Cards of Love: Nine of Swords (Cards of Love) by Bella Love-Wins

Sins Of The Father… Amazing Read!

I have never quite read anything like this as a storyline before and I am so pleased that I did read this fabulous story.  Bella Love-Wins has exceeded my expectations and then some with this book. Such amazing characters in Sydney who has suffered so much in her life and is always looking over her shoulder and Blade who is hired by a mysterious person to ‘protect’ her even though she doesn’t know anything about it until he corners her in her apartment and saves her from assassins.  Blade has had an awful childhood so they can emphasise with each other but it’s the passion between them that neither expected.  But once tasted they are addicted  and can’t get enough of each other – it’s not just lust now. It’s so very much more.  But then the mysterious person takes Blade off the case and his friend Eric [nice guy and I hope we meet him again and maybe get to read his HEA?]  But then she receives the letter that informs her that she and her children will never, ever be safe!  Can Blade protect her? Find out by reading this fantastic story and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  Blade was so easy to have as a hero and love.  I felt so sorry and yet admired how strong Sydney is in stoppable.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Most Definitely Recommended – I’m looking forward to her next book.

  Definitely recommended! Pure Passion

Ana and Tyler were high school sweethearts.. She had been a somewhat overweight teenage girl with acne and a geeky look going for her whilst he was the prom king, captain of the football team – the ultimate jock. But all he sees when he notices Ana is a beautiful young woman that he wants to get to know and be his. But Ana has just found out that she’s pregnant with his child and daren’t tell him otherwise he’d put off chasing his dream and would resent her. So they fight and he leaves. She gives birth to a gorgeous little baby boy called Brody and it’s not till eight years have passed before Tyler comes back to LA to start his own firm and to try and see Ana! How is he going to feel that he has a son that he knew nothing about? Will he feel betrayed by Ana? Will he even believe that Brody? Amy Brent has composed another bets selling, romantic story that you will want to re-read in the future as it is just so good. With passion off the charts and mystery and bruised feelings can this couple, with their son, have a HEA? To find out you’re going to have to get yourself a copy of Amy’s latest books and read it for yourself. It is a real page turner, easy to read, that is filled with such wonderful descriptions of the characters that I can almost ‘see’ them in my mind’s eye and, of course, a fun romantic steamy read. Saving Emma by R.R. Banks

  Magnificent – Film Rights??

When is R.R. Banks going to have his books submitted to be turned into films??  This is yet another that I would go to see!  This is so much more than any mere romance.  We have an addict recovering from his injuries that stopped his football career and changed his life forever more.  Brice turned his life around and invested wisely and turned himself intro a very successful businessman.  When he hears that his best friend’s dad has died, who helped him as a young boy/man to  get into professional football, he knows that he must support his friend and show his respect to the man who was so important to him.  Whilst there he also sees Emma, his best friend’s younger sister who has now blossomed in every way his x-rated mind could possibly imagine but she looks at him with almost hate in her eyes which confounds him.|Emma had crushed on Brice from afar whilst young [way too young for him at the time] but now the age difference is meaningless and he’s even more gorgeous than ever. But he never came back and she feels so betrayed.  meanwhile she has lost her job and is in dire straights and when Brice hears about it [all the while her using her nickname for him which is ‘a@@hole’!  He plays hero to her when her abusive ex attacks her and she tends to Brice’s wounds at home. This is when the story really heats up. This is a Book by R.R. Banks  so when I say heat – I mean HEAT as in scalding!  There is certainly plenty of passion between them but she immediately regrets it. But Brice wants more. He’s never felt this way about any woman before but she won’t give him a chance so he’s obviously going to have to be sneaky to get a second chance with her…and he knows exactly what he’s going to do!  Brice is no fool  but he’s  a man on a mission and that’s to see if there is any chance of something being very real between him and Emma. He’s got the money to make things happen so he can solve her employment issue and help his business acumen simultaneously.  But Emma has a real ‘story’ that her previous editor wouldn’t touch. But her fabulous new editor is a woman of vision and she thinks Emma is worth the risk so encourages her. But it’s not long before threats are received.  With kidnapping, new passions, real love, mystery, more murders and a creepy break in.  Who is behind these murders?  Is Emma too close to the truth? Can Brice win her love and keep her safe??  If there is one book that you buy this year – this must be it!!!!!  Magnificent.  This book illustrates perfectly why R.R. Banks is one of the USA’s best selling authors.  I received a reader’s copy of the book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  Magnificent – Definitely Recommended

Doctor December by Flora Ferrari

  Definitely recommended! Pure Passion

Found left on the steps outside a hospital once December by another doctor, the baby is taken in and given the name Declan Dercember.  The man who found him also became a dad that night at that hospital and his son became Declan’s best friend when they turned five and m,et at school.  Best friend’s for life!  Declan poured his efforts into becoming the best doctor he could be and he loved his work with children.  one day he gets a phone call from his best friend saying could he help with his teenage daughter? Of course, Declan agreed and it is then that he met Bella as a woman rather than as his friend’s little girl.  Instant love flares between Bella and Declan and they try their best to keep it form her dad. But one over protective father is bound to see signs – now isn’t he!  Will Bella and Declan take the risk to act on their passions which could break her dad’s heart and break his friendship with Declan?  To find out if they get their HEA, you’re going to have to read this for yourself. But bearing in mind that the author is Flora Ferrari, you should realise that it is very well written, plenty of passion and she loves to deliver HEAs. But the ending in this book is wonderful and I love how far she ‘goes into the future’!!  Absolutely great. A fast paced read that is fun and entertaining. I am looking forward to her next book already! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Billion Dollar Man by Ali Parker

  A Brilliant Suspenseful Story!

I ‘discovered’ Ali Parker’s books last year and have been addicted to them ever since.  I love the way she weaves a story.  The way she develops her characters that are so believable and 3-dimensional. The way they pull at your heart strings and I always end up liking them [well apart from the obvious unpleasant ones ]. In this  book I loved Mila as the heroine. The hero was Ben, who is her brother’s best friend so obviously their love would break the ‘bro code’.  She had a crush on him as a child but nothing happened. He always wanted to be a firefighter but work in New York pulled him away. When his parents and ‘uncle’ die in suspicious circumstances he gets a chance to come back home and they reconnect.  Passions overtake them but then he feels that he ‘has to’ leave town to protect her.  Ben did annoy me at times because he need to be more assertive and not floundering in his thoughts. This is a longer story than normal but it was so full of what was going on that it didn’t seem long at all to me.  This is a real page turner and you won’t want to put it down.  W|ell worth purchasing so that I can re-read it whenever I want to do!  Most definitely recommended!

Billionaire Biker’s Secret Baby: A Bad Boy Romantic Suspense by Weston Parker

  Steam, Sizzling Heat!

This is going to get you so involved in Ax and Sabrina’s story that you won’t be able to put the book down liker me.  Lost sleep but who cares!!  Such another fabulous story by Weston Parker whose writing just gets better with every story he composes for us, his fans.  Sabrina and Ax were high school sweethearts but he went into the military and lost touch.  Then his good for nothing brother got him flung in prison for something he didn’t do so Ax is now out for revenge until he meets up with Sabrina again and makes a startling discovery.  She had never let him know that he was going to be a dad!!!  Everything changes when this second chance with Sabrina and a family falls into his lap – one that he isn’t going to let go of anyway at all.  I loved the interaction between Ax and Sabrina and he is such a good dad.  But his brother??? Oh boy – nope not giving you a clue – you’ll just have to read this for yourself as Weston is a true expert at this art whereas I am a mere mortal.  This is one book that you’ve just got to get and read asap.. I wait impatiently for his next story. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.  Definitely recommended!!

Just For You by Mia Ford

   Third Chances…

Kade and Lucie had grown up as friends then, one day, he had simply gone without a word.  They meet up again at college but he’s been a really bad boy with all the trappings but he wants more with her and they have one unbelievable one night stand of passion.  But his behaviour leads to him leaving again without a word and leaving her broken hearted and to pick up and soothe her heart again.  But it involves more than just her now.  Can Kade have a third chance at happiness with Lucie?  Beautifully written by one of the USA’s top best selling author, Mia Ford, and one of my go-to favourite authors.  Such believable characters – Kade whom I wanted to shake at times and Lucie – who really needed a hug and shoulder to lean on – and the storyline was such that I couldn’t put it down till I’d completed it during the ‘wee small hours’ of the morning – and , yes, it was well worth the lack of sleep.  I received a reader’s copy and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Definitely recommended!!

Buckle Up, Buttercup, A Cowboy Romance by Gigi Thorne

Slow Start Then a Good Storyline!

Gigi Thorne is a collection of best selling authors who are collaborating to compose these wonderful stories for us.  This one was sad in some places, fun and red hot in others, whilst there was also a wicked’demon’ on the horizon – or should I say in the kitchen!  Beau, our hero, is not much of an alpha male and really he should have been as he basically was walked over completely by his wicked ex who should be in jail for life!  Winnie has had a hard life and was a total innocent till she met Beau and he ‘kidnapped’ her off the stage where she was going to dance and he couldn’t stomach the idea of any man, other than himself, of seeing all of her.  Her stage name is Buttercup – hence the title of the story.  So well written but not quite as good as the others basically because of some ‘muddling’. Having said that, I will be looking forward to Gigi’s next romantic adventure as they have all been so well written and once I had got over the first chapter, I enjoyed the story. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Recommended

Air Force Hero: A Military Secret Baby Novel by Weston Parker

A Second Chance With Her Childhood Crush

Josephine, Jo, has had a major crush on her brother Ryan’s best friend, Zach, since she was a little girl.  Obviously nothing could happen between them as Ryan would kill them both!  Zach joins the Air Force and Jo joins the Coast Guard.  But when his dad dies he returns home briefly for his mum and he meets up with Jo.  This time with emotions high they can’t ignore the sizzling chemistry between them and they have one unbelievably wonderful night of passion and love. But she’s gone before he wakes the next morning.   Nothing Zach can do but wish they could explore this feeling between them so all he can do is remember.  Meanwhile Jo is feeling the same.  Several tears pass before they are both back home and she is not alone!  She has a male with her and Zach NEEDS to know all about him as he looks remarkably like himself in miniature form!  Weston Parker’s writing just gets better with each book [and I’ve loved his books for quite some time now].  His writing style is flowing and succinct. Whilst he knows how to pull at your heart strings with all the angst and drama surrounding these two.  I think Ryan’s opinion doesn’t need to count this time.  Now it’s just Zach, Jo and a certain adorable little boy who count.  It was all so easy to immerse myself into this world of theirs and want them to get their HEA.  Such a wonderful journey that I will be re-reading this in the future as it is too good a story just to be read the once.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  Most Definitely Recommended!
