Football Next Door by Flora Ferrari

  She’s His ONE & Only

Flora Ferrari has done it again and composed a delicious older man/ younger woman instant love romance.   When Thea , a young woman working in LA for an agency, comes home from work one Sunday laden with work files, she drops them when she trips over a football in the hallway outside her apartment. When she returns it to it’s rightful owner, Brady, who is the star quarter back for the local football team, he recognisers that she is The One for him! In fact, he makes it his mission to see her as often as he can and she doesn’t mind in the slightest.  When she goes to a game and he isn’t playing as well as expected the fans seem to blame her but she shows them, and him, exactly who she is cheering for and whose woman she is!  A great read hot, instant love story. Brady does everything he can to show her that she is everything to him and sweeps her off her feet, literally, and is a real romantic hero!  Steam heat and beautifully written.  I look forward to reading her next book as much as I did this one :). I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Bound to Him: by Taylor Wells

  The First Of A Fabulous Four Part Series!

This is the first book that I’ve read by Taylor Wells [although I normally read and enjoy very much, her stories under the name B.B. Hamel].  This is the first of a four part series, Bound To Him, that I am really looking forward to reading. Thom Northcott is the youngest of the Northcott sons and one of the most important, elite families in the city [the other being the Morton family].  Needless to say, the two families are opponents rather than friends.  Northcott industries also indulges in some shady dealings that Emily opposes determinately.  Thom spies her in a protest against his family but there is something about her that mesmerise him and he feels compelled to go to her.  She keeps her family background secret to the point that she even uses another name.  But she does know Thom by reputation and the media.  She is equally attracted to him despite her revulsion of his family’s business dealings.  he tries to romance her by giving her glimpses into the elite lifestyle not realising that she is not the least bit interested and is, in fact, alarmed that someone might recognise her!  This is like a Romeo & Juliet affair but to find out if they get a HEA you’re going to have to get your own copy and read to find out.  I think you will be entertained and not want to put the book down.  I was lucky enough to be given a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.

Most Definitely Recommended – and I am really looking forward to book 2.

Protecting Abigail by R.R. Banks

  A Superb Must Have Read!

R.R. Bank’s writing just exceeds my expectations every time. I love reading his stories and he is a terrific author which is why he is a best selling US author. His storylines in the last year have developed into something so much more than ‘just a story’. I can practically ‘see’ the action happening as I read as his descriptions are so vivid and his characters so believable and lifelike. In this book we meet Abigail who has found the courage to leave her abusive ex and with her brother, Evan’s, support she is starting afresh. In this new life she meets Xavier and his daughter Anna who is such a sweet little girl, whose mother died tragically. It was wonderful to see Abigail gaining confidence and beginning to enjoy her life and forming new friendships and how Xavier lowers his guard and opens his heart which he has closed off to everyone but Anna since her mum died. As his feelings for Abigail grow and are reciprocated, how will they react when mysterious things start happening to her? Will she be able to continue as a teacher? Will their growing feelings be able to grow under these worrying conditions? Such a well thought out and beautifully written story that had me on the edge of my seat. R.R. banks certainly pulled out surprises for me in this latest book and I lost sleep so that I could find out ‘what happened next’! Well worth it. This is a fabulous example of why his writing is so popular and , if you haven’t read any of his books before, [where have you been ??] than this is the perfect book to get you addicted to his stories. First Lust: My Best Friend’s Little Sister Romance by Lauren Wood

   Love At Second Sight

Callie was getting over a break up and went to a club one night. There she met Teddy. Tall and gorgeous and oh so s@xy!  They had a night of red hot passion and said good bye.  Five years later her parents die and she is introduced to a brother, David, whom she knew nothing about before.  So the two are to run their dad’s business together and all is going well until he brings in his best friend, Ted, to be second in command whilst he ran the factory and Callie ran the office. Guess who Ted is?  No he’s not Ted – he’s TEDDY!!!!!  They’ve  both thought of each other over the years and this is their chance to get to know each other even better.  I really loved Teddy as he was such fun and yet so sensible, mature, caring and knew what he was doing.  Callie is a great character but I don’t know why she puts up with David’s bully-boy childish attitude. If I found out that I had a brother like that he would still have to be respectful and not domineering and rude just for the sake of it.  As you can tell – I do not like David at all – he seemed okay at first but just slowly deteriorated in my mind.  As you probably also can tell, I did enjoy this story very much as it was generally very well written [a few typos]  and a fantastic storyline!  Lauren Woods  has pulled out all the stops to give us this great book and I look forward to even more from this USA top best selling author!I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest review of it here.  Get your own copy now – definitely recommended!!

Take My V-Card (San Bravado Billionaires’ Club #5) by Layla Valentine

  Was He Worth Waiting For?

This is the first book that I’ve read by Layla Valentine but it won’t be the last!  What a terrific writing style that is relaxed and so easy to read that the story just flows before your very eyes.  very believable and with great alpha hero,  Blake, and heroine, Rhona.  Six years ago she thought he was going to be her ‘first’ but he left without a word and she has found no one worthy of that position. |So she tries a dating app and guess who ends up being her match?? That’s right none other than Blake but he must make it right this time!  But how is he going to prove he can be trusted and is worthy of her??  Is he just going to leave her again and devastate her or is he really wanting a proper relationship with her?  I enjoyed this so much that I’ve got to go buy another of Layla’s books to enjoy – just have to choose which one!!   I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Definitely recommended – a terrific new author to me!

This is a superb collection of paranormal stories by the best selling author, Vella Day. If you haven’t read any paranormal stories and have a good imagination then I would certainly recommend this set to you.  They are all very well written with fantastic storylines that give you a rich flavour of what the paranormal genre is partly about.  The four stories included are :-

But she is their Fated Mate so no other will do. They just have to persuade her.  All these books are the first i a series so give you a great insight as to what to expect. All very well written, full of intrigue, passion, mystery, secrets and love.    I have read all of the pack war series and loved it very much.  The Hidden Hills Shifters are my second favourite and will sweep you away on their secrets and passion too.  I always look forward to Vella’s stories and I hope this may entice some of you to try her books too.  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Virgin in New York (A Man Who Knows What He Wants #59) by Flora Ferrari

   Another Smouldering Romance

Alexa’s dad has a sense of humour and decides to play a joke on her and his best friend, Alex.  Alexa is a young innocent and is going to New York to work and begin her adult life.  She meets Alex at an art gallery when she accidentally knocks over a very valuable vase but he says it and her!  When they find out who each other is and that she is staying with him [he thought her brother was staying with him], things begin to get heated!  As you can expect from a Flora Ferrari story, you know that there will be plenty of smouldering heat, sizzling chemistry between the hero and heroine and that her dad is not going to be happy if the two of them get into a relationship together.  But bearing in mind how strongly attracted to each other they are, I don’t think it will make any difference.  I had a great time reading this story and I hope that you will too.   Boss’s Niece To Love Too!

Jacob’s sister and brother-in-law die in an accident and he is left as guardian of their baby daughter.  He needs help!  His business partner and best friend’s daughter, Mina, has been  a visible presence in his life for a few years now but she is his best friend’s young daughter c[well young to him! And obviously taboo] but he could do with a baby sitter for baby Mia and doing some office work too for experience.  But he didn’t expect the emotions he would also feel towards Mina.  Mina, meanwhile has had a ‘crush’ on Jacob for some time so will her ‘dreams’ come true?  Fabulous storyline and wonderful writing by Floras Ferrari which this book illustrates perfectly.  if you’ve read any of Flora’s books before you know there will be red hot passion, sizzling chemistry and humour.  I LOVED this story and am waiting now for her next story impatiently!!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.  Definitely Recommended !

   A great collection

This is a fantastic collection of stories about the Cynfell Brothers by Samantha Holt that will keep you ‘plastered’ to your Kindle until you’ve finished reading all seven books.  I had read book two, Sinful Deeds, before and this piqued my interest in reading all the books.  When learning about Dante and his mistress, Josephine, and his shock on discovering that she is ending their relationship because she wants more than just being a mistress – even to him!   get yourself a copy, settle yourself down and enjoy!  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.   Second Chances

Umar isn’t just a Sheik – he is a sheik whose little girl loves to listen to Shannon who used to be in the charts with several songs. But fame has passed by so when she gets a call asking for her to play for his daughter’s birthday party she is delighted to accept.  She doesn’t let on that she is no longer very busy and tries to keep up the myth of her fame and Umar falls for her just as his daughter [who is a real sweetheart] and Shannon falls for him too. What happens when he finds out the truth? Will he give her a second chance? He thinks that shes made a fool of him!  So well written by Holly Rayner and Ana Sparks that you may be like me and not want to put the book down [I took my kindle with me virtually everywhere].
