Scorpio (Zodiac Killers Book 12) by W.L. Knightly

 A Nail Biting Episode That Is  A Must Have Read!

Oh heavens!!!  This series has driven me quietly mad over the year.  I NEVER, EVER read or even watch series lol  I hate cliffhangers but I only read these as they are so well written.  I am just about desperate to find out who Raven is now?? I have my suspicion and if it is then OM Gosh!I love puzzles and this has been one fabulous puzzle conjured up for us by the best selling authors, Ali Parker and Lexy Timms, writing as W.L. Knightly.  Over the months we have been taken through different scenarios and characters that have been so well developed and so many secrets and have been kept engrossed in the stories. I do not think you could read this book as a standalone as you really do need the information from the others to understand fully what is going on and in trying to solve the problem for yourself.  Brilliantly composed that I am still on the edge of my seat after all these months and I’m more excited to find out all who were in on the murders than I was at the beginning.  The twists and turns are perfectly balanced. I confess that once we have the final book that I will be re-reading them all one after the other to enjoy them again.  Anxiously waiting to see if I’ve reached the correct conclusion about raven’s identity in the next book!!!  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  Most definitely recommended!!

Billionaire Crave: A Billionaire Romance by Lauren Wood

  So Much Potential

This is the latest story by Lauren Wood who has been one of my favourite authors for a while now.  The story surrounds a billionaire called Red Dyson who is a rather mysterious man with some very ‘dodgey’ dealings.  I wasn’t too happy that he went to buy a gun from an awful man called Goff or Golf or Gulf depending what part of the book you were reading.  he’s so vile that he’s kidnapped a young woman called Kristan from England and brought her to the USA [how did they get through customs??] thinking that she is Red’s sister Anna by mistake.  When Red sees her he is attracted to her and agrees to pay the ‘ransom’ as he wants her in his bed. He makes her work for him to pay off her ransom debt!!!!She’s attracted to him and agrees and has to go everywhere with him – including sharing his home where they fall into bed together. But Red only beds a woman once and then discards her. But he doesn’t with her.  There was so much potential here – ignoring the typo errors.  I know this is fiction but really to develop the characters for this storyline I feel it needed to be much longer – particularly for Red’s character as he had so much to alter in his personality that with his ‘instant’ changes came across as false. If he had been a decent and honorable man he would have immediately taken Kristan to the authorities to repatriate her and help her through her trauma – NOT blackmail her into paying off her ransom debt. I know there is supposed to be an instant attraction between them but even so he could still have made a connection with her whilst trying to help her through her ordeal legally.  This is all at the beginning of the book and I’m not giving anything away that happens at the end you’re going to have to read it for yourself to find out what happens to everyone. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Still Not Into You: An Enemies to Lovers Romance by Nicole Snow

  A Brilliant Suspenseful Story That Is A Must Have Read!

When Landon’s employee the tiny pixie, Sky, needs help as her niece has been kidnapped and now she is in danger he gets his old military friend, Gabe, a mountain of a man with a sexy drawl and come to bed eyes, to protect her. Now Sky doesn’t think that she needs protecting at all and certainly not by HIM! But the chemistry between them can’t be denied no matter how hard she tries to ignore it. Gabe now has a mission and purpose, the first since he left the military, that he is going to give his all as he wants Sky. Sky is someone and something he didn’t expect to find- LOVE and now that he’s found her, he is n’t going to let her go. His seduction techniques will have you reaching to switch on your fan/ac to set to MAX COOL as the temperature certainly rises when these two gorgeous people get together. I must add that they are both extremely likeable too and the storyline by Nicole Snow drew me into the story right away and kept me there till the last page. This is a real page turner that you won’t want to miss. It is also a book that as I enjoyed it so much, that I will be re-reading in the future to enjoy again. Cop’s Caribbean Captive (A Man Who Knows What He Wants Book 81) by Flora Ferrari

  Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT – Get Your Copy Now!

Well this was a great way to start the weekend with – a Flora Ferrari older man/younger woman romance! And this one is really different as Lucas, our HOT cop and very hunky hero, used to babysit Lia, our feisty beautiful young heroine, when she was tiny! He’s back from New York where he lives and works to have time with his best friend, her dad, and family. But her parents are kidnapped by Cuban criminals and they’re after her too now. Obviously Lucas is going to save and protect her as he’s already decided that she is HIS and no one at all is going to come near her. But can he save her parents too? The sparks coming off Lucas and Lia were dangerous for my Kindle as I read this steamy romance that had me on the edge of my seat as well as reaching to switch on the fan to MAX COOL. Whew! When Lucas and Lia get together you just know that nothing can part them as they are so perfect for each other – plus don’t forget the HEAT between them 😉 Another fantastic red hot romance by the fabulous Flora who seems determined to melt my kindle with her stories! Saving Emma by R.R. Banks

  Magnificent – Film Rights??

When is R.R. Banks going to have his books submitted to be turned into films??  This is yet another that I would go to see!  This is so much more than any mere romance.  We have an addict recovering from his injuries that stopped his football career and changed his life forever more.  Brice turned his life around and invested wisely and turned himself intro a very successful businessman.  When he hears that his best friend’s dad has died, who helped him as a young boy/man to  get into professional football, he knows that he must support his friend and show his respect to the man who was so important to him.  Whilst there he also sees Emma, his best friend’s younger sister who has now blossomed in every way his x-rated mind could possibly imagine but she looks at him with almost hate in her eyes which confounds him.|Emma had crushed on Brice from afar whilst young [way too young for him at the time] but now the age difference is meaningless and he’s even more gorgeous than ever. But he never came back and she feels so betrayed.  meanwhile she has lost her job and is in dire straights and when Brice hears about it [all the while her using her nickname for him which is ‘a@@hole’!  He plays hero to her when her abusive ex attacks her and she tends to Brice’s wounds at home. This is when the story really heats up. This is a Book by R.R. Banks  so when I say heat – I mean HEAT as in scalding!  There is certainly plenty of passion between them but she immediately regrets it. But Brice wants more. He’s never felt this way about any woman before but she won’t give him a chance so he’s obviously going to have to be sneaky to get a second chance with her…and he knows exactly what he’s going to do!  Brice is no fool  but he’s  a man on a mission and that’s to see if there is any chance of something being very real between him and Emma. He’s got the money to make things happen so he can solve her employment issue and help his business acumen simultaneously.  But Emma has a real ‘story’ that her previous editor wouldn’t touch. But her fabulous new editor is a woman of vision and she thinks Emma is worth the risk so encourages her. But it’s not long before threats are received.  With kidnapping, new passions, real love, mystery, more murders and a creepy break in.  Who is behind these murders?  Is Emma too close to the truth? Can Brice win her love and keep her safe??  If there is one book that you buy this year – this must be it!!!!!  Magnificent.  This book illustrates perfectly why R.R. Protecting Abigail by R.R. Banks

  A Superb Must Have Read!

R.R. Bank’s writing just exceeds my expectations every time. I love reading his stories and he is a terrific author which is why he is a best selling US author. His storylines in the last year have developed into something so much more than ‘just a story’. I can practically ‘see’ the action happening as I read as his descriptions are so vivid and his characters so believable and lifelike. In this book we meet Abigail who has found the courage to leave her abusive ex and with her brother, Evan’s, support she is starting afresh. In this new life she meets Xavier and his daughter Anna who is such a sweet little girl, whose mother died tragically. It was wonderful to see Abigail gaining confidence and beginning to enjoy her life and forming new friendships and how Xavier lowers his guard and opens his heart which he has closed off to everyone but Anna since her mum died. As his feelings for Abigail grow and are reciprocated, how will they react when mysterious things start happening to her? Will she be able to continue as a teacher? Will their growing feelings be able to grow under these worrying conditions? Such a well thought out and beautifully written story that had me on the edge of my seat. R.R. banks certainly pulled out surprises for me in this latest book and I lost sleep so that I could find out ‘what happened next’! Well worth it. This is a fabulous example of why his writing is so popular and , if you haven’t read any of his books before, [where have you been ??] than this is the perfect book to get you addicted to his stories. One Night Bride by Sarah J. Brooks

   Unexpected Marriage

Arcadia is in Las Vegas on a dad- daughter holiday but, of course, he’s not turned up to meet her for dinner nor bought the tickets to see the show that he’s promised her. So this feisty 29 year old young woman goes to play in the casino and it there that she attracts the attention of billionaire playboy Xavier Dean who is on a stag do weekend for his friend and got bored. When he sets eyes on Arcadia, he and all the other males in the room are focused entirely on her.  He’s just looking for a one night stand but she’s no push over and he has to use all his charm to even get her to have a drink with him.  Whilst there is sizzling attraction between the two of them that is almost combustible she refuses to just go to bed with him.  In fact, she gets him to do somethings that he has never done before! One of them being getting a tattoo of her name in a pretty font on his bicep whilst she gets one on her ankle [because he refuses to let the touchy tattoo artist touch her thigh] with an adorable dolphin which is close to her heart and her masters degree.  One thing leads to another and with too much drink in both of them, they end up getting married to each other but they both think it’s just for the one night!  But things always don’t go as planned and soon they find themselves in hiding and still happily married to each other.  I’m not giving any spoilers as this is way too good a story told by Sarah J. Brooks in her inimitable way which shows why she is one of the USA’s top best selling authors.  Beautifully written and prepare to fall in love with Xavier [don’t call him X] and Arcadia and let the bad guys get their just ‘reward’.  A wonderful story that I will be re-reading in the future as it is just so good and a fantastic unique storyline. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.  Get your own copy now – definitely recommended!!

This is a superb collection of paranormal stories by the best selling author, Vella Day. If you haven’t read any paranormal stories and have a good imagination then I would certainly recommend this set to you.  They are all very well written with fantastic storylines that give you a rich flavour of what the paranormal genre is partly about.  The four stories included are :-

But she is their Fated Mate so no other will do. They just have to persuade her.  All these books are the first i a series so give you a great insight as to what to expect. All very well written, full of intrigue, passion, mystery, secrets and love.    I have read all of the pack war series and loved it very much.  The Hidden Hills Shifters are my second favourite and will sweep you away on their secrets and passion too.  I always look forward to Vella’s stories and I hope this may entice some of you to try her books too.  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Spy for Hire by Cat Johnson [including Billionaire For Hire]

  James Bond – Move Aside!

Spy for Hire is a full length romance novel, part of the For Hire Series, a loose spin-off of Cat Johnson’s Hot SEALs series with appearances by favorite characters.   Forget MI6, all Tristan cares about is Chelsea who is Zane’s [yes THAT Zane from the previous book] right hand ‘man’ has gone missing and Tristan and all the others are desperate to find her safe and sound. But this is when Tristan realises just how deep his feelings for her truly are!  Sizzling chemistry between the two of them and it is great to reconnect with characters from previous books by Cat Johnson that are so well written, and just keep making me come back for more.  I’m really looking forward to the next book in the series.  I received a free copy of  in this page turning book that you won’t want to put down this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. The Truth (The Butler Ranch #5) by Heather Slade

  A Wonderful Suspenseful Drama

As you can see from the above there have been changes in the cover and the actual title of this latest story by Heather Slade.  No matter what the title or cover, it is one excellent story that will keep you absorbed in it form page one to the very last and want you needing more of her stories to read.  This is the fifth book in the Butler Ranch Series and focuses on Mercer, ex-Marine and gorgeous alpha male, and Quinn, his partner Kade’s daughter.  Kade has been apparently kidnapped and he set things up so that if anything happened to him mercer and his other buddies form the marines would look out for his ex wife and Quinn.  Mercer has been keeping watch over Quinn for years now and has started to fall in love with her.  When danger becomes apparent, will mercer come to Quinn’s rescue and what about Kade?  Proximity between these two certainly raises the temperature in the room when I was reading the story. With plenty of suspense, drama, danger and love developing make sure your fans/air con are set to max cool and that you switch off your phone and enjoy!!  Beautifully written with well developed characters and a fascinating storyline.  I’m looking forward to heather’s next book.
