Cop’s Caribbean Captive (A Man Who Knows What He Wants Book 81) by Flora Ferrari

Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT – Get Your Copy Now!

Well this was a great way to start the weekend with – a Flora Ferrari older man/younger woman romance! And this one is really different as Lucas, our HOT cop and very hunky hero, used to babysit Lia, our feisty beautiful young heroine, when she was tiny! He’s back from New York where he lives and works to have time with his best friend, her dad, and family. But her parents are kidnapped by Cuban criminals and they’re after her too now. Obviously Lucas is going to save and protect her as he’s already decided that she is HIS and no one at all is going to come near her. But can he save her parents too? The sparks coming off Lucas and Lia were dangerous for my Kindle as I read this steamy romance that had me on the edge of my seat as well as reaching to switch on the fan to MAX COOL. Whew! When Lucas and Lia get together you just know that nothing can part them as they are so perfect for each other – plus don’t forget the HEAT between them 😉 Another fantastic red hot romance by the fabulous Flora who seems determined to melt my kindle with her stories! I can’t wait for the next story! I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended

Baseball Mine: An Older Man Younger Woman Romance (A Man Who Knows What He Wants Book 80) by Flora Ferrari

Swoon Time With STEAM Heat!! Get Your Copy Now!

Oh MY! This is such a sweet romance – don’t get me wrong, this is a story by Flora Ferrari so we also have STEAM HEAT!!! Finn is Brynn’s older brother and she used to hang round with him and his best friend Bryce as much as they would let her whilst growing up even though they were nine years older than her. Brice is now a very successful baseball player which both he and Finn dreamed of being. Brynn has crushed on Bryce since she first ‘noticed’ boys so she has it bad for him. When she gets an opportunity to get some tickets to a game where he’ll be paying she can’t resist – even if it means having to go on a date with a creep from her office. But at the ballgame she notices him straight away and it seems that he noticed her too. When the ball flies towards her he seems to set his eyes on her even though he’s after the ball and shoves the jerk behind her from hurting her. And that, as they say, is the beginning of their HEA! Will Finn approve when he finds out that she’s got tickets from Brice to come to another game in New York? When Bryce sneaks out of his hotel in New York to be with her it is so romantic and sweet where he takes her. He is her first kiss and her first everything. Not everything is going to go smoothly but what a journey! Bryce is going to stay in your memory as one of Flora’s most romantic of romantic heroes so be prepared to swoon. Bridges and a candlelit boathouse are going to feature in your dreams from now on. I also loved the epilogues as they are so much fun to see how the future pans out for them. I love Flora’s stories but this must be the sweetest yet and I loved every second of it [pizza restaurant and Bryce marching in is probably one of the most satisfying scenes 😉 ]. Accidentally Met Her: An Accidental Marriage Romance by Lauren Wood

  AVOID

This is the latest story by Lauren Wood and unfortunately I thought the dialogue was very stiff and some parts of the story really either unbelievable or what a totally stupid ‘heroine’ Candy must be! It is not the book for me as I don’t like reading about cheating and this story is inundated with it. Colt and Candy met in a bar in Las Vegas where she is with her friend who is getting married. They marry each other but the next day he wakes up with her gone but her wedding ring not on her finger but on the bed. So she must realise she is married when she woke up and wondered why she had a wedding ring on her finger to then take it off surely? Wouldn’t a rational person with any intelligence realise that something had happened they should know about instead of just taking the ring off and fleeing and then claiming she knew nothing about it? But no..it’s supposedly only when she is at the altar marrying Jax that she ‘discovers’ that she is already married? Memory not very good perhaps? But then we have Colt, her husband a native of Las Vegas and solicitor there. He knows that he is married to her but has basically spent just about every night of over seven years committing adultery by having one night stands? He doesn’t always wear a condom so he must be riddled with disease. He then allegedly wants a real marriage with her? If he’d been that keen why wait seven years? Why sleep with thousands of other women if he thinks marriage is so important? Now some will say I’m being naive to think cheating doesn’t happen. Not true I know that it happens but I don’t like to read it glorified as, I’m so sorry to say, it is in this book. Spoiler alert – which I don’t normally do – but the ending just does not make sense with her solicitor doing what her mother says when Candy is supposed to be the client?? Is Candy a pushed around mouse? She doesn’t seem like it otherwise. I normally love Lauren’s stories but this one just did not work and seemed disjointed and as for Jax he obviously wans’t that upset that her divorce didn’t take place. Then there is the issue of grammar – it really needs to be gone over very carefully and have a major overhaul to correct all the mistakes.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Sorry just not for me as there are too many grammatical errors, too much cheating and the characters just don’t seem to be a couple apart from s@x. Really disappointed as I was looking forward to this book and hate leaving a negative review.

Tame Me: A Filthy Billionaire Romance by Cassandra Bloom and J.L. Beck

  A Fabulous Must Have Read!!!

Cassandra Bloom and J.L. Beck have composed a fabulous set of three stories here that are interconnected with each other.  We start with Maddy, self made billionaire and the youngest female in this category who is driven and has everything a person could want  – except someone to share it with.  She is called to see her mum who is dying and she hands her a wooden box with a name in it. The name of her father, Rick [we also get his story with Sophie] and that he lives in Nowhere, Arizona.  Maddy follows her mum’s dying wish to find her father and she keeps meeting Devon,  the man they call “Brave” the warrior,  whom she is really drawn towards. There is undoubtedly great chemistry between them but he also has secrets that could hurt her.  Then we meet Taylor who is like Maddy in so many ways except there is a cruel and selfish streak in him at times.  He also has everything that money can buy but he also wants Maddy but she is not interested in him at all which just makes him want her more. But he has an accident and his helped by Kami whom he went to school with – but he never noticed her!  What Maddy doesn’t realise is that he is Dev’s twin!  Will Maddy and Dev get their HEA as she is getting very suspicious as he keeps disappearing?  These three stories are so well written with fabulous characters [I even ended up liking Taylor] that I was drawn into their stories at the very beginning and was sitting on the edge of my seat till I’d finished reading their HEAs.  The dialogue was interesting and fun and so good that there was more than one story in the one book [just like real life!]  Cassandra Bloom and J.L. Beck are a terrific writing team and I look forward to reading many more of their stories. This book illustrates perfectly why they are top best selling authors! The Ice Cream Man (Korbel Classic Romance Humorous Series #1) by Eileen Dreyer and Kathleen Korbel

  A Wonderful Light Hearted Romance

There is drug dealing in the area and divorcee mum, Jenny, thinks it could be the gorgeous ice cream van man whose the chief suspect. Little does she realise that he is a cop and she is HIS chief suspect but he’s trying to prove that evidence wrong. Nick shouldn’t fall for this gorgeous woman with a houseful of kids. They’re not in their 20’s and both have ‘baggage’ but does it really matter in the end when there is that sizzling chemistry between them?  The dialogue is fast and witty and I loved the way they skirted around each other.  This is a light hearted, humourous romance that will keep me coming back for more from this fantastic author. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The Billionaire Affair: (A Billionaire Bad Boy Rom Com) by Ali Parker

FABULOUS! – a Must Have Read!

Jeremiah is the son of a repulsive billionaire and he meets Stephanie, Steph, at a nightclub that her friend ‘forces’ her to attend. He’s with his ‘tribe’ of friends [since school days]. She’s not his usual type but there is something about her that is like a magnet drawing him to her. Just when he thinks he’s going to get lucky she disappears much to his dismay and he watches her leaving in a taxi. But next day they meet again – with his vile father there who insults her repeatedly [well he does that throughout the book] when she goes for an interview for a job as Jeremiah’s secretary. His friend, Nick, is great and Steph would be happy to work for him but she is not impressed with Jeremiah at all. His last secretary, Jannie, is a deeply disturbed and his father sacked her [the only good thing he did in the story]. Despite his father he gives her the job [although she is more than qualified] and they have sparks sizzling between them the whole time. Things develop quickly and soon the embers in the fire are ignited and a few people are mad about it. This book is, in my opinion, Ali Parker’s best yet. I love her books normally but this went one step beyond. I loved his new ‘toy’ car but it made me gasp with what happened to it. I loved how his friends rallied round Steph and the scene were Jeremiah goes to see his father after being warned by Nick, should go down as one of the funniest scenes in the book – priceless! I had such a good laugh re-reading it as it was so good. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. To say that I just recommend this book is the understatement of the year. It is terrific with fabulous writing, a storyline that had me on the edge of my seat and so much chemistry between the two of them that you need a fa/ac to keep you cool. I would love to read Nick and the other’s HEA’s in the future as they are just too good not to do more with them.

One Night Stand by Sarah J. Brooks

  Definitely recommended! Pure Passion

Single and hunky dad, Logan, adores his 9 year old daughter, Erin and basically lives for her.  Since his crazed ex-wife, Samantha gave birth and dumped them both he’s been  the best dad he could possibly be.  But he’s lonely. He hasn’t dated in all those years although Ant , sibling, looks after Erin when necessary. Now Ant’s BFF is Nina and she’s moving into the same apartment building as Logan but Ant hasn’t told either of them.  Ant doesn’t think they will suit each other as Logan’s wary of women and Nina has always said that she didn’t like children and has just got out of a bad breakup.  But as she’s moving in, Nina notices gorgeous Logan and he notices her and likes what he sees so he approaches and offers to help her move in.  He is on the floor above and the chemistry between them is combustible!  With all this sizzling between them they ‘go with the flow’ and have a magical passionate encounter that ‘blows their minds’!  But he has to leave to pick up Erin. Nina, meanwhile, thinks he’s just leaving as he must be a player and using her for s@x. But as Nina comes to know Erin she realises that she actually does like children [well certainly this child] and that Logan isn’t the player Ant said he used to be. Ant, on the other hand, is not best pleased that they’ve met and then there is more drama when the vile ex-wife makes her presence felt!  What’s going to happen to Erin? Will Logan and Nina have a HEA?  Will Ant speak to Logan and Nina again? What’s going to happen to Samantha?  Written with great characters by Sarah J. Brooks who never fails to bring them to life before your very eyes as you read her stories.  Believable and empathetic so that I felt compelled to carry on reading till I’d finished the story in one go. This is a must have read and, I personally think, Sarah’s best book yet.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Possessive K-9 Cop (A Man Who Knows What He Wants #74) by Flora Ferrari

  He Can Arrest Me Anytime…

Kane is an older man and a great cop with the most fantastic police canine ever called Malia.  He rescued her when he was on holiday in Alaska – paid for her training the lot and she is as devoted to him as he is to her!  She is also possessive of him and doesn’t like any woman he brings round till he meets Quinn again.  Now he’s on a stakeout for a drug mule when he realises with Malia’s help , just in time, NOT to tazer the ‘suspect because it’s Quinn – his best friend’s little sister who isn’t so little any more. In fact, she’s grown up into the  most delectable and stunning young woman that he wants to wrap up and have for himself alone.  She’s wearing the same clothes as the suspect so she points them in the right direction and they catch the drug mule. But his captain is mad at him for not following orders and he is suspended! Unbelievable!  However, it does mean that he has time to pursue Quinn and make sure that she’s on board with being HIS forever. Her brother might have something to say about it but she’s more important.  Instant love and oh such a glorious read that only Flora Ferrari can give. She composes the most compelling stories of instant love around and makes her characters so likeable, loveable, realistic and fun in witty storylines that draw you in and keep me coming back for more. I loved this latest book and look forward to Flora’s next romantic adventures for us to enjoy!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.   A Great Fun Steamy Read – Definitely Recommended

Silk and Shadows (The Virgin Diaries Book 3) by Lauren Landish

   My Favourite Of Lauren’s Books

WARNING: STEAM HEAT

This is, without a doubt, my favourite story by Lauren Landish and will be one that I will be re-reading many times in the future. It made me laugh out loud.  It made me refuse to put it down due to the suspense. It was RED HOT with passion and, eventually, LOVE.  It had a few twists that made the storyline so much more compelling.  Zack seemed to be the arrogant typical football jock who was failing at the academic side of college when he needed extra help from a tutor but his coach wanted it kept quiet so  Norma [nerd, bratty young woman with oodles of confidence , at least on the surface, and excelling at English, who works for the college paper is asked to help]. Norma only does this to help promote her journalistic hopes for the future.  Zack turns up over an hour late for their first ‘date’ in the library and she is NOT impressed with him at all.  This is a welcome and delightful surprise for him as he thinks she is gorgeous but shy despite being a total brat to him. SO he calls her Brat. Their banter is HOT and great fun to read.  As time goers by you get to see their relationship changing as they get to know one another. if you are easily shocked – be prepared.  There is also plenty of humour with these two and they were just so well suited to each other despite  everything else.  But someone is out to get Zack and Norma gets in the way!  How will Zack react to someone hurting his Brat??  I thought the scene where Zack meets her brother, Liam, was a great piece of writing and had me laughing – especially when Liam went pale!  The team were wonderful with Norma and I loved that they even had a Norma Bratty manoeuvre for on the field.    I think that once you read this story, that like me you won’t want to put it down.  Book 1,  Satin and Pearls, was fantastic, Leather and Lace continued with Liam and Arianna and was brilliant but this book is my favourite of Lauren’s ever and I have very high hopes for Lauren’s next book!. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Marrying the Rock Star by B. B. Hamel

Twists & Turns Leading To Love

This book follows @Hating The Rock Star’ which I also loved by the best selling author, B.B. Hamel. May I just say how much I enjoyed reading how Grace and Joss from “Hating The Rock Star” were getting along in their own HEA.. I really do love when authors bring in previous beloved characters to enhance the new storyline – thank you B.B.!!  In this second book in the series we meet again, Chase, a member of Slide, the best selling rock band and he’s in trouble.  His reputation has been on the wild side and after a night with s supposed ‘fan’ his reputation is now virtually in ruin.  His manager is so mad that he’s told to get sorted quick or he will be out of the band.  Just then he gets a text from Delia. Now he knew Delia years ago and they were at school together. She had a crush on him but nothing ever came of it. She’s a talented musician but never got the break that he did.  She was asking for tickets to his concert and they meet up for coffee and a chat. Chase quickly realises how great to feels to be with someone he knows and genuinely likes and offers her a proposition – marry him to help him improve his reputation [it worked for Joss so why not him?] He also promises to help with her musical career too and she believes him and so agrees.  But all is not going to go smoothly!  This is a fabulous story by B.B. Hamel so there is so much more going on that will keep you engrossed in the storyline and not want to put it down till you’ve got right to the very end.  With twists and turns that could actually break them up just as they are starting to realise that the sizzling sparks between them are more than just lust – in fact, so very much more than sheer passion!  Delia lets her mouth get ‘out of control’ which causes problems too so can these two friends to lovers reach towards a HEA of their own?  To find out you’re going to have to settle yourself down, lock the door, switch off your phone and turn on the fan/ac as it’s going to get steamy!  Fantastic realistic characters that are 3-dimensional and I was certainly rooting for them getting their HEA.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED!!!
