Stand By Your Man: A Bad Boy Rancher Love Story (The Dawson Brothers Book 5) by Ali Parker

  Be-still My Beating Heart…

This is the fifth in The Dawson Brother’s Series by the Best Selling Author, Ali Parker.  I ‘discovered’ Ali’s books in 2017 and have read each and every one since.  Her writing style is relaxed and draws me into her fabulous storylines. Her descriptions  bring the characters to life and it was a pleasure to ‘meet’ Tanner and Maddison.  She’s a college graduate and is back in Texas to help at the college when she hears about farms having their crops deliberately poisoned she wants to help.  This is when she meets the gorgeous Tanner Dawson who does not consider himself a romantic. Well, that was, until he met HER!  Oh steam heat.  Their banter is witty and the  chemistry between them sizzles deliciously throughout the book.  It was also wonderful to catch up with characters that I’d ‘met’ in previous books.  Both realistic, steamy, romantic ,  mysterious and humourous.  All the ingredients that make this another must have read from Ali.  I received a reader’s copy of this story and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Blue Collar Billionaire by Flora Ferrari

  We All Need  A Beau

When you’ve got a problem in your house – send for Beau. He’s a stud muffin and gorgeous and he can fix anything in your home [from fixing a pipe to making anything you need from repairing a settee to putting up shelves.  He was shell shocked when his best friend’s ‘little girl’ came to him for advice about going into architecture school as he was a billionaire in the construction industry.  But when she gets into college and has a problem with her rented flat her dad calls him for help and Beau is more than ready to be her hero.  Ariella, meanwhile, has lusted and loved Beau for years but never thought he would even look at her in a romantic way. He wants him to be her first and last and when they spend time together it’s obvious that they are both ‘feeling the instalove’!  And what a romantic – taking her to swim in an amazing swimming pool and then to probably the most glorious hotel suite in the world where he lavishes her with everything she could possibly want – including him.  This older man /younger woman romance is full of passionate emotions and some angst when her dad finds out what they’ve been up to.  I must confess that even I was a bit surprised when she opened the door to see him in his tux and the surprise he had for her.  This latest story by Flora Ferrari is everything that I’ve come to expect from one of her fast paced, instalove romances.  Great characters and I was interested in the architectural quotes.  A lovely easy read and I just wish we all knew a ‘handy man’ like Beau. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Definitely recommended

Headmaster Navy SEAL: An OMYM Domestic Discipline BBW Romance by Mia Luxe

  Oh Boy! This Is SO Much FUN! A Must Have Read.

Tanner runs a school for troubled rich kids and he is the headmaster there. He is an ex Navy SEAL and runs it with precision and discipline and is very successful. When his best friend sends his truculent daughter, Emma Jones, to be ‘sorted out’ Tanner knows that he is in trouble with a capital T when he sees her curvy, sensuous body that he craves to touch all over. She has certainly grown up, in all the best ways possible, since he last saw her and he also knows that she is going to be his. Forget that there is a significant age gap between them. Forget that she is his best friend’s daughter. She is HIS! STEAM heat blazes from the pages of this book and you will need to invest in a great fan/ac as you’ll need it with the sizzling chemistry between these two . Mia Luxe has really composed for us, her grateful readers, a rip roaring roller coaster of a storyline with a no nonsense hero and a feisty heroine who generate temperatures with their passion that the Sun would be impressed with. I do encourage you to get a copy and enjoy the journey of their HEA as this is a real page turner and one that you won’t want to put down. The two main protagonists are so well suited for each other and it certainly makes me want to read more of Mia’s books.

Wait, You Did What? by T.A. Moorman

  Truth Or Dare?

T.A. Moorman is a new author to me.   There were times whilst reading the story that I did laugh out loud literally. There was humour in the book although since we’re from different cultures, I’m a Brit and the author is a US citizen that our senses of humour do not match.  I like the premise of the storyline where Justine’s brother is getting married in a two week rush when he meets the woman of his dreams and she and his best friend, Chase, will do all they can to make the wedding perfect for them. Unfortunately the dress has been sent to the entirely wrong place hundreds of miles away and as Justine is terrified of flying she goes on a road trip[ [talk about chauffeur and luxury Hummer]with Chase and they play Truth or Dare as he is determined to make her finally HIS as he’s been in love with her for years. Some things a bit contrived but were fun so who cares?  I did like the characters. Some careful editing needs to take place please. Football Next Door by Flora Ferrari

  She’s His ONE & Only

Flora Ferrari has done it again and composed a delicious older man/ younger woman instant love romance.   When Thea , a young woman working in LA for an agency, comes home from work one Sunday laden with work files, she drops them when she trips over a football in the hallway outside her apartment. When she returns it to it’s rightful owner, Brady, who is the star quarter back for the local football team, he recognisers that she is The One for him! In fact, he makes it his mission to see her as often as he can and she doesn’t mind in the slightest.  When she goes to a game and he isn’t playing as well as expected the fans seem to blame her but she shows them, and him, exactly who she is cheering for and whose woman she is!  A great read hot, instant love story. Brady does everything he can to show her that she is everything to him and sweeps her off her feet, literally, and is a real romantic hero!  Steam heat and beautifully written.  I look forward to reading her next book as much as I did this one :). I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

   Love At Second Sight

Callie was getting over a break up and went to a club one night. There she met Teddy. Tall and gorgeous and oh so s@xy!  They had a night of red hot passion and said good bye.  Five years later her parents die and she is introduced to a brother, David, whom she knew nothing about before.  So the two are to run their dad’s business together and all is going well until he brings in his best friend, Ted, to be second in command whilst he ran the factory and Callie ran the office. Guess who Ted is?  No he’s not Ted – he’s TEDDY!!!!!  They’ve  both thought of each other over the years and this is their chance to get to know each other even better.  I really loved Teddy as he was such fun and yet so sensible, mature, caring and knew what he was doing.  Callie is a great character but I don’t know why she puts up with David’s bully-boy childish attitude. If I found out that I had a brother like that he would still have to be respectful and not domineering and rude just for the sake of it.  As you can tell – I do not like David at all – he seemed okay at first but just slowly deteriorated in my mind.  As you probably also can tell, I did enjoy this story very much as it was generally very well written [a few typos]  and a fantastic storyline!  Lauren Woods  has pulled out all the stops to give us this great book and I look forward to even more from this USA top best selling author!I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.  Get your own copy now – definitely recommended!!

  Intrigue & Romance at Chance Creek

When my husband bought me my first Kindle in 2012, I came across a book by Cora Seton [a brand new author to me at the time] called, The Cowboy’s E-Mail Order Bride (Cowboys of Chance Creek), and I was hooked completely.  I have, subsequently bought and read each and every one of her stories available in the UK and I will be reviewing them to try to encourage others to enjoy them too.  This is book 5 of The Brides of Chance Creek and it can very easily be read as a standalone as well as part of this series and others of her stories that are set in Chance Creek.  Jack’s career is set as an army intelligence operative and his orders are to go to Chance Creek and marry Alice Reed, the General’s daughter.  She had seen her four sisters get married but never saw him sending a man for her to marry!  But Jack also has a mission to complete and that is to stop a drug cartel from getting a place in Chance Creek.  Now as I’ve bought and read all the previous copies I have already ‘met’ Alice and so I knew that it would have to be some very special man to be her match in marriage and Jack fits the bill perfectly.  If you like adventure, family there to help out and offering support, a great adventurous storyline with magnificent characters that are so well described by Cora that it is almost as if I ‘know’ them as they are so believable.  get yourself a copy and ‘meet’ Jack and Alice and all their friends and family and experience with them their journey to their HEA.  I LOVED this book and look forward to A Seal’s Resolve [ SEALs of Chance Creek book 6].  In case you haven’t already realised, Cora Seton is none of my all time favourite authors.

A Howling Success: Love Spells (Jezibaba Saga Book 3) by Donna McDonald

  Keeping The Alpha Strong

This is book three of the Jezibaba Saga by Donna McDonald that will have you turning page after page enjoying the romance between two of the characters [Moona and Jared]. He is the alpha of the local werewolf pack and she is a werewolf healer as well as a wolf shifter BUT she just can’t seem to shift.  Jared has loved her for a long time and she longs to be his mate but it would weaken his position as alpha if his mate couldn’t shift too. What is Moona to do??  You’re going to experience love, loyalty, romance, laughter, deceit, just plain meanness, spite and intrigue!  In other words, with the splendid writing and storyline too – this is the perfect book to entertain and bewitch you.  I really enjoyed this latest book by Donna – just as I’ve enjoyed the rest of the series and I encourage you to read the others in the series too.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.   Definitely recommended!

  A Marriage They Both Want!

Jace was a bad boy that was ‘oh so good’ -if you know what I mean!  He and Piper had dated when they were younger but nothing came out of it.  He got into TV but his life wasn’t in the right place and he overdosed, lost his job and ended up in rehab.  He’s now clean and determined not to mess up ever again.  On his new show, his producer is none other than Piper and he’s not going to let her slip through his fingers again. Now they are working in Vegas on the travel show and thanks to a ‘friend’, Eric, they end up married to each other and Jace is doing everything he can to make sure it is there one and only and a HEA!  B.B. Hamel has delivered to us a fabulous story that illustrates beautifully why she is such a best selling author around the world.  Her storylines are just that bit different with some great twists [think the prank], gorgeous characters [think Jace – oh my], feisty, strong females [think Piper] and the way they react towards each other. Such sizzling chemistry that kept me transfixed to the book as it is a real page turner and really entertaining.  Having enjoyed this so much, I am now waiting, impatiently for B.B.’s next romantic adventure! I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion o fit here. Lexi Whitlow is an exceptional author and so, of course, one of the USA’s top best selling authors.  In this book, Lexi has composed a delicious storyline for us that is most definitely unique! Our heroine, Sarah, was Amish born and bred but it wasn’t for her and so she rebelled, left and set up her own business with three friends.  PinkBook is an online community for women.  |When Sarah’s parents come to visit she realises that she needs help and quick – she needs a fake fiancée and she finds just the man to play the part at a bar.  he says his name is Ben and what she doesn’t know is that his name is Justin, he’s a billionaire and doesn’t do relationships. The meeting goes so well and the chemistry between them is combustible.  But how will Sarah feel when she discovers all his lies? Will they stand a chance of a real relationship?  Wonderful characters that are so lifelike that it is almost as if they are ‘real’ and the writing flowed so well that I just couldn’t put the story down.  It’s so good that I will be re-reading this story in the future.  Get yourself a copy and enjoy!  I look forward to reading Lexi’s next book. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
