Making Sweet Music Together
Well Mia Ford/ Bella Winters has delivered such a heart warming, sexy yet suspenseful story for us here to enjoy. And I most certainly enjoyed this story of Charlie and Addy [aka Ada]. They dated for a short time in high school but she was too good for him and he didn’t feel ‘good enough’ for her and didn’t want to spoil her by being with him. So he left her bitter and heartbroken. He didn’t grow up wealthy but then his father made a great move and landed his business that made them filthy rich. He became very arrogant and Addy tried to pretend that she wasn’t with him – certainly her phone message she spoke on his answer machine left him in no doubt how she felt about him. He’s been distancing himself from his father and is now trying to get in the music business. meanwhile, Addy is now a music teacher in their old high school, and is rather shy [except for singing in front of her classes] and has broken up from her ex boyfriend, Jimmy, who is an abusive and dangerous creep. Addy’s best friend is girlfriend to Charlie’s agent, Thomas, and Lila has persuaded Addy to sing for the concert held in school to raise money for a charity. Addy is sick with nerves but sings beautifully and this confirms to Thomas and Charlie that she is the one he needs to help him make it in the music business. but he doesn’t recognise her at all!! He’s never forgotten her and the sexual frisson between them is off the charts. Do they get a second chance at a HEA or will they just work together?? It is so easy to love Addy, who whilst shy, is no pushover and she gains confidence throughout the story to even put the English department bullies in their place. Charlie is not my favourite character at the beginning but as the story progresses you will understand how my feelings for him altered so markedly and, I suspect, yours will too. But his father is causing trouble for the town and the local police even seem to be involved and what about Jimmy?? How is he going to feel with Addy being seen with Charlie?? This is so well written and we are taken through so many emotions in this truly unique storyline, and I was entertained from first to last page and didn’t want to put it down. The epilogue just brought everything together so well and I closed my Kindle at the end of the book with a smile on my face. This is one story that I will want to re-read in the future as it is so good. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. However, I enjoyed it so much and want to support the author[s] that I purchased my own copy and will be reading the bonus stories tonight!. I encourage you to get your own copy like I did and enjoy!
