I (Pretend) Do: A Billionaire Fake Fiance Romance by Eva Luxe

  2 Broken Engagements Concluding In a A HEA

Eva Luxe is a terrific author who never fails to have an interesting storyline, captures my imagination on the first page, has wonderful characters that seem to be so ‘real’ and make the story come alive before my eyes as I read the book and leading to a HEA..  In other words, she writes the perfect book for me.  In this story I loved Brent and Amelia who meet one night whilst partying with friends after both their engagements are broken. her ex was a cheating rat and liar so she hasn’t lost out there. Brent’s ex didn’t care about his feelings as she only cared that he wouldn’t do what she wanted and work himself to death.  When they meet the air sizzles with passion between them and they are having so much fun that their lust takes over and they spend one very HOT night together and they thought that would be that. However, so many events had already been paid for with the engagements that they, individually, decided to go enjoy what they’d paid for and still pretend to be engaged!  When they meet each other again they can’t believe it – but Fate was on their said that day and as they really like each other they agree to pretend they’re engaged to each other and  this friendship deepens over time as they have so much fun together.  I loved the way that Brent did everything he could he try and boost Amelia’s confidence which had really been destroyed by her ex.  As the story unfolds you can see how their feelings for one another slowly develop into something so strong and unbelievably wonderful.  The bonus materials are great reads too!!  I voluntarily reviewed an advance reader copy of this book. This is one book that I will definitely be buying!!  I’m now looking forward to her next romantic adventure 🙂

Taming Irish (Wild Irish #3) by C.M. Seabrook

   Falling Into His Lap

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  I have a confession to make!  This is the very first book by C.M. Seabrook that I’ve ever read and I am totally blown away by it.  I love her style of writing; her descriptions and developments of characters, realistic scenarios and a growing passion between the two main protagonists that makes complete and utter sense but also stirs the imagination and the need for a fan on maximum cool! In Shane and Makena’s story, it is so wonderful to ‘see’ their attraction for each other growing into something so meaningful, deep, real and everlasting.  There is a heat between them that changes Shane’s whole outlook on life once he meets her. before that he had been very happy being part of a popular rock band and having all the women he liked without any cares or responsibility but once he meets Makena, he realises that whilst he thought he had been happy he had merely been going with the flow and only really felt ‘alive’ when she barged into his life.  She makes the world  a place full of wonder with life so exciting and he realises that he isn’t interested in other women any more.  He only wants her but he’s going to have to persuade her as she has trust issues with men because of her rat of an ex.  I did so enjoy this story and, whilst it is part 3 of the series, it can easily be read as a standalone. having said that I’m going to get the other two to read them as this book was so good.  A real page turn which caught my attention at page one and kept it right to the end.

12 Magical Nights of Christmas Anthology C.D. Gorri

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  This book is a collection by twelve different authors surrounding the Christmas theme and includes, vampires, shifters and witchcraft.  Some of the authors are new to me  such as Solstice Magick by Heather Marie Adkins which is a real delight to read as I don’t normally read much about witchcraft but Heather Marie really does weave a magical story for us in this story. I will certainly be looking out for more stories by her in future! I laughed and really enjoyed Dragon Got Run Over By A Reindeer by Julia Mills, another newbie to me – really put me in the Christmas spirit 🙂 .  Want to read about people joining the Mile High Club at Christmas? Then look no further than The Dragon’s Magical Night by P.T. Macias – but have your fans at the ready.  It is only within the last month that I ‘discovered C.D. Gori and , I confess, that this is the first of all the stories that I read as I like her style of writing so much. She draws you into the storyline straight away and keeps you riveted to the book till you reach the end.  I didn’t read them all in order, but just picked them by the titles.  There was only one that I felt let down by after reading it and that was A Beary Christmas by Ariel Marie.  As soon as I saw ‘Bearly’, I thought “Great!” but Ariel Marie’s style of writing just didn’t gel with me but probably will with others. Overall, I really enjoyed the first three that I mentioned here the most but the others were also really enjoyable with the exception of AM’s – hence only four stars.

Do I recommend this bundle to readers – Yes!  Most certainly, after all the money is going to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital and 11 out of 12 books, as far as I am concerned is still great value for  money.

The Bear’s Home by Emilia Hartley

  Whose After Thorn’s Territory?

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  We are introduced to Thorn, a Kodiak alpha bear shifter who is the largest shifter in Ripple, Oregon. Now he’s a peace loving bear who is only interested in fighting and having fun with the ladies!  Felicity is a property developer form out of town and she is here in Ripple to see if there is the potential for building a shopping mall, high rise buildings and changing the nature of the whole town.  It’s in Sally’s bar [she has been after Thorn for ever so long but he never notices her], that Thorn notices when Felicity walks into the bar. In fact everyone notices her as she is so out of place.  When she walks back out three creeps follow her so Thorn follows them as he knows that they’re up to no good.  There he finds that they have tried to ambush her so Thorn goes to the rescue and by the time the creeps are running away she has got in her car and sped away, but he paused as he was so surprised that she had been so calm!  A puzzle! She returns to see Sally and threatens her into selling her bar as Felicity is determined to get rich with this scheme of hers.  But things start happening like Thorns property being damaged. Who would dare threaten the biggest alpha around??  Is someone after his territory?   Will felicity tell him that she is a mountain lion shifter? Secrets are revealed from the past that are effecting today.  As they get to know one another better their attraction and lust increases are they mates? Will they get their HEA? Will Thorn discover who is behind the ‘pranks’?  For you to find out you need to read this latest book by Emilia Hartley.  I really like reading paranormal stories, especially bear shifters an so I knew that I was going to like the hero.  I have read all of Emilia’s stories that have been published in ebook form in the UK and I do like her easy flowing writing style with great storylines and interesting characters and , of course, the HEAs.

Billionaire’s Game Summer Cooper

  Love On Show!

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Lesli is a very intelligent young woman who has just completed her doctorate degree at the age of 23 years old. She still dresses in clothes that she wore when she was a teenager and she does not bother with fashion in the slightest. She had a boyfriend once but he was a bitter disappointment so hasn’t bothered since as she had neither the time nor the inclination. There is only her and her mum and her cousin, Lacey, who was more like a sister to her. She has got a job working for Lacey and her husband, Jude’s, non profit organisation called Ophelia’s Angels. She is really looking forward to belonging to this group and to meeting people and helping people. She is living with them at first as they have an adorable baby boy. On her first day she sees a gorgeous man , the best looking man that she’s ever seen, and he’s noticed her and is admiring her too! She later finds out that he is called Magnus and that he is a self made,multi billionaire, so Lesli thinks he couldn’t possibly be interpreted in him when he asks her out to dinner. It turns out that he is taking part in a tv show Billionaires’ games show where a billionaire is paired with someone from a charity and he ends up partnered with her after the original contestant broke her leg. He tries to ask her out again but on a non date and this she agrees to. She starts taking notice of her clothes and hair and Lacey even notices that she must be interested in someone. Lacey and Jude set them up and they end up having to go to Magnus’s home to prepare for the show and they fall into each other’s arms. Magnus is so cool and such a nice good guy but he is very passionate and keeps encouraging Lesli to give him a chance as he is bewitched by her. When she wakes up the next morning Lesli is very confused and calls an Uber before talking to Magnus. Lack of confidence and not talking make a mess of things and she doesn’t know what to do. Has she lost the chance to be with Magnus forever? I loved Lacey and Jude and her new friend that she met on the plane and these characters are also important in the storyline that Summer Cooper has created for us here. I confess that I am a fan of Summer Cooper and I really appreciate her style of writing and her making full use of all the characters to enhance the story. Lesli and Magnus together are so sweet and yet perfect for one another. Lesli is just a little later than Magnus in realising this. A great story with plenty of steam HEAT that kept me entertained form page 1 to the very last and I’ve bought my own copy already as I will be re-reading this as it’s so good. Enjoy!

Five Men and a Nanny: A Reverse Harem Romance by Jess Bentley

Oh I bet feisty young Bunny didn’t think her life would turn out the way it has today. She engages in mouth before brain, yells at her boss and then quits it! She then realises that she really, really needs a job and goes to her friend for advice. Fortunately for her, her friend’s husband knows of the Worth brothers and helps her get an interview. for the position of nanny to their little girl. The five Billionaires – Royce, Sullivan, Spencer, Brock and Trey Worth are all handsome, alpha males with gorgeous smiles and bodies of athletes and when they see something they like, they get it. But they have been hurt in the past and so guard their hearts but maybe Bunny is just what they need and want? because the position isn’t just for a nanny, it’s also to be their lover too! Now Bunny can’t believe her luck and agrees but how is this all going to end?? Jess Bentley certainly knows how to weave a story to capture your imagination at page one and maintain it to the very last page – and you won’t , if you’re like me, have wanted to put the book down till you reached the end as I just “had to know” what happened to Bunny and her five men. Bunny is engaging and fun and her five men are all so different in so many ways like the youngest is so sweet and gentle whilst the eldest’s word is basically the Law. But with their charisma they get who they want – it’s not their money that gets them what they need and Bunny is it! They just have to convince Bunny. This is a book that was such fun that I will want to re-read it. I throughly enjoyed this latest story by Jess and I hope that you do too.

Lover Boy (Blue Collar Bachelors Book 1) by Cassie-Ann L. Miller

   Red Hot Next Door Neighbour!

Leo Montgomery is a newly single dad and ex-military. His best friend offers him a new job and a place to live to have a new start in life with his cute, four year old son.  Next door is the hottest young woman that he’s ever seen and she’s completely off limits to him as she is his best friend’s little sister.  But Reese isn’t that little in fact she has curves in all the right places for him to enjoy given half a chance. Reese is a feisty young woman who can make even her ex high school sweetheart who confessed to being gay, love her.  When she sets her eyes on Leo she has what she calls a major crush. However, she isn’t a young teenager  and it’s a way more intense feeling.  This latest story by Cassie-Ann Miller is a real treat.  It is the first in a new series and this is a fantastic start to any series.  I loved how Cassie-Ann created characters that were so easy to love such as Reese and Leo.  Also the secondary characters are also great and maybe we will see them in future books in the series?  There were also plenty of laugh out loud moments such as granny panties flashing!  I do so love a rom-com and this book is the perfect example of that genre.  This is a fun and fast paced book that I couldn’t put down as it was so good.  It caught my imagination at page one and maintained it till the very end.  Leo and Reese are just so good together and the chemistry between them is off the charts so fans at the ready please readers!  I also loved that the hero wasn’t a billionaire or silly wealthy but was an honest ex military and blue collar worker and not not a ‘not in your wildest dreams’ hero in the story.  I love Cassie-Ann’s style of writing and am so looking forward to the next in the series! If this is an example of what to expect that I predict that I will be purchasing the series as I will be wanting to read the stories again.

This is a sexy bundle of five sizzling dirty Christmas stories by Juliana Conners, Eva Luxe and Sierra Sparks that I have all read previously and loved each and every one of them. If you haven’t read any books by them before you need to expect gorgeous alpha males who are determined and always get what and who they want feisty curvy young women who will stand up for themselves and bring their men down on their knees with passion. passion and lust and lots of dirty sex is also going to feature in these stories so you need to be warned to have lots of long cool drinks handy as well as a fan at the ready to bring down the heat as things are about to get HOT with the chemistry with these sizzling hot heroes and heroines that are about to fall in love. The first is Bound By The Billionaire and you meet Paige who is a reporter that goes under cover to a BSDM club and is spotted by Wyatt. In book two, Snow Job, we meet two single parents who have to share a cabin in a snow storm and the heat is sufficient to make the snow melt between those two. In book three, Unwrap Me Boss we meet Grace who is keeping secrets about her home life which her boss, Boyd, wants to know more about her as she is in his thoughts all the time. Book four, Two Billionaires For Christmas, we meet Mandy who has just dumped her ex and is starting a new job with two handsome billionaire alpha bosses Carl and Clayton who both seem to be very keen to get to know her a whole lot more but who will she choose? Or does she not have to choose?? In the last book, Sold On Christmas Eve, we meet Mariah who is encouraged to go on holiday to Aspen by her friend and she ends up on the stage of The Exchange Club up for auction and Paul is the man who buys her! Each story on it’s own is terrific but together this makes it a bundle of books that are a must have. So well written and a nice selection of storylines that will appeal to most people. In the five named books, it contains five alpha males who are either ex military, billionaires, mc riders,CEO’s, Doms, cowboys or stepbrothers who all know what they want and will do just about anything to get what they want. Ashlee Price is an author whose stories I have been reading for over two years now and enjoyed every one of them whilst Sophia Senna is a new author to me but, after having read her stories in this bundle, I will be most assuredly be looking for more of her books to read and enjoy. Pure escapism with hunky heroes and damsels that don’t always need to be rescued as they tend to be confident young women who also know what they want and will accept nothing less. Be prepared for plenty of passion, hot and steamy scenes and pantie melting moments that you will need to switch on your fans and relax as you indulge in reading these rom-coms and racy love stories. However, I enjoyed these so much that I bought a copy for myself and the bonus novellas are certainly well worth reading too!

Coconutty Christmas ~ Holiday in Hawaii: A short story (The Escape Series) by Ann Omasta

  Too short a story for me

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. This is a very short, fast paced read that is part of a series which I haven’t read, as yet. Ann Omasta is a new author to me but I did like her writing style. It’s set in a holiday resort where the staff are trying to make the Christmas holiday be as good as it can be bearing in mind that there is a hurricane! To me, it was too short as we didn’t really get to ‘know’ the characters and were left with a cliff hanger as to whether there would be a HEA or not. Frustrating but I’m going to tract down the others in the series and try them as the storyline was good – just too short for me.
