Kane is an older man and a great cop with the most fantastic police canine ever called Malia.  He rescued her when he was on holiday in Alaska – paid for her training the lot and she is as devoted to him as he is to her!  She is also possessive of him and doesn’t like any woman he brings round till he meets Quinn again.  Now he’s on a stakeout for a drug mule when he realises with Malia’s help , just in time, NOT to tazer the ‘suspect because it’s Quinn – his best friend’s little sister who isn’t so little any more. In fact, she’s grown up into the  most delectable and stunning young woman that he wants to wrap up and have for himself alone.  She’s wearing the same clothes as the suspect so she points them in the right direction and they catch the drug mule. But his captain is mad at him for not following orders and he is suspended! Unbelievable!  However, it does mean that he has time to pursue Quinn and make sure that she’s on board with being HIS forever. Her brother might have something to say about it but she’s more important.  Instant love and oh such a glorious read that only Flora Ferrari can give. She composes the most compelling stories of instant love around and makes her characters so likeable, loveable, realistic and fun in witty storylines that draw you in and keep me coming back for more. One Last Touch: A Second Chance Romance Kindle Edition by Lauren Wood

   Will She Forgive Him?

Cal and Mariss were at college together but he was the bad boy playboy who had any female that he wanted. When he spotted her he knew that he would have her and he did in one amazing night but then she left without a word to go and care for her aunt.  Years later they meet at their best friends’ wedding that goes belly up.  he’s had too much to drink and has [unbeknown to Mariss is engaged to his boss’s daughter whom he doesn’t love but got him fast track promotion] another night with Mariss. But what is going to happen when she finds out that he made her the ‘other woman’???  He’s not being fair to either female in his life!  I must admit I think Mariss is a bit of a doormat in so many ways and Cal just repulsed me at times.  But then again, this is a book by Lauren Wood who is a top USA best selling author who I am a fan of her stories. There is some great witty dialogue and humour. This isn’t by any means a favourite of mine – mainly as I just don’t like books with any cheating at all – I only continued reading as it was by Lauren and well written.  I do, however, look forward to Lauren’s next book being published and I will definitely be getting a copy of that to read. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  A well written story.

Virgin in New York (A Man Who Knows What He Wants #59) by Flora Ferrari

   Another Smouldering Romance

Alexa’s dad has a sense of humour and decides to play a joke on her and his best friend, Alex.  Alexa is a young innocent and is going to New York to work and begin her adult life.  She meets Alex at an art gallery when she accidentally knocks over a very valuable vase but he says it and her!  When they find out who each other is and that she is staying with him [he thought her brother was staying with him], things begin to get heated!  As you can expect from a Flora Ferrari story, you know that there will be plenty of smouldering heat, sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine and that her dad is not going to be happy if the two of them get into a relationship together.  But bearing in mind how strongly attracted to each other they are, I don’t think it will make any difference.  I had a great time reading this story and I hope that you will too. With exceptional characters and a storyline that pulls you into their world.  I’m looking forward to Flora’s next book! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Her best yet – definitely recommended!

Buckle Up, Buttercup, A Cowboy Romance by Gigi Thorne

  Slow Start Then a Good Storyline!

Gigi Thorne is a collection of best selling authors who are collaborating to compose these wonderful stories for us.  This one was sad in some places, fun and red hot in others, whilst there was also a wicked’demon’ on the horizon – or should I say in the kitchen!  Beau, our hero, is not much of an alpha male and really he should have been as he basically was walked over completely by his wicked ex who should be in jail for life!  Winnie has had a hard life and was a total innocent till she met Beau and he ‘kidnapped’ her off the stage where she was going to dance and he couldn’t stomach the idea of any man, other than himself, of seeing all of her.  Her stage name is Buttercup – hence the title of the story.  So well written but not quite as good as the others basically because of some ‘muddling’. Having said that, I will be looking forward to Gigi’s next romantic adventure as they have all been so well written and once I had got over the first chapter, I enjoyed the story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Recommended

  One Of Her Best Stories Yet!

Anatasia is 18 and off to college in the Autumn but before that she wants to have a chance to spend time with her Dad’s best friend, Maddox, who is a MMA fighter, 38 years old, and is preparing for his last professional fight, a great prize and then retiring from fighting.  She has had a major crush on him for years   and has lusted after his photos.  He, meanwhile, always thought she was a sweet little girl but when he agrees to coach her and they end up on the mat together, the sparks fly, the air sizzles with the chemistry between them and they both can’t deny the attraction between them.  This sis one book that you won’t want nor will be able to put down till you reach the end – THANK YOU Flora for the wonderful epilogue!!!!!  Can’t wait for her next story.  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Most definitely recommended – grab a copy now!!!!

This is a fun and sweet romance set in Australia by that terrific author, Flora Ferrari.  We meet our heroine, Ruby, who has a six months work visa to be in Australia and she’s determined to enjoy herself and explore.  her rat of a boyfriend dumps her whilst she is away. But that turns out to be one of the best things to happen to her as soon after, she is rescued from being a crocodile’s lunch by Crocodile Dan D who is handsome, built, sexy and absolutely gorgeous. Love at first sight?  She decides to take off with him in his van to explore. But her six months are nearing an end.  What will happen to them?  Just how serious are they about each other? Will he stay or go with her? Splendidly written by Flora  who has a wonderful knack of knowing how to grasp your attention at page one, setting the heat to STEAM HEAT and keeping you wanting to know more so that you don’t put the book down till you’ve finished reading it all.
