Light Up The Night: A Bad Boy Firefighter Novel by Weston Parker

Every Good Girl Deserves a Bad Boy” ~ Weston

Hayden and Mel were made for each other. He’s a firefighter and is lonely. She is a single mum with a daughter, Kaylee, and runs her restaurant where the firefighters love to eat. It is there that she meets Hayden.  They have both been hurt before and she just doesn’t want to get involved with a man in a dangerous occupation.  But can they deny the heat and passion between them?  Can they both grasp life and take a chance on finding happiness and love with one another?  I love the way that Weston Parker builds up his characters and storylines so that I feel as if I’m actually ‘seeing’ it unfold between the pages on my kindle. He creates these wonderful 3-dimensional people who are so realistic and so likeable. When things heat up between these two you’re going to need to switch on your fan/ac as there is STEAM HEAT! I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

His stories just get better with each new one published. Superb! DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

My Protector (Firefighter Secret Baby Romance) by Ashlee Price

Will They Protect Each Other’s Heart?

This is the latest story by Ashlee Price who is a USA best selling author. I have read many of her stories and enjoyed each and every one of them.  This book surrounds Jenna and Tanner.Jenna has just finished college but doesn’t know where to go, or if she will, to grad school. She returns to her hometown where her father’s business is going downhill and he is having difficulties with a horrid shade character. plus he ex boyfriend, Tanner, a fireman no less and gorgeous with it, who asked her to marry him before she left for college is still holding her heart in his hands. But after she rejected him he tried to move on with Brandy but they aren’t exactly in a stable nor consistent relationship. Jenna’s Dad is not coping since her mum died and she is so worried about him, what’s she going to do in her life and whether she wants Tanner back. She’s all over the place. Tanner still wants Jenna but he’s got to cope with the extra work with fires round town, with Jenna “flying off the handle” and not listening to explanations form people she should trust. Tanner is a wonderful man whilst being absolutely a real stud muffin and a fireman, he really cares about Jenna but can he trust her to guard and nurture his heart if he offers it again to her? A truly fabulous story by Ashlee price whose writing just becomes more absorbing with every book she writes. I think this is her best yet and the others are terrific!!! I look forward to reading her next page turning story 🙂  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Sully: A Bad Boy Firefighter Romance (Black Reapers Motorcycle Club Book 3) by Jade Kuzma

   Hero To The Rescue

Set in the lovely small town of Ivory.  Firefighter and bad boy biker, Dorian had all the woman throwing themselves at him but he was only doing what he felt right in his work – he wasn’t a hero. he just did the right thing to the best of his ability. However, he has a chance meeting with an old classmate whom he never looked at twice when they were in school together. But Gina has grown up in the most delightful way and the chemistry between them is sizzling but he’s not going to out out the flames between them. Oh no!!  He’s going to do his best to fan those flames as Gina is something very special and he’s never felt this way before about any woman.  All is going well as they start getting to know one another better when tragedy happens.  Will this make them stronger or tear them apart??  This book is book 3 in the Black Reapers Motorcycle Club but can certainly be read as a standalone.  I hadn’t read anything by Jade Kuzma before this but I was really impressed with her style of writing, her attention to detail and the way she creates her characters and they develop over the book.  Thus, I will now be reading books One and Two now as book 3 was so compelling.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Hot As Hell: A Second Chance Romance by Vivian Wood

    Like Tow Magnets Drawn Together

Well Vivian Wood has given us, yet another, wonderful treat with Cade, a gorgeous firefighter who is suffering PTSd bouts after a tragedy at a fire and his love and lust for his best friend’s little sister, Lily. Now Lily, a pastry chef at the local bakery beside the fire station where her two brothers work is learning to be even better with Jean Michael the owner of the bakery. It would be useful if you read Smoulder as it is the prequel to this story but don’t worry if you haven’t. Lily’s Dad was the fire chief many years ago and he helped Cade who was in the foster system and that’s how he met Ej , her brother, and became best friends with him and how he inspired Cade, Ej and his other son to follow him into the fire service too. Unfortunately their Dad died in a fire but the ‘boys’ still stayed in the service. Cade left 5 years ago and he still feels wrong for having left without saying a word to Lily as he loved her then but knew he couldn’t do anything to hurt his relationship with EJ by going out with his sister. Lily has never loved any man other than Cade and is still a virgin. When he walks into the bakery one day unexpectedly she is delighted and you can practically feel the smoldering desire between the two of them as it was so palpable. As they meet more often with him venturing into the bakery often and seeing each other at her brothers flat, Cade realises that his feelings for Lily have developed into so much more and eventually they’give in’ to their feelings and the love scene is so sensuous, passionate and , yet, so loving. Simply beautifully composed by Vivian as she can do so well. But once is never enough and the passion continues to build until they cannot deny their feelings for one another but they still haven’t told EJ. When things go awry and Lily ends up on the mountain where there is a forest fire, Cade knows that he will do anything to save Lily even to risking his ow life. But will Cade get the chance to save her? Will they both survive and will her brother forgive Cade? I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. I think this is my favourite of Vivian’s books and I love the other ones but the relationship between Cade and Lily is so sweet and , yet, steam heat that I can’t help but love it. This is one book that I will be re-reading and will be getting a copy for myself to re-read in the future.
