‘alive’ to me and the characters were not just made up of letters on a page but were almost 3- dimensional and animated.  I admit my expectations of this story were very high after reading R.R. Banks last novel , Accidentally Married, but he has surpassed my expectations and I look forward with anticipation for his next story for us to enjoy! I received a reader’s copy of this story and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

I have purchased my own copy of the story as I know that I will be wanting to re-read this story in the future as it is so good plus the bonus materials are extremely good [I have that on good recommendations from a friend] and so will be enjoying reading them beginning this evening.

I enjoyed this from first to last page [with the red hot passionate love making and steamy scenes]. Saving HER: A Brother’s Best Friend Fireman Romance by Mia Ford

  Andy Needs To Be A REAL Man

Andrea is our heroine for this story and she has had a very tough time lately as her husband, Dennis, whom everyone warned her about is a violent, abusive, drunk and the story starts with her petrified that he’s got her pregnant. Fortunately the test is negative but she knows that she must leave him before he beats her to death. He drunkenly calls her to come and pick him up and this time she packs and runs home to her brother, Bobby, who takes her in.  Bobby is a good guy and a fireman just like his best friend Andy who Andrea used to follow round the pair of them when they were younger.  Andy is a womaniser and even brags that he would not be at all surprised if one of the many of the dozens of young women that he’s had unprotected sex with will turn up pregnant to him!!!!!  What a jerk!!  he also had a crazy ‘f*** buddy, called Hannah, who is possessive of him and doesn’t take a NO from him.  Is Andy riddled with STD’s??  Probably, if this was real life, but we don’t know – I know this is a story but Mia Ford writes such believable stories that I really think Andrea should have made him go and get checked out to be sure.  So I love Andrea as she has suffered so very much and is such a good person.  Andy??  No I don’t like the way he has treated women in the past and his sexual health could be very problematic [with spreading disease and not very mature attitude]. If I discount this aspect of Andy then, yes, he is a hero in the story except he needs to grow a set and let Hannah know without doubt that they are finished as she is a complete ‘nutcase’ and a potential danger.  Bobby asks Andy to help keep an eye out for Andrea which he is more than happy to do [see – he can be selfless and a great guy!]  But is Dennis just going to let Andrea get away as she is his property!  What will he do when he finds her gone?  Will Bobby be happy about Andrea and Andy having a relationship or will he be worried that, as usual, Andy is just using another female for sex?  Is Andy even capable of having a real relationship with any female?  To find out you need to get a copy of this story that has been composed by Mia Ford who is a top 100 author for very good reasons.  Her storyline here is very powerful and touches on subjects of abuse  and the trauma that people can got through in an abusive relationship and how they can escape from one.

I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  However, I purchased my own copy too as I enjoyed it so much [as long as I ignored Andy’s past history towards women] and know that I will want to re-read it in the future. Plus the bonus books are fabulous!

I actually read this story twice as I loved the writing style but did not like Andy’s irresponsible behaviour towards women. I was torn about what number of stars to give because of this. but by reading it again and putting my thought processes on ‘paper’ I justified why, in spite of Andy’s previous behaviour, as this is fiction [and maybe possible with the ‘right’ women’s influence] a man with his past could change.

Elena, her sister and their brother knew Damon as they were growing up. Elena has had a crush on him for as long as she can remember but she thinks he just regards her as his friend’s little sister.  Damon and Elena’s families are involved in the mafia and Damon is a hitman for them.  He learns that it was because of her dad that he lost his family and he is intent on Retribution.  He also knows that Elena is where he is going to make her dad hurt the most when he plans to kidnap her and more.  But what he didn’t expect was to fall for her!  Nikki Chase has composed for us a delightfully sensual and passionate story full of emotions from the hard hitman who didn’t think his heart could get involved with anyone – never mind his ‘enemy’s daughter!  I have been reading Nikki Chase’s stories for a couple of years now and her stories always entertain me, captivate my attention and leave me looking forward for her next book.  So beautifully written with plenty of detail so that I almost felt as if I knew these two people.  Elena is a lovely young woman who has a very loving and caring  personality. Meanwhile Damon – the hard nosed hitman, has a gentle heart and he cares passionately about those that he loves and it was so easy to see why Elena loved him. When Damon’s plan doesn’t go accordingly he adapts but also realises that he is falling hard for her.  All does not go smoothly for this couple but they endure and their love will be tested again and again.  To find out whether they get their HEA and what will happen to her father, you’re going to have to get your own copy and I do encourage you to do so as this is a really great book that I didn’t put down until I’d completely read it all.  fans at the ready for the steamy scenes and remember to switch off your phones so that there are no interruptions! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Katie has always loved her brother’s best friend, and their neighbours, the O’Conner brothers, When they were younger they all went camping and they kept her safe but she was way too young for them and taboo.  Now Katie comes home after college all ready to get married and the O’Conners are now even more handsome, gorgeous, charming and sexy than ever before and they still want her [and they’re used to sharing women!][. When Katie finds out her rat of a fiancée has been cheating on her she dumps him asap and the brothers are ready to console her.  Did I mention they are now wildly successful and billionaires??  So the lights are green for go and so they do all FOUR of them want Katie more than ever. But will this just be a one night stand or are they wanting a real relationship forever? To find out you’re going to have to get yourself a copy like I did and be prepared to read it all in one go as Rye Hart captured my imagination with her terrific storyline and kept me engrossed with the characters right to the end. Wonderful characters that are believable and I certainly hoped for a HEA for them.
