Valentine’s: Dragon Style (The Sanguenna Chronicles Book 2) by Serena Akeroyd

   The Dragon’s Courting His Mate

Lara is a vampire and a feisty one at that!  She takes no prisoners and there is a secret that she doesn’t know yet!  Namely that her fated mate is a Dragon and he’s been causing trouble for centuries – so their love life isn’t going to be smooth!  I would also warn anyone from upsetting her.  Georgios, her mate, is such fun to read about.  Serena Akeroyd has created such a wonderful person in him.  He really is one of the good guys and is so caring but he has  a back load of things that he is shouldering and non of it is his! He desperately wants to be with his mate but there is too much stopping them. These are two great characters that made me laugh out loud. The banter is great and as they travel through this book you get to know them even better and it is one full of twist that make it so interesting and entertaining.  I look forward to the next book in the series!! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bad Boy (Blue Collar Bachelors #3) by Cassie-Ann L. Miller

    From Enemies To Lovers

Oh boy he just had to come into town and set up his barber shop right next to my bakery shop. He is so infuriating and he seems to love making me furious.  And the types that come to get their hair cut at his shop do not mix well with my clientèle!  Poor Vivian – she tries to always do her very best but this ‘awful’ Clinton set up shop right next to my Broken Cupcake.  He does everything he can to wind Vivian up and get her attention as he can’t stop thinking about her. With his tattoos and loud noisy music blaring plus the motorbikes that are all noisy too and dirty.  Clinton and Vivian are so well matched by Cassie-Ann Miller, in this enemies to lovers novel.  be prepared to laugh out loud, to giggle, to smile and have fun ‘listening’ to their verbal encounters and don’t forget their red hot and steamy love scenes!!  get your fans set to MAX cool as you’re going to need it when reading your copy of this book.  Cassie-Ann has woven a wonderful cast to this story that I really enjoyed this latest story and it is part three of the Blue Collar Bachelor Series. This can be read as a standalone or as part of the series. I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of the story here.

Unbroken: Virgin and Bad Boy Second Chance Romance by Haley Pierce

   A Chance To  Make Things Right

Geni never got over her first love, Silas St Clair, but he left their hometown and is a successful NFL quarterback for the Pittsburg Steelers.  She always wanted to leave but is still working in Billy’s bar. When Silas has an injury the last thing she expects is for him to come home to heal.  But he does as he’s never forgotten her either.  Haley Pierce has created this fantastic romantic comedy for us letting us in on so many of their secrets and misunderstandings that tore them apart but can they overcome them or is it too late for a second chance at love and a HEA??  This is a fast paced story that you will not want to put down Silas and Geni are just so suited and obviously belong together and I really enjoyed the journey of their story.  Both complex characters that were totally believable and endearing. As it’s one of Haley’s stories there is bound to be some steamy scenes that you’ll need your fans set to max cool and be prepared to laugh out loud.  A really witty and sweet story that I’ll be wanting to read again. If this is the first story that you’ve read by her then this will certainly make you a fan too.  I encourage you to get yourself a copy and prepare yourself to relax and enjoy. The Bad Escort by Amber Jaye

  Fun Story but Needs Editing Better

This is a very funny, fast paced read that had me laughing out loud.  Amber Jaye has created Mickey [with an expensive shoe addiction – well we can all relate to that!] but she hasn’t the money to cover her debt to the loan shark. She goes to him and he says if she doesn’t deliver a parcel to his brother Eddie and spend a fun night with him for his birthday he will take it out on her brother and destroy her show collection!  Eddie meets her at the door dressed in only a towel and she is astonished that he is so gorgeous and goes into the apartment with him and leaves quickly afterwards even though she is so attracted to him and the feeling is mutual. There does need to be some serious editing on the story and it will read so much better then as there were often words missing and sentences didn’t always make sense which is a pity as, otherwise it is a fun read to relax with.  I will certainly be looking forward to her next book being published but hope the editing is much better.                    Falling In Love Over The Net

Megan has a horrible experience in the city so heads back home to Castle Rock where her family and friends were.  She didn’t need any more of her boss’s behaviour.  She had been communicating online with Liam for some time  and they had both fallen for one another before even meeting. He and his dad had settled in castle Rock as it seemed such a great place to live. he was running the local bar.  What happens when the two of them finally meet in person??  This is the first book that I’ve read by Mia Kendall but it certainly won’t be the last as I loved it.  I laughed and enjoyed reading their love story, seeing as they fall deeper in love with one another.  So beautifully written and with some amazing chemistry. These are characters that you’re going to fall in love with and I will be wanting to re-read it as it’s just so good.  I cannot recommend this too highly.   A Fun Collection of Romantic Stories!

Trey, Trevor, and Selena are three multi billionaires who are HOT, sweet, caring and loyal who are not power hungry and only out for themselves.  This collection includes each of their HEA’s. The Broke Billionaire, The Billionaire’s Brother and The Billionairess by Ann Omasta .  I hadn’t read these individually before but am  a fan of Ann’s stories.  Each of these stories is relatively short and great for reading during a short break with a nice cup of tea.  Expect to smile, to laugh out loud and to enjoy.  I think if I had to choose a favourite it would have to be The Billionaire’s brother but I also liked Selena’s story as it was so unusual to have the heroine as the billionaire!  All fun and well written with a nice easy flowing writing style. I look forward to reading more of her stories.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Big Mountain Daddy by B.B. Hamel

  He Built His Own Prison For Himself!

B. B. Hamel is a terrific author who pens the most beautifully written stories. Her exceptional command of the English language enhances her storylines all the more and creates the perfect atmospheres and descriptions for her characters.  In this story we meet feisty Mia, a journalist, who is sent by her boss to interview Ethan who is a mutli billionaire who was a very successful businessman until he seemed to ‘drop off the face of the earth’ when a tragic accident happens at his firm and seven men are killed .  Mia is intrigued by the lack of real info about him available on the Net and knows what she needs to find out.The attraction between the two of them is sky high and at the end of the interview they end up in his bedroom. Passion beyond anything either had felt before occurred but the next day he is gone. But he has left a part of him with her! Two months later she has to find him and she ends up in the mountainous wilderness at the beginning of a snow storm. But they are not alone [and I don’t mean his gorgeous dog by that remark!]  All is not as it seems and they have to work together, with an unexpected ally, to save their lives!  Will they all reach safety and can Ethan and Mia feel safe?  To find out this and much more you need to get a copy of this book. I was given an advanced readers copy and leave my honest review of it here. However, I enjoyed it so much [especially the hot and steamy scenes and the suspense or will they or won’t they die] that I bought my own copy and have just finished reading the superb bonus materials too!!

Archer by Emilia Hartley

 A Chance To Make Things Right?

This is the latest bear shifter story by Emilia Hartley and I stated here that I LOVE her shifter stories but her bear shifter stories the most.  In this book we meet Archer who I didn’t like at the beginning of the story as his behaviour 8 years before set in motion a set of events that are almost catastrophic .  He had an arranged marriage made with the other clan shifter’s chief’s daughter, Joanna but he didn’t want to marry her as he had supposed ‘feelings’ for a human woman so he left her at the altar and was thrown out of his clan. She has loved him and was devastated that he’d do that and now she hates him.  His two brothers left also but he gets a phone call saying has has to come back and fix his mess! When he returns he sees Joanna and notices that she’s grown up really nicely[!] but seems to be very unhappy. He doesn’t know what to do as he has no pack but he goes to see his Dad, discovers his brothers there and that there Dad is dying but of a disease that shifters don’t get? Archer  knows that to appease the other pack he needs to marry Joanna but a new shifter, Killian claims that she is his now and he’s running the pack!  Emilia is a terrific author and the way she weaves a storyline is brilliant.  She gives us just enough information to keep us guessing and the way the characters interact and  behave gives the story it’s fast pace and the ‘I can’t put the book down’ element to it.  I thought Joanna was a very scared young woman who had done the best she could for her pack under very difficult and abusive circumstances. I was so glad that Archer manned up and became the shifter and man he always should have been and became the man that she had love all those years ago. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

I’m really looking forward to the rest of the series and hope that we get to learn more about Archer’s brothers!

Sold at the Ski Resort: A Virgin & Billionaire Romance by Juliana Conners

   Love In A Cold Climate!

I read this book when it was a bonus story when I purchased ‘Sold On Christmas Eve’ by Juliana Conners and enjoyed it so much! In this latest story we meet Mariah who is a virgin and student who is shy and needs to live a little. Her best friend , Jane, persuades her to go for a short holiday to Aspen to ski and have fun. Whilst there they meet Paul, who is a multi billionaire and is ‘recovering’ from a break up with his cheating ex. he and his friends invite Mariah and Jane to The Exchange Club that night – not telling them what sort of club it is! When Mariah and Jane get there, there was no way that Mariah was going to miss out seeing Paul again, they discover how women can auction themselves off to the highest bidder. Mariah decides this is the right time to get rid f her v-card and hopes that Paul will bid and win her. That he does and this is when the fun really starts for them both and exceeds both their expectations. Juliana has woven a clever story here with believable characters that I loved as Mariah and Paul are so much fun and genuinely nice people who are so obviously attracted to one another and are ‘good’ together. I liked ‘hearing’ their thoughts and really rooted for them. Yes, it may be a bit far fetched how she just happened to meet a handsome billionaire with the personality to match but this is a story and all sorts of things can and do happen in them for our entertainment. The scenes between Mariah and Paul are passionate and caring and he can’t get over how his feelings for her are so strong on such a short acquaintance. But who cares? It’s Christmas. It’s written with passion and the words flow beautifully . I read this story in one go as I just didn’t want to put it down so I now need to catch up on my sleep, but it was so worth it. The chemistry between Paul and Mariah was off the charts and all leading to a HEA. Obviously there are some twist but you’re going to have to find out by reading the story for yourself. This book also fits in perfectly with the bonus bundle which I encourage you to read as its really good and will keep you entertained for hours. Sold on Christmas Eve can be read as a standalone but also is an intricate part of the Sold at the Auction: Virgin and Billionaire Romance Series Box Set. I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book and it was in a bonus story in a book that I had previously bought by Juliana Conners.
