President Daddy: A Dark Daddy Romance (Dark Daddies Book 4) by B. B. Hamel

Yes Mr President –A Must Have Read!

Adam and Maggie just can’t possible be together as a couple? Or can they?  This is the fourth book in Dark Daddies Book Series by the best selling author, B.B. Hamel, and what a treat to read.  You don’t need to have read the previous three but I strongly urge you to do so as they are terrific.  Adam is the President, a young alpha male who is a Dom in his personal leisure time and he is entranced by Maggie who works with him but is half his age.  What would everyone say? What would the press do?  However, lust and love pay no attention to others.  These are two remarkable characters that I really enjoyed ‘meeting’. expect steam heat [fans and a/c at the ready as this book is HOT] and with a great storyline all beautifully written by B.B..  No spoilers from me but I am looking forward to her next book. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.  Most definitely recommended!!

Coach Daddy: A Dark Daddy Romance (Dark Daddies Book 3) by B. B. Hamel

   He’s The Daddy!  A Must Have Read!

Cole is coach for the Chainsaws NFL team and he has Leah as one of the medical trainer therapists.  His football career was brought to an abrupt end after a life changing motorcycle accident and he asks Leah to help ease his thigh injury so that he can carry on with his everyday life without limping [and keeping the injury a secret].  He is almost twice her age but neither of them cares as there is plenty of passion between them – age is merely a number. With all the sneaking around there is a tension in their relationship that only enhances further the red hot sizzling chemistry between them. STEAM HEAT – so have your fans/ac in fully working order to cool things down for you as you read this passionate love story.  However, as she works for him that could prove to be an issue so they sneak around hiding their relationship from everyone.  But secrets have to be guarded very carefully if they are remain secrets and sometimes things just don’t go to plan. This is the third book in the Dark Daddies series by B.B. Hamel and I am loving this series very much indeed.  Such fantastic believable and realistic characters that are well developed and  as she is such a good writer, it is so easy to ‘see’ Cole and Leah as their lives play out.  They are both charismatic but I do think this is somewhat ‘darker’ than the previous two books in the series so it really isn’t for anyone under 18 years old.  A terrific storyline that is very enjoyable and also one that I know that I will read again in the future as it was just so entertaining.   I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Definitely recommended – read it now and enjoy!

Untamed Virgins (Mountain Men of Bear Valley Book 1) by Chantel Seabrook and Frankie Love

  A Wonderful Paranormal New Series!!

“Bear Valley: Where rugged men find more than a safe haven — they find their mates.”  This is the first book that I’ve read by Chantel Seabrook but it won’t be the last as I really enjoyed this first episode in the  Mountain Men of Bear Valley  and I simply now got to read the rest by her and the best selling author Frankie Love.  This is a paranormal series about men who are bear shifters [my personal favourites as I just love anything to do with bears].  In this we are introduced to the oldest of the bear shifting brothers, Gunner and Adelaide Spencer.  Adelaide has just moved to the Valley with her friends to open  a bookstore that had been in the family and not expecting to find her one true love. But as soon as Gunner sees her , he knows that she is his Mate and once they kiss that is decided and he can have no one else.  So beautifully written with warmth, humour, realism and such amazing characters that I found them so easy to love and enjoy their story.  How will Adelaide react when she finds out Gunner’s family secret?  bearing in mind that she didn’t even know that shifters existed in the first place?  The attraction between them is so powerful that they are like two magnets drawn to each other and no one can, hopefully, pull them apart.  To find out what happens you need to get a copy and discover for yourself.  I certainly am looking forward to the next books in the series. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review. Definitely recommended – a great start to the series.

Guardians of the Fae: A Reverse Harem Fantasy Romance by Elizabeth Hartwell

  A Great Paranormal Read!

Elizabeth Hartwell is a new author to me and what a wonderful find!  This tells us the story of a paranormal detective, Eve, who realises that she seems to have a knack for knowing things. When she is on a search she finds out that fa Guardians Noah, Tyler, Jacob and Cole  are there to assist her. There have been some very suspicious paranormal murders taking place and they are here to help her and rescue her from a vampire attack.  What they didn’t expect to find was HER.  These three s@xy men feel a connection to her that they can’t ignore and she certainly doesn’t want to ignore them.  plenty of passion, mystery and suspense in this great book.  I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading more of her stories. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Definitely Recommended

Cards of Love: Nine of Swords (Cards of Love) by Bella Love-Wins

 

  Sins Of The Father… Amazing Read!

I have never quite read anything like this as a storyline before and I am so pleased that I did read this fabulous story.  Bella Love-Wins has exceeded my expectations and then some with this book. Such amazing characters in Sydney who has suffered so much in her life and is always looking over her shoulder and Blade who is hired by a mysterious person to ‘protect’ her even though she doesn’t know anything about it until he corners her in her apartment and saves her from assassins.  Blade has had an awful childhood so they can emphasise with each other but it’s the passion between them that neither expected.  But once tasted they are addicted  and can’t get enough of each other – it’s not just lust now. It’s so very much more.  But then the mysterious person takes Blade off the case and his friend Eric [nice guy and I hope we meet him again and maybe get to read his HEA?]  But then she receives the letter that informs her that she and her children will never, ever be safe!  Can Blade protect her? Find out by reading this fantastic story and I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.  Blade was so easy to have as a hero and love.  I felt so sorry and yet admired how strong Sydney is in stoppable.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. Oh MY! This is such a sweet romance – don’t get me wrong, this is a story by Flora Ferrari so we also have STEAM HEAT!!! Finn is Brynn’s older brother and she used to hang round with him and his best friend Bryce as much as they would let her whilst growing up even though they were nine years older than her. Brice is now a very successful baseball player which both he and Finn dreamed of being. Brynn has crushed on Bryce since she first ‘noticed’ boys so she has it bad for him. When she gets an opportunity to get some tickets to a game where he’ll be paying she can’t resist – even if it means having to go on a date with a creep from her office. But at the ballgame she notices him straight away and it seems that he noticed her too. When the ball flies towards her he seems to set his eyes on her even though he’s after the ball and shoves the jerk behind her from hurting her. And that, as they say, is the beginning of their HEA! Will Finn approve when he finds out that she’s got tickets from Brice to come to another game in New York? When Bryce sneaks out of his hotel in New York to be with her it is so romantic and sweet where he takes her. He is her first kiss and her first everything. Not everything is going to go smoothly but what a journey! Bryce is going to stay in your memory as one of Flora’s most romantic of romantic heroes so be prepared to swoon. Bridges and a candlelit boathouse are going to feature in your dreams from now on. I also loved the epilogues as they are so much fun to see how the future pans out for them. I love Flora’s stories but this must be the sweetest yet and I loved every second of it [pizza restaurant and Bryce marching in is probably one of the most satisfying scenes 😉 ]. The Billionaire Affair: (A Billionaire Bad Boy Rom Com) by Ali Parker

  FABULOUS! – a Must Have Read!

Jeremiah is the son of a repulsive billionaire and he meets Stephanie, Steph, at a nightclub that her friend ‘forces’ her to attend. He’s with his ‘tribe’ of friends [since school days]. She’s not his usual type but there is something about her that is like a magnet drawing him to her. Just when he thinks he’s going to get lucky she disappears much to his dismay and he watches her leaving in a taxi. But next day they meet again – with his vile father there who insults her repeatedly [well he does that throughout the book] when she goes for an interview for a job as Jeremiah’s secretary. His friend, Nick, is great and Steph would be happy to work for him but she is not impressed with Jeremiah at all. His last secretary, Jannie, is a deeply disturbed and his father sacked her [the only good thing he did in the story]. Despite his father he gives her the job [although she is more than qualified] and they have sparks sizzling between them the whole time. Things develop quickly and soon the embers in the fire are ignited and a few people are mad about it. This book is, in my opinion, Ali Parker’s best yet. I love her books normally but this went one step beyond. I loved his new ‘toy’ car but it made me gasp with what happened to it. I loved how his friends rallied round Steph and the scene were Jeremiah goes to see his father after being warned by Nick, should go down as one of the funniest scenes in the book – priceless! I had such a good laugh re-reading it as it was so good. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here. To say that I just recommend this book is the understatement of the year. It is terrific with fabulous writing, a storyline that had me on the edge of my seat and so much chemistry between the two of them that you need a fa/ac to keep you cool. I would love to read Nick and the other’s HEA’s in the future as they are just too good not to do more with them.

Silk and Shadows (The Virgin Diaries Book 3) by Lauren Landish

   My Favourite Of Lauren’s Books 

WARNING: STEAM HEAT

This is, without a doubt, my favourite story by Lauren Landish and will be one that I will be re-reading many times in the future. It made me laugh out loud.  It made me refuse to put it down due to the suspense. It was RED HOT with passion and, eventually, LOVE.  It had a few twists that made the storyline so much more compelling.  Zack seemed to be the arrogant typical football jock who was failing at the academic side of college when he needed extra help from a tutor but his coach wanted it kept quiet so  Norma [nerd, bratty young woman with oodles of confidence , at least on the surface, and excelling at English, who works for the college paper is asked to help]. Norma only does this to help promote her journalistic hopes for the future.  Zack turns up over an hour late for their first ‘date’ in the library and she is NOT impressed with him at all.  This is a welcome and delightful surprise for him as he thinks she is gorgeous but shy despite being a total brat to him. SO he calls her Brat. Their banter is HOT and great fun to read.  As time goers by you get to see their relationship changing as they get to know one another. if you are easily shocked – be prepared.  There is also plenty of humour with these two and they were just so well suited to each other despite  everything else.  But someone is out to get Zack and Norma gets in the way!  How will Zack react to someone hurting his Brat??  I thought the scene where Zack meets her brother, Liam, was a great piece of writing and had me laughing – especially when Liam went pale!  The team were wonderful with Norma and I loved that they even had a Norma Bratty manoeuvre for on the field.    I think that once you read this story, that like me you won’t want to put it down.  Book 1,  Satin and Pearls, was fantastic, Leather and Lace continued with Liam and Arianna and was brilliant but this book is my favourite of Lauren’s ever and I have very high hopes for Lauren’s next book!. I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

My Last Chance: (A Single Mom Secret Baby Second Chance Love Story) by Weston Parker

  Every good girl deserves a bad boy. ~ Weston

Oh boy!!  Did I want to give a few slaps and shakes to Sean, our ‘hero’ in this book.  He lived next door to Lana for years as they were growing up and she had a crush on him.  They have a ‘moment’ in a hot tub after his disastrous prom night but he tells her to keep it a secret and tell no one. So she does. She’s really hurt by his behaviour and he ignores her for the next few weeks before he goes off to college.  Move forward six years and they have both altered.  She’s now refines, polished and a confident, feisty young woman with a six year old son called Peter [no dad in the picture – hint hint!]  She’s a web designer and she has an app for Parents that she wants to fully create and launch so she goes to a very successful company, Burbank Marketing, which is owned and run by Sean [but she doesn’t know that till she attends an interview with him]. Both plead later that they recognised each other but pretend they don’t.  Sean is the first hero of Weston Parker’s that I don’t like. He’s a really arrogant so and so [if you know what I mean] and shows no remorse for leaving Lana to be pregnant on her own, give birth and have no support as she brought up his son. She is an absolute star and he was a pathetic jerk too busy being a womanising playboy.  I felt that he needed to grovel and beg for hers and Peter’s forgiveness but it never really got to the stage that he and Peter were formally introduced as father and son. I really think it would have been improved if there had been an epilogue a while later showing that Sean had matured, was not an arrogant playboy any more and that he was a loving dad to Peter and a faithful lover to Lana.  Having said that, Weston writes beautifully and I will be first in line for his next book as I love his stories.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.
