Stand By Your Man: A Bad Boy Rancher Love Story (The Dawson Brothers Book 5) by Ali Parker

  Be-still My Beating Heart…

This is the fifth in The Dawson Brother’s Series by the Best Selling Author, Ali Parker.  I ‘discovered’ Ali’s books in 2017 and have read each and every one since.  Her writing style is relaxed and draws me into her fabulous storylines. Her descriptions  bring the characters to life and it was a pleasure to ‘meet’ Tanner and Maddison.  She’s a college graduate and is back in Texas to help at the college when she hears about farms having their crops deliberately poisoned she wants to help.  This is when she meets the gorgeous Tanner Dawson who does not consider himself a romantic. Well, that was, until he met HER!  Oh steam heat.  Their banter is witty and the  chemistry between them sizzles deliciously throughout the book.  It was also wonderful to catch up with characters that I’d ‘met’ in previous books.  Both realistic, steamy, romantic ,  mysterious and humourous.  All the ingredients that make this another must have read from Ali.  I received a reader’s copy of this story and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

  Definitely recommended! Pure Passion

Ana and Tyler were high school sweethearts.. But all he sees when he notices Ana is a beautiful young woman that he wants to get to know and be his. They start going out together and he gets a place at Harvard to study law which has been one of his dream goals in life. But Ana has just found out that she’s pregnant with his child and daren’t tell him otherwise he’d put off chasing his dream and would resent her. So they fight and he leaves. She gives birth to a gorgeous little baby boy called Brody and it’s not till eight years have passed before Tyler comes back to LA to start his own firm and to try and see Ana! How is he going to feel that he has a son that he knew nothing about? Will he feel betrayed by Ana? Will he even believe that Brody? Amy Brent has composed another bets selling, romantic story that you will want to re-read in the future as it is just so good. With passion off the charts and mystery and bruised feelings can this couple, with their son, have a HEA? To find out you’re going to have to get yourself a copy of Amy’s latest books and read it for yourself. It is a real page turner, easy to read, that is filled with such wonderful descriptions of the characters that I can almost ‘see’ them in my mind’s eye and, of course, a fun romantic steamy read. Saving Emma by R.R. Banks

  Magnificent – Film Rights??

When is R.R. Banks going to have his books submitted to be turned into films??  This is yet another that I would go to see!  This is so much more than any mere romance.  We have an addict recovering from his injuries that stopped his football career and changed his life forever more.  Brice turned his life around and invested wisely and turned himself intro a very successful businessman.  When he hears that his best friend’s dad has died, who helped him as a young boy/man to  get into professional football, he knows that he must support his friend and show his respect to the man who was so important to him.  Whilst there he also sees Emma, his best friend’s younger sister who has now blossomed in every way his x-rated mind could possibly imagine but she looks at him with almost hate in her eyes which confounds him.|Emma had crushed on Brice from afar whilst young [way too young for him at the time] but now the age difference is meaningless and he’s even more gorgeous than ever. But he never came back and she feels so betrayed.  meanwhile she has lost her job and is in dire straights and when Brice hears about it [all the while her using her nickname for him which is ‘a@@hole’!  He plays hero to her when her abusive ex attacks her and she tends to Brice’s wounds at home. This is when the story really heats up. This is a Book by R.R. Banks  so when I say heat – I mean HEAT as in scalding!  There is certainly plenty of passion between them but she immediately regrets it. But Brice wants more. He’s never felt this way about any woman before but she won’t give him a chance so he’s obviously going to have to be sneaky to get a second chance with her…and he knows exactly what he’s going to do!  Brice is no fool  but he’s  a man on a mission and that’s to see if there is any chance of something being very real between him and Emma. He’s got the money to make things happen so he can solve her employment issue and help his business acumen simultaneously.  But Emma has a real ‘story’ that her previous editor wouldn’t touch. But her fabulous new editor is a woman of vision and she thinks Emma is worth the risk so encourages her. But it’s not long before threats are received.  With kidnapping, new passions, real love, mystery, more murders and a creepy break in.  Who is behind these murders?  Is Emma too close to the truth? Can Brice win her love and keep her safe??  If there is one book that you buy this year – this must be it!!!!!  Magnificent.  This book illustrates perfectly why R.R. Banks is one of the USA’s best selling authors.  I received a reader’s copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  Magnificent – Definitely Recommended

Blue Collar Billionaire by Flora Ferrari

  We All Need  A Beau

When you’ve got a problem in your house – send for Beau. He’s a stud muffin and gorgeous and he can fix anything in your home [from fixing a pipe to making anything you need from repairing a settee to putting up shelves.  He was shell shocked when his best friend’s ‘little girl’ came to him for advice about going into architecture school as he was a billionaire in the construction industry.  But when she gets into college and has a problem with her rented flat her dad calls him for help and Beau is more than ready to be her hero.  Ariella, meanwhile, has lusted and loved Beau for years but never thought he would even look at her in a romantic way. He wants him to be her first and last and when they spend time together it’s obvious that they are both ‘feeling the instalove’!  And what a romantic – taking her to swim in an amazing swimming pool and then to probably the most glorious hotel suite in the world where he lavishes her with everything she could possibly want – including him.  This older man /younger woman romance is full of passionate emotions and some angst when her dad finds out what they’ve been up to.  I must confess that even I was a bit surprised when she opened the door to see him in his tux and the surprise he had for her.  This latest story by Flora Ferrari is everything that I’ve come to expect from one of her fast paced, instalove romances.  Great characters and I was interested in the architectural quotes.  A lovely easy read and I just wish we all knew a ‘handy man’ like Beau. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Definitely recommended

Rush: A Reverse Harem Romance by Lane Hart

  A Great Steamy Romance

When Graham, college football star, gets a warning that if his grades don’t improve he will be out, he is shocked. So he gets in touch with Skyler, Sky, who was his nerdy friend from high school who used to tutor him for help. Now Sky has had a major crush on him for years and is more than willing to go and stay with him and his two room mates, Ty and Charlie, over the summer. Ty and Charlie are gorgeous, sweet caring, handsome, beyond friendly and make her feel so wanted that her quiet reserve drops round them. But they know what Graham is like with women and make him keep clear of her – they genuinely care for her and don’t want her heart crushed by him. Lane Hart has really given us a brilliant example here of her at her best. There is plenty of heat and surprises in this storyline that will keep you riveted to the book from first to last page. My favourites in the story were Charlie and Ty and, after you’ve read it for yourself, I think you will understand why! This is a fun, steamy read that I really enjoyed and hope that you will too. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. HOWEVER,  as I enjoyed the book so much I purchased my own copy so that I could support the author and be able to re-read it in the future. Definitely recommended

Stepbrother Trouble: A Taboo Stepbrother Romance (Sexy as hell Book 2) by Nicky Harmony

Secrets & Growing Feelings For Her Stepbrother

Lucy has been kicked out of college and she’s keeping it a secret from her and her stepfather and stepbrothers – in fact, she has to go to court because of the incident! So life is not looking good for her at all. Of her two stepbrothers Josh is the good, dependable one and she needs to try and project a good impression to her mum after what has happened so she hangs around with him. Daniel, on the other hand, is the bad boy and dare devil of the two and has an awful ex girlfriend who keeps cropping up – unfortunately. The twins have a party of their dad’s yacht and Daniel invites Lucy but she plays safe and goes with Josh to keep out of trouble – even though she is very attracted to Daniel. He dares her to jump off the yacht like the others and she does and swims to shore and this is when Daniel follows her and they share an unforgettable kiss. I did enjoy this short story and because it was a short tale some points didn’t seem to make sense [the sudden unrequited love] and some timings were just ‘off’. However, I didn’t let that detract from the fact that it was an entertaining read – just ‘go with the flow’ – it’s fiction. I must confess that I was concerned about what had happened at college for her to be kicked out [as certainly here in the UK it is rather extreme to be kicked out of university and then to end up in court is virtually unheard of – I can only think of a murder case but the US must be different in their college rulings]. Anyway, I liked the characters [well obviously not Daniel’s ex] but they were realistic, mostly, and it was a fun read. I also look forward to reading more of Nicky Harmony’s stories. Possessive Canadian by Flora Ferrari

  More Than A Holiday Affair?

The temperature’s rising… especially when Cameron sets his sight on Camila. She’s on holiday in Whistler, Canada [I’ve been there and loved it – just such a beautiful place to visit] and she spots this handsome older man and can sense that he’s interested in her. He is also very possessive and she likes the feelings this give her.  He’s so much MAN rather than a mere boy.  This young woman knows what she wants and it’s him. But what happens when the holiday ends? Are they just going to say goodbye?  If so, her heart is going to break.  I love Flora Ferrari’s instalove stories.  They are full of passion, wit, fun and plenty of heat and no cheating [which I loathe] and, of course, a HEA.  A real fast paced read which is great to while away a couple of hours.  Definitely a feel good factor about this book. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Headmaster Navy SEAL: An OMYM Domestic Discipline BBW Romance by Mia Luxe

Oh Boy! This Is SO Much FUN! A Must Have Read.

Tanner runs a school for troubled rich kids and he is the headmaster there. He is an ex Navy SEAL and runs it with precision and discipline and is very successful. When his best friend sends his truculent daughter, Emma Jones, to be ‘sorted out’ Tanner knows that he is in trouble with a capital T when he sees her curvy, sensuous body that he craves to touch all over. She has certainly grown up, in all the best ways possible, since he last saw her and he also knows that she is going to be his. Forget that there is a significant age gap between them. Forget that she is his best friend’s daughter. She is HIS! STEAM heat blazes from the pages of this book and you will need to invest in a great fan/ac as you’ll need it with the sizzling chemistry between these two . Mia Luxe has really composed for us, her grateful readers, a rip roaring roller coaster of a storyline with a no nonsense hero and a feisty heroine who generate temperatures with their passion that the Sun would be impressed with. I do encourage you to get a copy and enjoy the journey of their HEA as this is a real page turner and one that you won’t want to put down. The two main protagonists are so well suited for each other and it certainly makes me want to read more of Mia’s books.

A Better Man by Jenny Plumb

  A great read !

Jenny Plumb is a new author to me, but if this is an example of her her writing then I will be looking for more of her books. It was the usual western story that I’ve read previously but had so much more depth to it. Emma maybe lonely but she had a dreadful life before her husband died as he was so abusive. But when George arrives on the scene, wounded and needing help, she knows that she can’t turn him away even though it will undoubtedly bring danger to her life and moral outrage from the town’s community if he stays at her house whilst wounded.

Blazing Hot (Californian Wildfire Fighters #2) by Leslie North

  A Great Read

Feeling HOT, HOT, HOT!!  Holy firefighters!  Landon and his fellow firefighters are definitely swoon worthy and they do all they can to save everyone and everything. Alexandra is a widow whose cop husband was caught in gun fire and died. She was heartbroken and couldn’t bear to go through that grief again for any man. But, that is, until she meets Landon.  He wasn’t expecting to feel the chemistry when he meets Alex who treats him when he is injured in the line of duty.  I’ve read and enjoyed many of Leslie North’s other stories and I intend to get myself a copy of book 1 of the Californian Wildfire Fighters and book 3 as I thought this one was so good. Well written, as always, plenty of action, great characters and red hot sizzling steam heat between Landon and Alex.  A real page turner that I encourage you to try too. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
