Single Dad’s Spring Break: A Billionaire’s Second Chance Romance by Rye Hart

  Must Have Book I Bought For Myself

Rye Hart is a top 100 author for the excellent reason that she is a fabulous writer. She composes unique and interesting storylines that are believable and with characters that you almost feel as if you ‘know’ them as they are so well developed and 3 dimensional.  In this story we meet  Kevin who had been to college with Brooke and they fell in love.  But Kevin really wasn’t ready for an emotional relationship and kept letting her down so she reluctantly left him despite loving him.  Six months later she read that he was getting married and he and his wife, Sarah, had twins one boy, Daniel, and a girl, Sydney. But the marriage didn’t last as Sarah didn’t want to be a mother and she ignored them. So Kevin divorced her and paid her to let him bring them up safely.  One Spring Break he takes the twins to the Caribbean  where he has bought a house unseen. It is whilst they are out on the beach having fun that he spots Brooke and her best friend, Morgan, and he is reminded of how attracted he was to Brooke and still loved her.  They invited the young women to lunch and begin seeing each other.  The children love her and Brooke loves them too – as well as their Dad but she is trying to guard her heart from being broken again by him.  But there are problems ahead for this group of people.  Kevin is a billionaire and so has enemies and people who are jealous of his vast wealth. There is also his ex who is very bitter.  Can Kevin protect his children, prove his love to Brooke and find a happy balance in life for them all?  Will Brooke and Kevin get a second chance at love? The chemistry between them is even hotter than before and their love has never been forgotten or died so will they be prepared to make sacrifices so that they can be together??  Rye captured my attention in the first page and maintained it right to the last of the book [past all the extra bonus stories too] and I only put the book/Kindle down at the end of each story as they were so entertaining and I had to know whether Brooke and Kevin would get their HEA.  I really encourage you to purchase your own copy and I hope you love them as much as I did.

Hot Seal Next Door: A Bad Boy Second Chance Romance by Tia Wylder

  He Doesn’t recognise His Own Son

This is Paul and Kelly’s story as well as the story of two boys getting a proper family.  Paul had been married and they had a son but the marriage didn’t work out and they divorced. Paul was a Navy SEAL and went on active service. On leave he met Kelly, a virgin, and they fell instantly in lust/love and had unprotected sex. But he left, despite him being in love with her and he never kept in touch with her. Six years later he has his son staying with him and new neighbours move in. The new neighbours are Kelly and her/their son that he knows nothing about.  Kelly wants to keep away from him despite her feelings for him haven’t changed and Paul is still in love with her and wants to try again even though he is upset that she must have been with another man to have a son!!  Obviously maths is not his strong point! The two boys get on together wonderfully but both Paul and Kelly are stubborn and not wanting to be hurt again.  At times, I felt like I needed to give both Kelly and Paul a good shake for not seeing what was right in front of them!!!! Tia Wylder has written a good storyline here that I read in less than an afternoon. The scenes between Kelly and Paul are red hot but I really couldn’t understand why Paul just couldn’t see the similarities between the two boys and the fact that he could be the father of them both. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Friends to Lovers: A Fake Fiance Romance by Mia Ford

  Perfect For Each Other

Melissa and Nick met in middle school and became the best of friends. He went off to college and met the girl who would become his wife and mother of their son.However, she wasn’t worthy of him and left Nick and their son.  He is going to an awards ceremony and needs a partner so he asks Melissa if she will pretend to be his fiancée for the evening. What Nick doesn’t know is that Melissa has been in love with him for years but never act upon it as she didn’t want to ruin  their friendship.  Mia Ford is a top 100 selling author and this story certainly illustrates why her books are so popular.  her writing style is relaxed, enticing and with fabulous characters.   Nick and Melissa are just so good together but why has it taken Nick so long to realise how much Melissa means to him? They are so well suited with plenty of steam heat between them and are so comfortable with each other whilst still appreciating the sizzling chemistry between them.  Will Nick want to make the fake fiancée into something real and lasting?  I thoroughly enjoyed this book from start to finish and look forward to Mia’s next romantic adventure. Grab this as soon as you can as its a great fast paced read that I read in one go.

   Love Makes The World Better

Branden, a hot single dad who is a cop, hasn’t seen his goddaughter , daughter to his best friend and next door neighbour, for four years whilst she has been at college. The moment he does he drops his coffee in amazement when he sees how gorgeous and grown up she is. Annabelle has had a crush on Branden as long as she can remember and when she returns home looking for a job she grasps the opportunity to be nanny to his 7 year old daughter [he is her guardian as she was a fellow co-workers child and he and his wife died leaving Branden to be her ‘Dad’]. His feelings for Annabelle grow exponentially and when he finds out that she feels the same for him he is ecstatic. but when her dad, Adam, finds out all hell lets loose!  can these two wonderful people find a way to have their own HEA. With all the passion and love between them surely they can find a way!!  I love the way Flora Ferrari creates a wonderful storyline, terrific characters that I really rooted for.  There is love in abundance in this story with witty banter, some great twists and plenty of passion. I can’t wait for her next romantic adventure!

  Another Winner!

Kate has been so busy trying to succeed in her profession that she isn’t really living a full life.  When they meet there is a spark between them but Kate notices that his PA doesn’t seem to want her there.   As they get closer they both begin to develop feelings for one another and a business meeting turns into a date!  Mia Ford is a Top 100 author because she is that good at conjuring up stories that draw you into the ‘world’ of the characters who are so believable.  Will Evan and Kate have a chance of becoming part of the ‘real world’ and starting living  and enjoying life together and with Liam?  What is behind the PA?  Will Evan be able to overcome his fear of hurting again so that he and Kate can have a full and lasting relationship? The Alpha’s Assistant & The Dom Next Door: A Billionaire Romance Collection by Michelle Love, Eliza Duke

   A Great Collection!

This is two stories co-authored by Michelle Love and Eliza Duke. They are both short, fast paced reads that kept me entertained from first to last page.

The Assistant –  This is set in Chicago and billionaire Brock sees Erica and is determined to have her.  Well written and a familiar storyline.  Erica seems a good feisty young woman but Brock, at the beginning, is just too arrogant for me to like although by the end of the story I did like him.  They were both well matched and it’s a nice short story.  A good short story.

The Dom Next Door –  In this story we meet Emmeline and Carl who is her next door neighbour and a single dad to a baby daughter.  Emmeline’s parents are murdered in a car bombing and no one knows why. The police have no clues and she is having a really tough time coping especially as she witnessed their deaths and she is suffering from PTDS, and her sister hates her.  Emmeline had been in training as a novice but once this happens she is really struggling and she needs to refocus her life and aims.  Emmeline and Carl have been watching each other from a distance, but when he hears her screaming for her life, he rushes in and saves her from her insane sister and offers her a home with him and his daughter, Jenny.  I loved this story as the storyline is so good and very captivating with a mystery to solve and Emmeline.  Carl and she make such a great couple and there is plenty of sparkle between them. The initial attraction slowly becomes so very much more and it was wonderful to ‘see’ their love growing.  Can they solve why her parents were murdered? What will happen to her mad sister?  Do Carl and Emmeline stand a chance at a real long term relationship or will she return to her novice training??  This was such a great and unique storyline that I actually wish that Michelle Love & Eliza Duke had made it into a full length novel as the characters were strong and well developed and I love their styles of writing which compliment each other so well. Amazing Story

As you can probably tell, I really loved reading The Dom Next Door  the better of the two as there was so much depth and originality to the story and I was fully focused on their lives. It most certainly is a must have read and one that I couldn’t put down until I had reached the end of the story. This story really illustrated Michelle and Eliza’s strengths as terrific authors and why I am looking forward to more of their co-authoring!

  Love Makes The World  A better Place

Paige is a feisty young woman who is a private investigator with a degree that she does not use in her line of work.  She is given a job by multi billionaire, Mr Kent, who says there is a thief stealing money form his business and he wants her to find out who it is.  The trail, is easy to follow and she is surprised and confused by this job as most of the work has already been done for her.  She is wary and discovers that the ‘thief’ is Zach. Now Zach and his mum escaped form his father’s clutches when he was a teenager as he was an abusive man. Unfortunately, the impact of the abuse lead to his mum committing suicide when he was 14 years old. He now lives in a cabin in the mountains with only one window and he keeps to himself – he goes to work as a lumberjack and occasionally has a one night stand but has never had a relationship until he meets Paige.  She is feisty, curvy and intelligent and stunning and they are instantly mutually attracted to each other.  he asks her out and, for once, he begins a relationship with her.  More surprises occur and Paige is more and more concerned as to why Mr Kent employed her to find out the thief as she trusts Zach.  This is one terrific story and yes, with instant attraction you may think that is all it’s going to be about with lots of hot, sexy scenes and a HEA. But you’d be wrong!  Don’t get me wrong as there are lots of red, hot sexy scenes with plenty of passion but there is a very real underlining plot that is weaving it’s way through the book too and is well worth the read.  The included extra stories are amazing too so please read those too when you get your copy.  I hope you enjoy this story and all the others as much as I did.  I do like Eva Luxe’s writing style and the genre that she writes for. her attention to details all helps to bring the story to ‘life’ with believable characters and interesting twists and turns and, of course, a wonderful HEA!  I received a free reader’s copy and leave my honest opinion of the book here.

First Love: A Single Dad Second Chance Romance by Amy Brent

   Does He Deserve A Second Chance With Her?

This is a different type of story for Amy Brent in as much as I really thought the so called hero was not worthy of Melissa the heroine.  Brandon had broken her heart when he went to uni and promised her that he would be back for her. Needless to say he didn’t. he didn’t even make an excuse why.  This heart break for Melissa was the start of her life with depression. She did try to move on and married a wonderful man and they had a beautiful little girl but then he died in a tragic accident and Melissa blames herself for his death as she is so depressed. Her doctor suggests that she try therapy and he suggests that she makes an appointment to see the renowned, Dr Brandon Black.  Brandon is now very successful and uses women for sex and nothing else- no emotions or feelings whatsoever.  That is why I, quite frankly, detested him I would have advised Melissa to run in the opposite direction. However, she goes and this is where the story STARTS.  I found this to be an emotionally upsetting story and I felt so very, very sorry for Melissa as the only bright part of her life is her gorgeous little girl whom she loves above everything.  This is so beautifully written by Amy with such compassion that I was drawn to Melissa’s story right from the very beginning.  Melissa had a long and difficult journey to struggle through and it is treated with great sensitivity and woven into a believable and realistic storyline.  This was a tremendous journey to ‘walk’ with Melissa and I believe that the ending was the right one. I would have liked an epilogue in say five years time to see if the HEA really was that and that they did stay together happily.  I received a free reader’s copy of this book and will be purchasing my own copy to support the author and as I want my own copy of the never published before story by Amy that is included.

Climax: A Contemporary Romance Box Set by Sarah J. Brooks

 A Fabulous Must Have Collection

This is a real MUST HAVE collection of five fantastic stories by Sarah. J. Brooks.  I’m still reading book book 5 which I haven’t read before but it’s been a real pleasure re-reading the first four books.  Sarah writes with such a relaxed flowing writing style that the words just seem to fly through the pages, enticing you to read all of it and in one go.  I didn’t read this all in one go!  I have included in this review my take on books 3 and 4 which are my favourites [although they are ALL great!]

Bedroom Rodeo – A Wild Ride of Love! Enjoy!   10 August 2017

Tyler and Summer are very attracted to one another but Summer is only going to be nanny for his children Faith and Thomas for 30 days! He initially thinks that she is spoilt but she isn’t. She has had a tough learning curve to grow up with. Tyler has issues too and whilst all this is happening they also have to deal with the two children as well as fall in love. Sarah J. Brooks has created another winning best seller here again. her characters are always so interesting [even the secondary ones] and the storyline kept me engrossed till I had finished reading the complete book. This is one that I have enjoyed so much that I know that I will be re-reading it in time. Definitely recommended!!! I received an arc of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here. In PR work, her father said you must never get involved with clients. Until she met River, Mariah, 22 years old, just one year into her first job at her father’s PR firm meets River, 38 years old, a billionaire who is handsome, charming and has a reputation as a womaniser. The attraction between the two of them is instant and he demands that she is to be the person who will help him with his “situation”. This is unusual as her father would put someone far more experienced than she in charge but River refuses to deal with anyone but her. River has kept a secret for 10 years and knows that as soon as Mariah hears it that she will not want anything to do with him. But she surprises him and steps up her game so that his reputation is safe. But River is hot tempered and lands himself behind bars. Can she save him and his firm? The tension throughout adds to the storyline as Mariah and River, with help from their friends, battle their way through the bad press towards him and, ultimately, the decade long secret is revealed to the world. Their HEA is not easy as they are both strong willed characters for a start who feel passionately about their beliefs. He, at times, thinks she is too young to understand and she is infuriated that he won’t defend himself. But love overcomes all and they will find a way to be together despite him being a commitment phobe in the past. She is worth fighting for and a future with her is what he desperately wants. I really did enjoy reading this story and I think you will too if you like well developed characters who consistently prove their caring, passion and love for one another. There are some great steamy scenes that you will probably need a fan near by to switch on and a nice cool drink. Definitely recommended.

This is a tremendous selection of stories by Sarah that I thoroughly recommend you get a copy for yourself and enjoy as much as I have! I received an advanced reader copy  of this collection and I leave my honest review of it here for your consideration.

  A Second Chance of A Loving Life

Garrett and Gwendolyn, Gwen, are two lonely people who have both suffered – Garrett is now a single Dad to Jason and Gwen has suffered from a mentally abusive marriage where her confidence found an all time low.  They are both trying for a new start in a small town called Silver Lake – the type of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business. Gwen is starting as a teacher in the high school and Garrett is returning to his home town, where he has bad memories, and is going to be the new fire chief and Jason, who is going through that rebellious teenager stage is going to be attending the high school! Garrett and Gwen do meet one night, out of town, both using a different name and they have a wildly passionate and erotic night of none stop mind blowing sex – one that they’re never likely to forget [WARNING:- you will need your fans set to maximum cold here!!!] They meet again when Gwen has trouble with a new boy in her class and discovers his dad is her hunky, sexy beyond reason saviour from her night at the bar – I could almost imagine the look on both their faces when they meet for that second time as RR was so descriptive! RR Banks is an exceptional author who has a magical way of weaving an intricate plot through the pages a of a story with tension building up with each sentence.  There is so much about Garrett that we learn as the story unfolds such as how he doesn’t want Jason to make the same mistakes, what happened to Garrett to make him leave Silver Lake. Gwen likewise has past issues that she has still not resolved.  The passion scale when they meet just fired straight into the upper atmosphere they are so HOT together but will they be able to be more than that to have a successful relationship.  This story is a great example of R.R. Banks at his very best This is a fast paced love story but also so very much more that has been exquisitely penned for us by R.R.
