Starter Set-Paranormal Romance: The first books in four of my Paranormal series by Vella Day

  Let These Entice You 

This is a superb collection of paranormal stories by the best selling author, Vella Day. If you haven’t read any paranormal stories and have a good imagination then I would certainly recommend this set to you.  They are all very well written with fantastic storylines that give you a rich flavour of what the paranormal genre is partly about.  The four stories included are :-

PACK WARS – Training Their Mate – this is my favourite of the four books included and is concerned by two wolf shifters who find their mate who is a human. But she is their Fated Mate so no other will do. They just have to persuade her.  All these books are the first i a series so give you a great insight as to what to expect. All very well written, full of intrigue, passion, mystery, secrets and love.    I have read all of the pack war series and loved it very much.  The Hidden Hills Shifters are my second favourite and will sweep you away on their secrets and passion too.  I always look forward to Vella’s stories and I hope this may entice some of you to try her books too.  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  A Brilliant Collection

Three fabulous stories altogether in one collection that will keep you captivated for hours.  Very well written by J.S. Striker who is wonderful with her knowledge of the paranormal.  These hunky alpha wolf shifters will have you panting for more!  Each one is a real page turner with a fascinating storyline that is just that bit different to keep you engrossed.  I loved the witty banter between the heroes and heroines.  My favourite was book 2 – read it and I hope you see why! A Howling Success: Love Spells (Jezibaba Saga Book 3) by Donna McDonald

  Keeping The Alpha Strong

This is book three of the Jezibaba Saga by Donna McDonald that will have you turning page after page enjoying the romance between two of the characters [Moona and Jared]. He is the alpha of the local werewolf pack and she is a werewolf healer as well as a wolf shifter BUT she just can’t seem to shift.  Jared has loved her for a long time and she longs to be his mate but it would weaken his position as alpha if his mate couldn’t shift too. What is Moona to do??  You’re going to experience love, loyalty, romance, laughter, deceit, just plain meanness, spite and intrigue!  In other words, with the splendid writing and storyline too – this is the perfect book to entertain and bewitch you.  I really enjoyed this latest book by Donna – just as I’ve enjoyed the rest of the series and I encourage you to read the others in the series too.  I received a reader’s copy of this book and voluntarily leave my honest opinion of it here.   Definitely recommended!

Rhylan (Lost Wolves, #2) by Emilia Hartley

  These Two Wolves belong Together

This continues the wonderful series by Emilia Hartley. In this book we meet Rhylan who doesn’t know how or if he can explain to his family and friends that he has been turned into a wolf shifter.  he meets the maid in the hotel, Thalia, and she is the daughter of the local alpha and they are both very attracted to each other. But she is to be married and the shifter is on his way.  Do Rhylan and Thalia stand a chance of a happy ever after together as these two wolves seem perfect for each other?  So well written by Emilia who is an expert in writing about the paranormal and draws you into her stories so easily.  I have read each book in the series in order and have enjoyed each and every one of them – especially as characters form prior books keep appearing and so we get to ‘glimpse’ how their own HEA’s are progressing.  Great story! I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

  An Excellent Introduction To The Paranormal

Evan:-  A bear shifter and policeman. When a new inhabitant joins the town to take over the florist shop that her grandmother owned, Evan pays a visit and knows that Deanna is going to be very special in his life!

Garrett:- Another bear shifter and deputy sheriff in Orville.  When rogues attack and kill a well respected  member of the community who was a vampire.  So he ends up looking after three new vampires to the town and this means that he comes in contact with Angel. Angel, a vampire, is used to life being difficult but Garrett isn’t making it any easier. But there is an attraction between them – no matter how hard they try to ignore it.

Adam:-  He appears at Hazel, the town’s ‘doctor’ for help.  He is an ancient soul but keeps exactly what he is a secret as he doesn’t want to lead to any harm coming to Hazel’s door.

Nikoli :- The sheriff and bear shifter who is suspicious of everyone –  particularly the witch who is very powerful and lives like a hermit on her own.  But there is more to her than at first sight. Irene just wants to be left alone to practice her magic and this interfering sheriff is just getting in the way. And he is maddening!!!

This is one wonderful collection of stories by J.S. Striker that I thoroughly enjoyed reading one straight after the other.  I liked the style of writing and the wonderful, interesting storylines that kept me on my toes and wondering what was going to happen next.  If you haven’t read any paranormal before then this is a great collection to help you get the ‘bug’.  As it contains bear shifters, my favourites, this really appealed to me. Jax by Emilia Hartley

    Finding His Mate

Emilia Hartley is one of the names that I always think of when I here ‘paranormal’ as her shifter stories are fantastic. With well developed characters that I love [or detest if they’re the bad guy] and terrific storylines.   In this story we meet Jax who is a wolf shifter who has left his pack after failing to protect his Alpha [well as far as he is concerned he failed].  This is a spin off series from The Outcast Bears series which I LOVED.  Sydney is a detective and has been told she must find clues to help solve three murders that seem to be totally unrelated. This is how she comes across Jax who is a loner, very sexy, mysterious and no one knows much about him.  Jax is very drawn to this feisty female but he knows something that she doesn’t, as yet., and that is that she is his mate!  The attraction between them is off the charts and the intimate scenes between them will maybe make your Kindle melt.  Such a great story and I rooted for these two right from their first meeting.  Will Sydney solve the murders?  Will she put herself in danger? What will she do when she finds out that Jax is a shifter? Surely she can’t believe that Jax is the murderer??  To find our this and more you’ll need to get your own copy and enjoy the suspenseful romance. Mordred-Night Wolves by Lisa Daniels

  Princesses, Magic & Shifters

Kiara is a Princess to her people and is surprised that she is going to have an arranged marriage to help a treaty between her people and the ‘Gods’ and ‘shifters’ in the magical world.  this is a very different type of story from the usual ones that I have read by Lisa Daniels but I’m looking forward to reading the rest of this series already because it is ‘different’!  I have enjoyed reading Lisa’s shifter stories but am not used to reading about magic so I’m hoping to find another genre that I will want to read.  Mordred is quite an alpha male and Kiara is so very different from him that I assume that there is going to be plenty of sparks flying!  I enjoyed this book and found it entertaining and am now patiently waiting for book 2 to be available.  I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The Clan Legacy Complete Series Box Set by J. S. Striker

 Paranormal Stories At Their Best

This is a fabulous collection of eleven paranormal stories by J. S. Striker who is a terrific author who really knows how to draw the reader into the storyline and maintain their attention right to the very end.  There is something for everyone in this collection. There are wolf shifters, dragon shifters, bear shifters [my personal favourites], panther shifters and vampires! If you haven’t tried reading any paranormal stories before then you are in for a treat with this well written bundle.  I have no qualms at all about encouraging you to get yourselves a copy of this now and enjoy.  With hunky heroes and feisty heroines, plenty of ‘bad’ guys, twists and suspense that will keep you on the edges of your seats but also getting hot in the steamy sexy scenes!!

This is part of the Clan Legacy Series by J.S. Striker, but don’t let that put you off as this can easily be read as a standalone or as part of the complete series. For those who have read the series like me, I remember Simon in prior episodes. The blurb is very true to the book. Robin wants to be the best witch ever and her friend Simon, from long ago, just wants to settle down with a wolf shifter and enjoy family life. Having not seen each other in a few years they are taken aback by the sizzling passion they feel for one another. On a mission together, Simon becomes jealous and has difficulty hiding it. Robin also is having trouble keeping her desires for him in check. Who will give in first? This is a really fun read and story that I enjoyed immensely and look forward to the next story. Bearly Rescued: A Howls Romance (Mates of Bear Paw River #3) by Everleigh Clark

   Can They Find A Way to a  HEA  For Them?

Caleb is a bear shifter who is running away from his past and trying to make amends so he goes undercover to work for a human called bossman who is torturing shifters.  Isabelle, or Izzy, is a princess wolf shifter and has special powers and secrets just like Caleb.  His ‘cover’ as a guard at the facility where Izzy has been captured, when his bear suddenly roars ‘MATE’ but Caleb strives to ignore the mating thrall but the chemistry between him and Izzy is too great and real to ignore.  This is a fantastic paranormal by Everleigh Clark is wonderful to read.  I love many genres of books and paranormal with bear shifters is one of my favourite.  This is so well written with a fabulous storyline, and spectacular characters such as Caleb who is gorgeous and Izzy who is a strong, feisty young woman/wolf shifter that have so much chemistry between them that it’s off the charts. With plenty of red hot, steamy scenes that you’ll need a fan handy to cool yourself down and the passion between them sizzles throughout the story.  So many secrets and such a powerful enemy. Can they find a way to be together for ever?  This is book 3 of the Mates of Bear Paw River and is my personal favourite although the others are wonderful too. This can be read as a standalone quite happily although, I think it’s better reading them all in order.  Enjoy!!!  I look forward to reading more stories by Everleigh Clark.I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
