I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Addie is a young woman who is also a very talented artist who can somehow seem to portray the emotions of people through her work.  At a gallery showing she attracts the attention of not one but TWO billionaires who love to feud with each other.  they’ve both decided that they want Addie! Thomas and Leo seem to be bewitched by her and appear to have called a truce just so that they can have her but they can’t resist being sarcastic and making snide remarks to each other. Do they love her or is it just the excitement of who will win her??  Difficult really to decide.  This book had plenty unromantic phrases that I didn’t particularly enjoy.  This is the first book that I’ve read by this author and based on this book I don’t think I will go out of my way to read more. I will read reviews of reviewers that I admire and see what they say about her books. The writing style didn’t flow and some choices for anatomical descriptions were just weird to me. I thought this could have been a fun rom com but , sadly, my expectations were not met.

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This starts out as a’normal’ BDSM story but then appears to be working towards something far more intense. Olivia is a talented screen writer but has little confidence. She goes to a party where she meets Edward. he promises that he can help her gain confidence so that she can work effectively in this male dominated world. She agrees but has no idea of what his control of her fully entails. This is a very intense story and you can ‘see’ how Olivia does blossom and become more confident. However, she still has many conflicts and barriers to break down and she is overwhelmed when she sees Edward being kissed by one of his friends and so she runs away. What happens? Will Olivia be safe? To find out you need to read this book. It is not the whole story of Edward and Olivia but the whole story is in print.

   What’s In Derek’s Past?

Settle yourself down and be prepared to be compelled to finish this book and want to immediately order the next book in the series! This is just a prequel to the Series so be warned that the murder mystery isn’t going to be ‘solved’ in this book. Now I confess that I hate cliffhangers and I tend to collect a series then read them one after the other, but this story was way too good to wait for the others to be published. WL Knightly is a pseudonym for Lexi Timms and Ali Parker from what I’ve read and so I know from that that it’s most likely going to be extremely well written and will capture my attention and maintain throughout the story. It did! The two main characters, apart from the murderer, are Detective Derek Blake of the NYPD and from the FBI, Special Agent Lizzy McNamara. He is married, unhappily, to an ex beauty queen who is unhappy and makes everyone near her unhappy too. But he made his vows and he will stick to them. Lizzy has worked so hard and her dedication to the job has made her an exceptional FBI agent but who is attracted to Derek though she will never do anything about it. A body of a young girl has been found and on her back was a tattoo that brings back dreadful memories to Derek who thought that part of his past was long dead and buried never to be found. But life is like that and is ready to shock you at any time when you least expect it. Lizzie is brought in to help on the case and he doesn’t let her know that many parts of the case bring back memories of a much younger Derek to mind. The suspense is built so well as it’s been cleverly woven into the story to increase the tension which all assists to make this rather dark murder mystery even more thrilling. I do like reading mysteries and murders as well as murder mysteries and this is certainly one of the best that I have read so far. I am now waiting impatiently for the next book as I NEED to know what is going on. Will Derek’s past catch up with him? Will Lizzy and Derek become more attached to one another?? I don’t know but I’m positive that I’m going to find out by reading the rest of the series as I’m hooked on it now. I thoroughly enjoyed this story and encourage you to get a copy and read it too as it is so great! I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book.
