Wait, You Did What? by T.A. Moorman

  Truth Or Dare?

T.A. Moorman is a new author to me.   There were times whilst reading the story that I did laugh out loud literally. There was humour in the book although since we’re from different cultures, I’m a Brit and the author is a US citizen that our senses of humour do not match.  I like the premise of the storyline where Justine’s brother is getting married in a two week rush when he meets the woman of his dreams and she and his best friend, Chase, will do all they can to make the wedding perfect for them. Unfortunately the dress has been sent to the entirely wrong place hundreds of miles away and as Justine is terrified of flying she goes on a road trip[ [talk about chauffeur and luxury Hummer]with Chase and they play Truth or Dare as he is determined to make her finally HIS as he’s been in love with her for years. Some things a bit contrived but were fun so who cares?  I did like the characters. Some careful editing needs to take place please. Satin and Pearls (The Virgin Diaries, #1) by Lauren Landish

  Teacher’s Pet!!

Oh boy!  I wish I’d had a maths professor like this when I was doing my maths degree – funny ones yes and ones who were perfect gentlemen and ones who were real whatsits as she says.  However,  Daisy is so lucky that her maths professor is gorgeous, handsome, fun, arrogant and she is absolutely in crazy lust/love with him even though he riles her too.  Meanwhile, Connor loves his job and found it to be very fulfilling and rewarding till Daisy stepped into his classroom.  He can’t stop thinking and lusting after her.  So brilliantly written by one of my favourite authors, Lauren Landish, and her writing in this illustrates beautifully why she is a US best selling author!  Great character development in this short story and as it was so good, despite that I received a reader’s copy of it,  I purchased my own copy as it was just so good!

Most definitely recommended – do what I did and get your own copy so that you can re-read it in the future!

First Time: My Best Friend’s Little Sister Romance by Lauren Wood

Lauren Wood has been a favourite author of mine for some time now as I love her relaxed writing style and the way she draws me into her great storylines.  One thing I just don’t like reading about in stories is cheating.  I’m afraid there are multiple examples of cheating throughout the book and this spoilt the story for me.  There didn’t need to be any cheating on Aria’s side if only she’d spoken to her long term boyfriend who wanted a more serious and permanent relationship with her – but she wanted to re-enlist!  But then  later, having met David whom she cheats with, she doesn’t want to re-enlist but go into fashion?  Not the strong willed and upright character that we are lead to believe that she is.If you can ignore pr don’t mind the cheating, then the story is interesting. Admittedly David is arrogant and hasn’t had the best of upbringing and he’s basically a womaniser and playboy who is suspicious of his best friend’s intentions which is sad.  I’m pleased to say that over the book I did come to really like David and Aria [ignoring the cheating]. Oh! Katherine by Mia Ford

  Oh YES!!!!!

Oh we have a treat here from Mia Ford. In her last book, “Love at First Sight”, we learned of Tamara and Logan’s HEA and met their best friends Alistair and Katherine. Now they supposedly hate each other. They give every indication that they do. The only place they do agree on everything that matters is between the sheets. But they try to keep this secret – well, a secret!!  But as time passes their feelings may change and develop.  To find out what happens with them you need to get a copy of this fun, fast paced read by Mia Ford, a US best selling author.  It is a real page turner with great characters and great hot and steamy scenes so have your fans/ac ready to switch on to max cool!  I read this in one go as it was so easy to read and enjoyable.  I do love that we had already met these two characters so they weren’t ‘new’ to us.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

DEFINITELY RECOMMENDED

Redemption Kindle Edition by Amy Brent

Will She Give Him A Second Chance ?

Lindsay loved Ben.  He supposedly loved her. But the first, and only, time that he is told by Chad [not a friend] that she cheated on him he just ups and leaves without giving her a chance to say what happened. He even blocked her from contacting him.  never to see him for over 6 years.  But now he’s back from the Navy SEALs with his best friend, Paul, also an ex SEAL and they’re building a business which will be aided by a therapist.  Paul encourages Ben to make contact with this person and can you imagine his shock when he finds out it is his Lindsay.  She hasn’t really moved on with her emotional life as she was so heartbroken by his treatment of her.  But the love is still there. But does he deserve a second chance?  He also has a surprise of his own called Jacob.  Can Lindsay forgive him for being so hurtful and immature?  Beautifully written by Amy Brent and I loved the build up as to why he just upped and left. Though his Mum is the one who really lets on the truth behind it all.  Great character development and depth of storyline. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Most Definitely Recommended.  I can’t wait for her next romantic adventure!

Doctor December by Flora Ferrari

  Definitely recommended! Pure Passion

Found left on the steps outside a hospital once December by another doctor, the baby is taken in and given the name Declan Dercember.  The man who found him also became a dad that night at that hospital and his son became Declan’s best friend when they turned five and m,et at school.  Best friend’s for life!  Declan poured his efforts into becoming the best doctor he could be and he loved his work with children.  one day he gets a phone call from his best friend saying could he help with his teenage daughter? Of course, Declan agreed and it is then that he met Bella as a woman rather than as his friend’s little girl.  Instant love flares between Bella and Declan and they try their best to keep it form her dad. But one over protective father is bound to see signs – now isn’t he!  Will Bella and Declan take the risk to act on their passions which could break her dad’s heart and break his friendship with Declan?  To find out if they get their HEA, you’re going to have to read this for yourself. But bearing in mind that the author is Flora Ferrari, you should realise that it is very well written, plenty of passion and she loves to deliver HEAs. But the ending in this book is wonderful and I love how far she ‘goes into the future’!!  Absolutely great. A fast paced read that is fun and entertaining. I am looking forward to her next book already! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Accidental Royal byGigi Thorne

   A Sexy Royal Romp!

The Gigi Thorne authors continue to keep me entertained in their fast paced, steamy and erotic reads. In this one Princess Charlotte meets Wes, who is no member of Royalty as far as anyone knows. he is but a humble carpenter and skilled worker who is transforming her bathroom. But when he sees her, he just KNOWS that she IS HIS! Getting her to come round to his way of thinking is easy as he is gorgeous and charismatic and as s@xy as can be. Princess Charlotte is no fool and she recognises in Wes everything that she wants in a man and he is ALL MAN. When her sister’s life is put in jeopardy and the throne, Wes could come to the rescue as he has knowledge that could save them. A unique storyline in so many ways and great fun to read which seems to be the format of the Gigi Thorne stories. Brilliant to read in one go and come back wanting more. No spoilers from me – but there is a surprise in store for Wes;) I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Great read – most definitely recommended!

Billion Dollar Man by Ali Parker

  A Brilliant Suspenseful Story!

I ‘discovered’ Ali Parker’s books last year and have been addicted to them ever since.  I love the way she weaves a story.  The way she develops her characters that are so believable and 3-dimensional. The way they pull at your heart strings and I always end up liking them [well apart from the obvious unpleasant ones ]. In this  book I loved Mila as the heroine. The hero was Ben, who is her brother’s best friend so obviously their love would break the ‘bro code’.  She had a crush on him as a child but nothing happened. He always wanted to be a firefighter but work in New York pulled him away. When his parents and ‘uncle’ die in suspicious circumstances he gets a chance to come back home and they reconnect.  Passions overtake them but then he feels that he ‘has to’ leave town to protect her.  Ben did annoy me at times because he need to be more assertive and not floundering in his thoughts. This is a longer story than normal but it was so full of what was going on that it didn’t seem long at all to me.  This is a real page turner and you won’t want to put it down.  W|ell worth purchasing so that I can re-read it whenever I want to do!  Most definitely recommended!

Caleb: A Gritty Bad Boy MC Romance (The Lost Breed MC Book 6) by Ali Parker, Weston Parker

Another Great Book In The Lost Breed Series!

This is the sixth book in The Lost Breed MC Series by Ali Parker and Weston Parker.  I have read and enjoyed each and every one of these stories and look forward to as many of them as they compose for us.  One of the things that I especially love about this series is the way characters that that I’ve met and loved in the various books keep ‘popping up’ in subsequent stories and it is so nice to ‘see’ how they are carrying on in their HEAs.  In this book about Caleb, we learn so much about him – who he really is and not just the outward appearance but what makes him who he is.  He has a heart of gold and does all he can to help those he cares about. One in particular being a single mum, Lauryn, who dances at the club where he provides security.   But with trouble from rival MC gangs and an abusive ex for Lauryn, Caleb is the man who is there for her and always will be if she will trust him.  I must confess that it took time for me to warm to Lauryn as her past decisions were very troubling to me but it certainly took Caleb to help her clear her vision of her past and future for herself and her son. I loved the interactions between the two of them, the chemistry between them that practically sizzles off the pages whenever they are together.  Hoping that this isn’t the last in the series and that Ali and Western will continue this series for us loyal fans, I will finish by saying that I am looking forward to reading book 7, hopefully, in the series.  It was well worth the purchase price and I really enjoyed this latest episode in the Series.
